This house was great! The location address is off. Just put in New Heaven The house is large and accommodated our family comfortably. It truly is Ski on/offWhich great for breaks. There are not a ton of cooking supplies available but they do have the basics. The master bedroom bed is comfortable. But most of the other bed truly needs replaced. Few are bowing/sink. But the house is great.

Thank you for your feedback. We are glad you had a great stay. -The Canaan Realty Team
Located on Timberline Mountain, this cabin was a great spot for a large group of friends. Plenty of entertainment at the house.
Our only trouble was initially finding the home. The directions drop you at an intersection of other neighborhoods. We had to guess and keep driving up the mountain. The house is not labeled well from the street to identify. We had a party of 12 and every car arriving missed the house.

Not Bad
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary Aug 31 2023 for a few days. The home itself is huge and beautiful. However it desperately needs some updates. All of the couches are completely worn out. The knob to the tub in the master bath that turns the shower nozzle on was completely broken off. It really needs a good deep cleaning. It wasn’t horrible but had a lot of large cobwebs, the floors and rugs needed vacuumed, and just generally not squeaky clean. The jets on the hot tub didn’t work. The downstairs master bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the sheets were amazing (I would love to know the brand so I can buy for home). I love the location of the house. It is very private and peaceful. I would probably recommend this house to friends and family. I definitely would if the above was fixed and a few updates were made.
Great house to enjoy everything that the resort has to offer
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We try to make it to Timberline once a year with another family and we decided to stay here, this year. We had 4 adults and 4 kids, one being an infant, and it was perfect for us. It was spacious and accommodating. The main level was perfect for entertaining with the wide open floor plan of the kitchen and living room blending together. The downstairs was perfect for the kids and adults to have fun playing pool and using the arcade games. There is so much room downstairs that another bedroom could be added while leaving plenty of room for all of activities that are available. That area was a perfect place to go for the kiddos to go when they would be bored with the adults. Ski in/out was perfect for us since all of the kids have the ability to go down a blue slope. This would be difficult for some if they are not comfortable and confident on skis or a snowboard.
The only negative that I would say is that the floors are SUPER creaky, particularly on the main level. This was not a problem except I am an early riser that likes to make coffee and breakfast for everyone before they wake and in doing so I woke most of the house up.
I would highly recommend!

Fine but not well-stocked
This house is in a convenient location and has plenty of space. However, it is not thoughtfully stocked at all. The kitchen has some of the basics, but absolutely nothing disposable that most rentals have - paper towels, tin foil, cooking oil, extra trash bags, etc. Basically, nothing is provided. There was no shampoo in the bathrooms, and no extra toilet paper anywhere in the house.
The grill on the deck was left disgusting by prior tenants and had not been cleaned (it literally had bird poop on it) and there was nothing provided to clean it with, so it was unusable - which was frustrating since the listing specifically advertised the grill. The showers also were not very well cleaned and had visible mold in the caulking. There were strangely 3 different coffee makers in the cupboards, but none of them had the correct size coffeepot, so that also didn't work.
Overall, the house itself is nice but whoever is cleaning and re-stocking between tenants is doing the bare minimum. I have stayed in this area of WV before and would recommend renting a house that is rented out by the owner (instead of a rental company like this one) since the owners tend to pay more attention to the small things.
We spent Thanksgiving at this house and had an overall wonderful time. The property manager responded to a few initial issues in a timely manner. The view of the skiers going past our house was a fun sight. We hiked and biked and shopped in the towns of Davis and Thomas, soaked in the hot tub and made a fire outside every night. The kitchen is not equipped to do a lot of major cooking for a crowd. The kitchen tools and utensils were cheap and worked poorly, and I have mentioned the things that need improvement to management. The house was also hard to find in the dark, so make sure you read the detailed directions that come with your welcome envelope. The house was spacious and comfortable, and our family had a wonderful time joining together for the holiday weekend. With a little attention, this house would be 5 stars, for sure.
Family vacation loved the seclusion, it was so peaceful.
The grandkids loved the basement and is where they spent most of there time when we weren't out seeing the sights. Kitchen had all the cookware and small appliances we needed, kids even used the blender to make milk shakes we could find the top so they just covered it with a paper plate.
We would definitely like to visit agian.
Overall location was great. The house furniture was dated and tired. The house was not very well equipped with basic kitchen items. The basement is very cold and is not adequately heated.
The house is beautiful and very roomy. We were all (10 people) able to hang out in the living room area, cook and eat together. Unfortunately, the wifi is very spotty, however, we heard from everyone in the area that internet connectivity is an ongoing problem. Highly recommend bringing board games, cards and etc for the evenings.

Nice ski in ski out
Nice house with great access to the lifts. Kitchen was great size but could have used better utensils (quality) and more cutlery and plates. If you didn’t wash one meal you didn’t have plates and cutlery for the next. House is somewhat remote so cooking and staying in will be the guest’s choice. The real problem: driveway and walkway a sheet of ice upon arrival. Not snow...ice which was treacherous and people fell. Property manager not cooperative and not communicative with guest or maintenance people. Owner/management should maintain the driveway and walkways for people to feel safe and welcome. Thank you for the opportunity to submit this review.
This property is incredible, by far the best cabin we have stayed in. It is really a huge house. There are no neighbors close by for now; however, all the land around it is subdivided lots fo4 sale. For now it’s peaceful and quiet, and the house is impeccable with every amenity. It was a perfect getaway.
Just returned from a week at this property. It was all we wanted and expected. We were looking for somewhere to get away and do nothing at a location other than our house (since we've basically been working, living, and playing in our house for the past six months), and it needed to have WiFi because we had two high school kids who are currently doing school virtually. Mission accomplished. We had 7 people for the first half of the week and never felt crowded. The kitchen was well-supplied and had everything we needed to cook each evening. The kids were disappointed that the ping pong table shown in the pictures is no longer there, but the pool table and air hockey table were a hit.. The fire pit and hot tub were well-used, too. This house literally sits along a ski slope. We hiked up the slope to the top, where the lifts let off. (Or will, when the current renovations are complete.) Quite a steep hike... 3 miles round trip from the back porch of the house. I saw some other people complained about needing to strip the sheets and haul the trash out to another location. This is pretty standard for areas with a high percentage of rental properties. No worries here. The only issue we had was that the wifi password provided was incorrect. But we stopped by the rental office and got the correct one. Again, no worries. Oh, and we were a little creeped out when some guys came to service the hot tub. We were eating dinner and they appeared on the deck. A heads up would've been nice. But again, not a big deal. Spacious, cozy house... would definitely rent again!!
We had 7 people and we never felt crowded. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and private. Having access to the Mirror Lake rec area a few miles away was a nice perk.
Overall, a great property. Lots of nice features and space to spread out. We had a few issues - including with starter supplies, check out instructions, and a few others. However, the property manager was responsive and made things right. Recommend.
