Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are close by ( with good walks to each) and the house is an excellent base for exploring all the attractions of the Peak District from walks and cycle rides to steam trains at Matlock and the famous underground caverns at Castleton.
The house has a sunny garden and patio and off-street parking for up to three cars. The accommodation is well-appointed and will sleep up to seven people. There is a large beamed sitting-room with sofas, a fire, TV and DVD and WiFi; a separate dining room with teak furniture; and a fitted modern kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The king-sized bedroom and twin bedded room are both large with fitted wardrobes and the latter has a vanity unit /wash basin. There is a smaller double and a single bedroom. The upstairs bathroom has an electric shower over the bath and there is a an additional shower-room also with WC and wash basin.
