Baby Bear cabin is part of the Bearwoods cabin group. Sitting on 12 acres bordering the national forest, these three 1 bedroom cabins enjoy peaceful surroundings while still only being minutes from the Park and Lake. The cabins can be rented individually or as a group.
Baby Bear is a roomy 1 bedroom cabin with a covered front porch and a private deck. Perfect for either a couple or a small family, this is the largest of the Bearwood cabins. Baby Bear is able to sleep up to four guests on a roomy King size bed and a day bed w/ trundle in the living room. Everyone loves the large, tile walk-in shower. The open floor plan makes hanging out a breeze, especially when food is involved! With a full service ready to cook kitchen, meal time is a snap! But when the weather is good, you will find yourself drawn to the deck for grilling and relaxing. Don’t forget to take a turn around the fire pit – there is no place better to tell and retell, and probably laugh about, the adventures of the day.
Thinking about going out on the lake or taking ATVs out to explore? A large level circle drive makes Baby Bear a great cabin to pull a boat or trailer through.

Has everything you need for a camping trip. Loved the outdoor space. The deck was peaceful and restful. Close to shops and entertainment if needed. Manager was easy to contact and responded quickly. The cabin has only a couple of stairs which are easy to use. Good for anyone who is somewhat handicapped which I am. Loved our stay would go again.
Although our stay was short and for personal family reasons, we enjoyed the quiet and cozy Baby Bear cabin in the wooded area of Hochatown. I would definitely come back to enjoy a vacation here. Nice surroundings in nature.
Baby bear cabin was clean, quiet, and cozy for a small family (myself and a teen) fishing trip at Broken Bow Lake. Although close to the highway, we were not disturbed by traffic noise due to the trees all around the cabin. There is enough room to drive into the cabin and park with a boat/trailer. The shower is large and has good water pressure. Beds were comfortable. We would stay here again in the future.
Baby Bear is OK but needs maintenance, pictures are deceiving, not particularly handicap friendly getting to the bathroom, bed is quite comfortable, and EVERYTHING is pushing end of road useable. We had a health problem that precluded us from truly enjoying our 59th wedding anniversary! Suggest you bring your own potable water for safety sake! Will stay in the area again but not in Baby Bear for various reasons including value paid for what was received!

Beds need replaced, grill was rusted and grates wouldn’t stay in grill, beds falling in, no window coverings on windows.
I booked this stay for my younger sister and her family. She, her husband, and their two year old son very much deserved a relaxing getaway for the weekend, and this cabin was perfect for them. I heard nothing but positive things from them about their experience. They loved the privacy of the location and everything about the cabin. The pictures they shared with me were beautiful and everything looked very clean. They told me there were no issues finding the location, and check-in was very easy. The communication and directions from the property owner were clear and easy to follow. Overall, I am very pleased with booking this cabin for my family.
The property was wonderful , the only problem was the WiFi password didn’t work. I sent an email and never got a response from the property manager

Cabin
Let me start with, WE HAVE NEVER COMPLAINED about a cabin! Creepy not having windows covered with near by cabins ! We come for privacy! Hung towels and blankets over the full length window door and 2 windows! Walls needed to be painted in living room! The step up bathroom was quite different with no heat! It appeared to be a hunter’s cabin! The bedroom hand unfinished concrete floors ! It did have a rug over most of it and some of the blinds were broken in there.
The location is really nice, just north of Hochatown which made it kind of easy to avoid traffic. The home/property came with all the linens and amenities noted in the listing, and the inside was very clean and organized. The checkout process was clear and easy.
My critiques that knock the rating down a star would be the outside of the property and the bed. The outside looked a little unkept, and the deck was almost spongy. I feel like the wood could use some love. We planned on using the grill for dinner one night but decided against it after seeing it's condition - it's old and rusted out the bottom, so it didn't seem safe to use. The king bed's mattress was clean but very uncomfortable to put it lightly. There's a large dip in the middle making for a less than stellar sleep.
Overall content with our stay.
to the owners credit, the TV and furniture have been upgraded in the living area. We were disappointed in the lack of utensils and no cork opener for wine. Lack of soap/shampoo in the shower. We have stayed in multiple Hochatown cabins and while not fair to compare this property to them we felt like the price for what we received was out of line. Surprised there is a "cleaning fee" when we had to wash dishes (no dishwasher). The internet was a bit hit or miss as well. Lighting int the cabin was a bit of a challenge. We are guessing this may be one of the first cabins available in Hochatown prior to the "million dollar" cabins being constructed as this is a cinderblock property. We did like the deck and firepit.

Labor Day 2024
The place was close to everywhere we wanted to go, shopping, sights and the lake. It is a bit run down, however, and some of the furniture needs replacing. It needs blinds or full window curtains for privacy because there were only half-curtains. We hung sheets up for privacy from other cabins which were approximately 100 feet away. The remote for the air conditioner was dead and there were several light bulbs out. The host came out the first night and traded the batteries from another remote and an employee brought lightbulbs on our third and last night after we bought some replacements ourselves. The back patio lights did not work. If you want to grill outside, you should bring your own grill due to the poor conditions of the gas and charcoal grills provided. Finally, the bed was a lot more firm than we are accustomed to. It was possibly worth what we paid but we will not stay there again.
