The apartment is in Villaconcorde, a town house located in the very heart of Amboise, in a quiet street, rue de la Concorde, renowned as the most elegant of Amboise.
Back again for you guests, wanted to spend a nice stay in Amboise, after 2 years dedicate to long term rental.(this explains why no recent comment).
Villaconcorde, is a 17th century house which has been restored, respecting the charm and authenticity of this historical house, totally dedicated to rental holiday places, with three other apartments with different size.

That is the usual comment of our guests when they arrive ! It's in fact difficult to put it in words but you are virtually at the very door of the Royal Castle, which used to be connected with the house by underground passage 350 years ago... Not just 'a view on the castle' but the feeling that you belong to its history.

A warm welcome is guaranteed by Karine and Thierry, or member of their team, who speak English, and will be pleased to help you to prepare your stay.

Very friendly & helpful hostess with Karine. Great locations in Amboise, right below the castle. All Amboise sites are an easy walk away. We’ll recommend this to other travelers. Karine also owns a tour service, but we weren’t aware of it before our trip. May be helpful for other travelers to know about her tours. Merci

appartement agréable

très bien situé en centre ville, on peut tout faire à pieds ; très belle vue sur le château. l'appartement est bien équipé (une cafetière et la climatisation seraient appréciées, comme dans le reste des appartements, poubelle trop petite et poubelle pour tri sélectif serait à prévoir, rideaux de la pièce principale à remplacer). Bon accueil (la mise en service de la TV un peu laborieuse ;-) et petit déjeuner du 1er matin apprécié.

Merci pour votre commentaire, je vais préciser pour les futurs hôtes, qu'il y a une cafetière que vous n'avez surement pas trouvé + une machine Nespresso. La climatisation vient d’être installée dans l'appartement Chambord de Villaconcorde, et très franchement, avec les ventilateurs qui se trouvent dans l'appartement Amboise à votre disposition, il n'y a pas besoin de climatisation, car l'appartement est au rez de chaussée, le niveau le plus frais de la maison qui est de gros murs de pierre anciens.Vous êtes néanmoins venue à la période la plus chaude du mois d'aout.... Nous qui nous occupons du tri sélectif après votre départ, comme cela vous n'avez pas à le faire. Les rideaux viennent d’être changés, ils sont tous neufs, mais un crochet était cassé, il a été remplacé. Karine

Location, Location, Location - Charming Stay!!!

First of all our host, Karine as wonderful. We had a little trouble finding the apartment and she patiently guided us to the right spot. Upon arrival, Karine took great care to explain all workings of the apartment and where various businesses were located (super market, restaurants) My wife and I stayed in the 1 bedroom ground floor apartment at Villaconcorde as a gift from my colleagues in the US and they couldn't have picked a better apartment for us. The Villaconcorde is located literally at the base of Chateau Amboise which gives a great old charm feel to the stay. On the opposite side of the Chateau is the entrance along a quaint street with a number of restaurants and shops. We loved everything about our stay - Karine was the best, the location can't be beat, the apartment is quaint, clean and well equipped, and the Chateau is a fabulous for an afternoon visit!!!!

Great Location in Amboise!

Six of stayed in the "penthouse" apartment at Villaconcorde. Great location. Castle Amboise is directly across the street! Great view and convenience to both the castle and the rest that Amboise has to offer (which is considerable)! Living area, kitchen and downstairs bathrooms are very nice. There is only one negative: The "loft" bedroom and bathroom are attractive, but the low, slanted ceilings are a challenge for people who aren't very short. That room might be best for children about age 6 to teens. The owner was very friendly and helpful in arranging taxis for us. The wine they have available is excellent!

Wonderful location

My husband and I stayed in the apt for 3 nights in August. Although it was during the heatwave, we were able to stay relatively cool with the help of fan. I don't think that this would be an issue at other times of the year. The apartment is clean, well-equipped, quiet and is in a great location right beside the castle. Free parking is available on the street if you can find a spot but we used the town parking which was a short walk. Not much of an issue for us. Very convenient to the restaurants and shopping. We attended the market in town where you can buy anything from roast chicken to furniture. Would highly recommend the apt.

Wonderful Week in Amboise

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay in this apartment, which is especially suitable for couples. The apartment is on a quiet street with ample and safe street parking. It is within minutes of walk of rue Nationale and rue Victor Hugo as well as a Carrefour market. Claire was waiting for us at the scheduled check-in time, and she made for us dinner reservations at Michelin starred restaurants both of which are just a few miles away. We’d stay there again if we return to Loire Valley in the future.

A womderful holiday in a wonderful part of the World.

Our week long stay at Villaconcorde in Amboise was wonderful. The Apartment is perfectly positioned in Amboise, immediately adjacent to the Chateau and within easy access to many other marvellous Chateaus and Castles of The Loire Valley. The Town Centre and things like the supermarket are just a few minutes walk away - perfect. The railway station is also in walking distance (20 minutes). The apartment is comfortable and comes with everything neccessary for an excellent holiday in this great part of the World. Our hosts were fabulous, the meet and greet was perfect and there was a really nice breakfast left for us on the first day (it lasted several days!!). Karine and Thierry can also offer excellent tours in the area. They also rent cars and provide all of the services that you would expect from a travel agent. Easter in Amboise

We stayed at VillaConcorde over Easter 2012 and had the most fabulous time. Karine organised every aspect of our stay from restaurant bookings to car hire which made our stay very relaxing and ensured we got the most from our time there. Hello Thierry and Karine I just wanted to write to you and tell you how much we enjoyed our one week stay at VillaConcorde. We could tell that you took great pride in the apartment. Everything there was so thoughtful to the needs of your guests. We particularly enjoyed the "camp" chairs and cooler. Every day we would grab them, fill the cooler full of all that great French Cheese, wine a baguette. and head down to the river to relax. Also the bike tours you mapped out for us were wonderful! The market on Sunday was unbelievable! We had never seen such a market before and came home with our arms full of good treats. We had such a great stay in Amboise. Villaconcorde

We spent a delightful week at the Villa Concorde in Amboise. The location was perfect--just at the foot of the Château d'Amboise and a short walk from the center of town, but on a small, quiet street. We loved walking to the château, market, and cafés and restaurants, and exploring the town and the beautiful river. The apartment was very comfortable, cool (even on very hot days), and nicely furnished. The microwave was inscrutable and I'll never understand French washing machines, but Karine and Thierry left a notebook of instructions for all the appliances so we were able to figure things out. Having the kitchen allowed us to make coffee at home and we even prepared the occasional meal. We enjoyed the bottle of local sparking wine that Karine and Thierry provided, and having breakfast supplies for the first day was great. We were visiting the Loire in order to develop our francetravelplanner website, and Amboise proved to be a great central location for visiting many châteaux and other sites in the area. We were able to make easy day trips from Amboise to about a dozen châteaux, which was great. But we always looked forward to coming home to our apartment and our "neighborhood château" and the assortment of restaurants in town. We ate at many of the restaurants Thierry and Karine recommended and enjoyed them. They also provided various brochures and information about the things to see and do in the area, and these were also very helpful.

Lovely Week in Ambiose

We were very impressed with our accommodation in Villa Concorde this past June. The one bedroom was perfect for the two of us & the unit was exactly as advertised - which is not always the case. The unit was well-equipped & very well located. We enjoyed the few minutes walk to restaurants & castle. It is very well located for exploring the Loire Valley - which we did. We would definitely recommend Villa Concorde to our friends & family. We rented a car from the TGV station (St. Pierre-des-Corps) which worked well to visit nearby tourist sites. Had no problem parking close to the condo.

Wonderful stay in Amboise

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa Concorde in August 2010. The location is ideal for touring the val de Loire, our hosts were very accomodating and helpful, and the welcome sparkling wine was thoroughly enjoyed. The flat is clean, well-equipped and comfortable accomodation, with an excellent view of the chateau. We will highly recommend this rental to friends and family.

OUtstanding Apartment

We were very fortunate to be able to stay a week in Amboise in a beautiful apartment called Villa Concorde. The 17th Century building, on a quiet street at the foot of the Chateau Royal Amboise, has been recently renovated by a young couple into apartments of one, two and three bedrooms. We were able to view each size. Our intended apartment in another town was inadequate, so we had to find an alternative on very short notice. The owners by chance were finishing the renovation of one apartment, but they were very accommodating in working around so we could stay there. The apartments were tastefully furnished with the most modern appliances and very comfortable furniture. The owners are travel agents, so they know and cater to the discriminating traveler. Amboise is an ideal base location for the exploration of the beautiful Loire Valley. We highly recommend the Villa Concorde.

Our trip to the Loire val...

Our trip to the Loire valley in France was wonderful, thanks in no small part to the Villa Concorde. It's a delightful apartment in a perfect location of Amboise, which is a charming town. Amboise is also perfectly located as a hub to do day trips to all the fabulous towns, chateaux and cathedrals in the area. We would do a day trip, come back to the apartment to clean up, relax, have a glass of the delicious local wine, and walk to one of the wonderful Amboise restaurants for dinner. I would definitely recommend Villa Concorde. It's one of the big reasons that our Loire Valley trip was a 10.

October 11, 2009. We jus...

October 11, 2009. We just returned from a seven day holiday in the Loire Valley staying at this beautiful apartment in Amboise. The apartment was perfect in every way and situated right at the base of the wall of Amboise's famous castle. The apartment was very spacious and well equipped, very comfortable and very quiet at all times. We were met upon arrival by Karine who greeted us with a bottle of sparkling wine. Karine was very informative and provided us with very helpful information on the Loire's Chateaus. Amboise itself is a great central location to explore the Loire Valley, as most major sights are within an hours drive. Within a two minute walk from the apartment you find numerous shops, cafe's, restaurants and pizzeria's, as well as some beautiful walks along the river. Also within a fifteen minute drive is the famous wine village of Vouvray which has some great wine caves for tastings. We will definitely return. Mike & Terrie Boston, MA.

My husband, our 10 year-o...

My husband, our 10 year-old daughter and I truly enjoyed our stay at Villa Concorde in Amboise. The apartment is perfectly located to explore both Amboise and the Loire Valley, and was nicely set up for our family. Thierry and Karine were very helpful (and spoke perfect English!) with arranging toursit activities. We especially enjoyed the canoe trip down the Loire from Chouzy to Amboise. We would definately recommend this apartment.

We had a great time stayi...

We had a great time staying at VillaConcorde in Amboise. Karine and Thierry have done a great job setting up the apartment, it was beautiful. The extra touches such as the breakfast foods, chocolate!!, and bottle of champagne were much appreciated. The kitchen is very well equipped, there was even coffee and a French Press coffee maker, nice!! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful with the new high quality fixtures. A combination washer / dryer was very useful as well. Parking was convenient, nearby, and free. I will look forward to visiting here again! Merci Beau Coup!!!!

They wanted to share their passion for the Loire Valley, and in 2002, they seized the opportunity to buy a 17th century townhouse in the most renowned street of Amboise, rue de la Concorde, directly facing the Royal Castle.
Karine is an interior designer and carefully renovated the Villa mixing tradition, charm and authenticity, without any compromise on comfort and equipment.
Thierry is the owner and manager of a Travel Agency," Riverloire" specialized in organizing “a la carte” tours in the Loire Valley.
