Spring 2024

We had an excellent time in Hilton Head and the property was wonderful. We paid extra to have the pool heated, which we are glad we did! The kids spent many hours in the pool each day. One complaint is that there were trucks and workers in front of the house each day doing work at the edge of the property. It was very loud. Another issue was that our group had three adult couples, but the house only has two king size beds. The other guest rooms on the second floor have small beds with very uncomfortable mattresses. Other than those two things, we had a fantastic stay and will definitely visit Hilton Head again next year!

Overall our experience was very good. The home was clean and very spacious. I would recommend a few items. The kitchen is in need of kitchen accessories, pots, pans, cutlery and the like. Many are very old and handles are loose and do not work. The whirlpool heat did not come on after 7pm. The timer seemed to time out and we could not figure this out. The grill caught fire and was replaced promptly as well as the bed frame in a guest bedroom. The house could also use some painting and updating to the carpets which are dirty and worn.Thank you,

Large house for large family beach trip!

Excellent location with plenty of rooms and bathrooms. Everything worked as expected. Realized the hot hub/spa was not already setup to be heated. Had to call on the third day, to have it turned on. Wished I would had know that was an added charge ahead of time. Other than that…was a great house and met all our needs.

Good Property but Tired

Liked the location to beach and size of the house. Not very clean when checked in. Refrigerator was not working properly and one in garage was far and dirty. They did fix next day but lost food in freezer. Sofa dirty and broken and told new one ordered. Did not help us! Grill had no gas but they replaced later same day. Overall great vacation as with family. This house needs a proper cleaning and new carpets and lots of TLC.

The owner’s have had a new sofa on back order due to Covid since March 2021 and should be delivered sometime in September. As you are aware, the refrigerator is less than a year old and simply needed some minor adjustments to restore everything to the correct settings. Hilton Head Family Time at 4 Urchin Manor

4 Urchin was perfect for our immediate family. We annually share a beach house with kids and grandkids so that at least once a year we are all together at the same time. HH is one of our favorite spots. Due to my husband's death and Covid, we skipped two summers. 4 Urchin provided space, location, easy beach access. All was good. A beautiful, well kept property.
