North American grade kitchen with a breakfast bar, and a family sized kitchen table which is perfect for preparing meals, while enjoying the incredible ocean, mountains, and jungle views. The upstairs features two extra large master bedrooms, both with king sized beds, master bathrooms, and private access to the second story balcony with wide open views of the sparkling Pacific Ocean. The generous outdoor space is perfect for fun and entertaining. The tiled infinity pool features underwater seating for fun in the sun while everyone enjoys the unobstructed views of Ojochal and the Pacific Ocean beyond. Dream home with an amazing pool and view

This home has it all! Spacious rooms, modern kitchen, comfortable beds, and an infinity pool with an incredible jungle and ocean view. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of all the birds and howler monkeys. The road to the property can be challenging but worth it!

We loved this property! Beautiful view and house; Sonya was incredibly helpful and there was everything you could imagine to make our stay enjoyable. The drive up from town is not easy and there were power and water outages during a storm but as we understand thats common in the jungle. We would definitely go back!

This house could not have been more PERFECT!!!

What an amazing place to stay!

My wife and I spent 2 amazing weeks in Costa Rica with this property as our home base. We like being in nature, going on hikes, watch birds and this place was perfect for just hanging out and as a home base for excursions to Corcovado and other area parks. What a fabulous location! In our two weeks we never heard or saw a plane or vapor trail. No traffic by the house. Only a rare sailboat out in the ocean. So peaceful just the two of us. Beautiful birds everywhere.

Beautiful view, comfortable home, great area.

We were a group of 4 adults staying here for 1 month. We had a wonderful stay. Each evening the view of the sunset was stunning - it never got old. Being surrounded by jungle and also having an ocean and sunset view to enjoy from the infinity pool was so lovely. We loved having that view from the upper balcony off of the two master bedrooms as well!! It is a nice quiet area, far enough from the main road that you don't hear traffic, just the sounds of the jungle. It is also nice and private - there are some other houses in the area but they are positioned for maximum privacy so you don't see them. The kitchen is well stocked. The internet worked well for 4 of us at the same time. The road through Ojochal to the house is a bit bumpy, but not a problem at all. We loved this area in general, with the lush jungle, the beautiful beaches, and cool small towns, and it is not very busy. The host and property manager were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in South Costa Rica!

This place is beautiful! The house is very comfortable and well equipped, the AC units in the bedrooms work great. The property has an incredible view. You will need a 4x4 to access the property, it is a bit of a drive to get to it, but well worth it. The property caretakers were very responsive and helpful, I highly recommended this property.

Beautiful views

Beautiful location, beautiful home, responsive management/owners ... what else can you ask for when VRBOing? A little bit about us so you know what we value: we are adventurous and we like to cook. In other words, we don't mind driving up a mountain that requires a 4x4 to get to our vacation home -- the reward is a beautiful view of the ocean from up on high and surrounded by luscious cloud forests. Also, we don't eat out, so we value a nicely stocked kitchen. Ciudad Cortes delivered fully on the adventurous mountain and ocean views. It was, however, a little skimpy on the cooking supplies. Don't get me wrong, there were supplies, they just tended to be very cheap and enough were broken to become an annoyance. As an example, the handle was broken on the only sharp chef's knife. If you don't really cook much while on vacation, this probably doesn't matter to you as much. The management was very responsive, and we had a few things that needed attention. When we did, they responded within minutes and sent maintenance or cleaning crews promptly. I'm still giving this VRBO an overall five star rating. It's an exceptional house at an exceptional location. A few correctable things to iron out with a responsive management team does not take away from the experience. You will love your stay at Ciudad Cortes.

Latest Costa Rican stay

Outstanding views, Ocean in the distance and the house was up in the jungle with all the sounds we were looking for. There was nice breezes at night so we could eat outdoors and still be comfortable.. Rooms were all good sized and the beds were comfortable. The only negatives were small ones, toaster needed to be unplugged or it didn't turn off, dust pan was broken (important with Tile floors and no mop. We had some power issues and didn't realize the breakers are outside the property on the pole. The pool guy only came once in 2 weeks and there was no skimmer. BBQ was barely adequate. These are all minor issues and we have just recommended the property to friends. Property managers were very helpful, hooked us up with great places for fish, meat and restaurants. Grocery shopping is convenient and we enjoyed many great meals at the local restaurants. We would love to stay here again , this feels like a true Costa Rican holiday

Casa grande, cómoda, rodeada de naturaleza y con una excelente vista al océano Pacífico

La casa es realmente muy bonita y la vista es espectacular. La terraza que da hacia la piscina es muy funcional y se puede usar tanto de día como de noche. La temperatura del lugar es fresca por la noche y para los más exigentes hay un aire acondicionado en cada habitación. La sala cocina son concepto abierto y la isla en el medio se presta para reunirse mientras se están preparando las comidas. La cocina está bastante completa y cuenta con todos los implementos necesario para cocinar para una familia o un grupo grande. La casa tiene cuatro habitaciones, las dos de arriba son muy amplias, ambas cuentan con un closed grande y baño independiente además comparten una terraza muy cómoda. Las dos habitaciones de abajo cuentan con un closed cómodo y comparten un baño completo. La casa cuenta con un medio baño adicional en el área de la piscina y, a la par, hay una ducha en exteriores para bañarse cuando hace mucho calor. Toda la casa cuenta con agua caliente (inclusive la ducha de exteriores). En la época seca, para acceder a la casa, no es necesario un vehículo 4x4 pero es fuertemente recomendado porque hay un par de cuestas muy empinadas que desafían al vehículo y al conductor. Creo que en la época lluviosa (nosotros alquilamos la propiedad en época seca) es indispensable un vehículo 4x4. La casa está a unos 15 minutos de la calle principal (Costanera Sur). La playa más bonita (a mi gusto) en las cercanías, es playa Ventanas que se alcanza en 20 minutos. Afuera del condominio, casi llegando a Costanera Sur hay dos supermercados bastante surtidos y algunos lugares de comida como una pizzería y un restaurante. La comunicación con la propietaria y con la administradora de la propiedad siempre fue muy fluida y rápida. Excelente opción!!

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this house the first time we stepped out of the car and onto the private sweeping views. After viewing many different homes, this one checked all of the boxes that were important to us. Modern comfort, pool, privacy and most importantly, the views. Dana wanted an ocean view while John wanted a majestic mountain view. This house provides all of the above and so much more, which is a rare accomplishment in Costa Rica.
