Perfect In Every Way

Perfect in every way: from the online booking to our last day! The location is beautiful! The host, Sarah, is extremely accommodating and helpful. She has decorated & stocked the house with everything you’ll need! The kitchen, bedrooms & bathrooms were very user-friendly & comfortable. We enjoyed the back patio & fire pit, with the beautiful red rock backdrop. We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub, but it sure looked inviting! We could feel how much care & attention was put into every detail. Thank you, Sarah & Family, for a wonderful experience! Our family will be back!!

Trip to Durango

The house was very clean and well equipped with all we needed. My kids loved the scavenger hunt they found when we first arrived. Great place to stay and very quiet. But close enough to Durango. Sarah was great host. Ask her for some hike ideas. Would stay again.

Amazing Property!

This is by far the best property we have stayed at! Super clean, comfy beds, awesome scavenger hunt for the kiddos, and amenities such as the hot tub and fire pit are great (also, tons of exploring behind the house). The little goodies, scavenger hunt and note made us feel much welcomed! Perfect family getaway!

Great family vacation!

Out of hiking, obstacle course at Lake Nighthorse, fishing, rafting and a train ride, the Woodshop was our boys favorite place on this family trip! Thank you!

Great house + great host!

Sarah was a great host! My kids loved the scavenger hunt that she had set up for them upon arrival. The house and landscape around the house was beautiful. A house that we’d certainly stay at again.

Hi, I'm Sarah! I've lived in Colorado since 2007, and have been living and hosting in Durango since 2019. I LOVE to travel, and discovering new places is one of my favorite ways to make memories with my family. One of the things I love about hosting is that I get to give guests all the things I look for when I travel. When you stay with me, you will get all of the passion I have for traveling funneled into your stay!

Why they chose this property

After vacationing in Durango many times over the years, we decided to make it our home in 2019. We were drawn by the proximity to so many outdoor adventures, like skiing, hiking, rafting, among so many others. When the opportunity came for us to host travelers to our beloved Durango, we jumped on it and haven't looked back.

What makes this property unique

Our home is located on a road known by locals as the "gold coast." There are gorgeous views in every direction, the house house feels like it's out in the country, but is close enough to town to make shopping and dining convenient. It's also very close to Purgatory Ski Resort, and we're happy to give you tips to get you from the car to the slopes in 15 minutes or less.

In addition to our prime location, we have a lot of amenities that other vacation rentals don't have, like foosball, ping pong, corn hole, a hot tub, amazing fire pit with provided wood, really cool bunk room, gourmet espresso bar, and a surprise for kids.
