Other Things to Note:
**Technology, Wi-Fi & Cell Service**
As of 2025, our Mt. Baker-area homes now have high-speed fiber internet, making it easier for guests to work remotely, stream favorite shows, check in with work, or stay connected while enjoying a peaceful mountain getaway.
The home includes free WiFi and a smart TV for streaming your favorite subscription channels. Please note that streaming subscriptions are not included, so guests will need to log in with their own accounts.
Cell service can still be limited in Glacier and the surrounding mountain communities depending on your carrier, though some guests find service near the Mt. Baker Ski Area.
While fiber internet has greatly improved connectivity in the area, this is still a rural mountain community where service can occasionally be impacted by storms, power outages, falling trees, weather, or regional service interruptions. These circumstances are beyond our control, and we are unable to offer refunds or discounts due to WiFi outages, speed, or service disruptions.
We recommend downloading your driving directions, check in instructions, trail maps, and any must have entertainment before arrival, just in case mountain weather or service interruptions decide to make an appearance.
**Mountain Living, Wildlife, Weather & Local Area Notes**
This home is located in a lush mountain rainforest near the base of Mt. Baker. One of the most beautiful parts of staying here is being surrounded by towering trees, fresh air, wildlife, changing weather, and nature in every direction.
Because this is a rural mountain environment, we share the area with forest critters both large and small. From ants and bats to mice, raccoons, bears, and bobcats, we do everything possible to keep nature outside where it belongs, but guests should expect that this is not a city setting. Please help us protect the home and local wildlife by keeping doors closed, storing food indoors, and never leaving food, coolers, or garbage outside. To wildlife, anything left outside can look like a free meal.
The mountains offer incredible beauty in every season, but predictable weather is not one of them. Please come prepared for changing conditions, including warm summer days, heavy rain in the spring and fall, and snow, ice, and freezing temperatures in the winter. During the winter months, we strongly recommend bringing a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle, as snow and ice can make mountain roads, neighborhood roads, and driveways challenging.
Power outages and regional service interruptions can happen from time to time due to storms, snow, wind, falling trees, or other mountain conditions. These situations are outside of our control, and we do not offer refunds or discounts for loss of power, internet, or weather related conditions.
We also recommend arriving prepared with groceries and provisions. Large grocery runs are best done in Bellingham before heading up the mountain, about 45 minutes away. There are a few small, locally owned markets and grocery stops along Mt. Baker Highway, and restaurants in the Glacier and Mt. Baker area are limited, with seasonal hours that may vary during slower times of year.
Come prepared, settle in, and enjoy the slower pace of mountain life.

This is an amazing place to stay if you are visiting Mount Baker or North Cascades National Park. Mount Baker is less than 30 minutes anway and only because you want to go slow and take in the views. North cascades is 2 hours but it is a very nice drive as well. Extremely nice house. Plenty of space to stretch out. Nice hot tub on the front porch. Great restaurant right across from the entrance, Chair 9.
We stayed two nights to ski up at Baker. The location was great (between Glacier and the mountain) and the cabin was charming and well maintained. Everything went smoothly and we would come back. The bed that isn't in the bunk room (full/twin bunk) or the main bedroom is a twin in the hall between the two, but it has a curtain for privacy and worked well for our group (1 guest opted for that instead of a bunk bed).
Everything was perfect! Communication from Luxury Getaways was seamless. We had initially booked a cabin that had a broken hot tub, but they had coordinated a transfer really quickly and was very responsive to our needs. The place we got transferred to was the cutest little cabin. Perfect for small group of friends. The space was really cozy. The hot tub and BBQ was the highlight of our weekend!
It was delightful and we’d love to come back. The only issue was the WiFi. We were still planning to work but the lack of WiFi made it impossible. This was our only complaint
Check in (and check out process) was so convenient!Updated nice kitchen/dining area, everything you need to prepare great meals; be sure to shop before going, as there are only convenient stores in the area- this is exactly the isolation we were seeking!Sky lights light up this rustic cabin nicely; all bedrooms on 2nd floor, plenty of pillows and super comfy beds!!!! Full bath (showers) on both floors (upstairs is quite large/updated and lovely). We had a little trouble with the gas fireplace at first, with such responsive hosts, they gave us tips & it was perfect the rest of our stay! Besides the cozy living room with fireplace and table for playing games, the front deck hot tub was a favorite activity after a day of hiking! Large Douglas Fir and Cedar trees make the cabin feel private and quiet, even though it is located in a secured gated community. Be sure to turn on the tub prior to relaxing to ensure it’s hot enough! Beautiful cabins throughout the community, make for great evening walks. Awesome “Chair 9” directly across from cabin- easy walk - great vibe/pizza.Perfect location to Mt Baker and all of its beauty, drives, hikes, exploring. Grab coffee and a breakfast burrito and green chili scone from Wake ‘N Bakery in the tiny town of Glacier (expect lines- worth it!). We stayed 4 nights- wish we stayed longer!!!! What a great place!
Great rental experience. Cabin is both cozy and has room to spread out. Bed in master bedroom is very comfortable. Good proximity to Mt. Baker. We would definitely stay again.

Thank you for your kind review Kristin! We are happy that you had a comfortable stay in the Forest View Chalet. We would love to host you again anytime! Thank you, The Team at Luxury Getaways
Beautiful cabin with a charming hot tub and great location! Bathroom shower fixtures and kitchen faucet need to be fixed (kitchen leaked on the counter every time it was used and shower faucets don’t work well due to hard water damage), but besides that it was a lovely home and I would stay here again!
It's a cozy a frame with all the beds in the top floor. Temperature was great. We only had 5 people and it was very comfortable for us. Loved the seating options as well. The second bedroom was very small and didn't really have much closet space so we put out luggage in the hall way. One of our guests slept in the bed that's in the hallway so we did want to be careful not to wake him. Also, this was not a big deal for us but there's only one bathroom upstairs and that's in the master bedroom. We ended up going downstairs to use the bathroom at night. The place was really well maintained and very clean. Hope to be back soon!
Everything about this home exceeded our expectations. The house was ideal for our family of adults kids. We made it to Mt Baker on a Saturday morning in about 30 minutes. Returning to the home we enjoyed the hot tub after a day on the slopes. The kitchen was well stocked and was great for cooking. The fireplace in the living room generated plenty of heat. Very comfortable bed in the large master suite.

Your getaway sounds fantastic and it is exactly why we do what we do! Family time is so valuable and it goes by so quickly. We really value you at Luxury Getaways and please do let us help with your next stay in the Mt. Baker National Forrest.
This place was a very comfortable winter getaway - other than it rained the whole time and the kids were definitely hoping for some snow. Nicely supplied with basic necessities.
