We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin in Packwood! The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great weekend getaway. The location was also perfect — only about a 20-minute drive to Mount Rainier, which made it so convenient for hiking and exploring the area.The host was wonderful and communication was always quick and easy. I accidentally left my hiking boots at the property after we checked out, and the host was incredibly responsive and even let me back in to retrieve them. I really appreciated how accommodating and helpful they were!Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, convenient, and relaxing place to stay near Mount Rainier!

This is a basic cabin, nothing fancy, that met our needs. The living/dining area is a bit cramped and main bedroom needed some updating. The upper level sleeping area is very spacious and having two full bathrooms was great. Had to request check-in instructions, they were not sent automatically, which seemed odd. Loved seeing mama and baby deer in there front yard!Owner could invest a little.more to make this cabin feel homey. But overall a decent stay.

Great location and comfortable.

Papa's Cabin is cozy and comfortable. Great location near Packwood and grocery/ restaraunts. Easy drive to White Pass Ski. We would stay here again.

Good base for exploring national park

We enjoyed 3 nights at the cabin. After 6-7 miles of hiking each day, it was a great place to relax and prepare for the day ahead. We enjoyed mostly groceries but did have yummy pizza at Cruisers and a terrific breakfast at the Mountain Goat. Thanks for a great stay!

we had a good time there. A little tight, but it worked for the eight of us. One recommendation would be to put some new slip resistant treads on the outdoorsteps as a couple of us took a fall, but no injuries

Very cozy, cute cabin. Everything was perfectly organized, well stocked and clean. We stayed for two nights while visiting Mount Rainier national Park. It was a good location with easy entrance into the park. The town of Packwood was. just five minutes away, making grocery shopping and dinners out very convenient.

Perfect home base

We really enjoyed our stay at Papa’s cabin! It was a perfect home base for us as we spent a lot of time exploring and hiking. Great access to town, restaurants, and grocery store. We took advantage of the fire pit, grill and outside deck. It was just a peaceful and pretty location to spend time with family.

Perfect Rainier Base Camp

The cabin is very close to the Stevens Canyon entrance to Mt. Rainier and was very comfortable for our family of 4 with room to spare. Our boys loved the loft area and it was very convenient to have bathrooms on both floors. It was very clean and comfortable with great amenities for cooking and entertainment. I would definitively stay here again and recommend it to others visiting the area.

Cozy spot

This cabin was perfect for our ski weekend. It was well equipped, comfortable, cozy and very quiet. We loved the old cabin feel; but it has good amenities-kitchen was well equipped and well labeled. Bathrooms were good, bedrooms comfortable. We really enjoyed coming home after stellar skiing at White Pass and relaxing. We’ll stay here again!

Mount Rainier getaway

We had a great time using this house as a base as we explored Mount Rainier. The house was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. There was even cooking oil and some spices available.
