House was super clean, the location and neighborhood was perfect with walking distance to almost everything and access to a private beach also just a short walk from house. We would highly recommend this place!
I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay with a wonderful host. The house is in a perfect location, a quaint neighborhood with trees lining the streets. The house had everything we needed and the water pressure in the showers was fantastic! We were fortunate to have wonderful weather, woken up in the morning to happy birds, followed by coffee on the side porch, then a short walk to the beach to relax. I look forward to my next visit!

It was all wonderful! Our host made the process easy and worry free.
The home was pristine upon arrival.
We loved the quiet, picturesque neighborhood and easy beach access ~7 houses down the block.
We found a few cute shops and restaurants just a short walk away. And a ton of shops, beach and harbor sites, and great restaurants by hopping in our car.
We were so sad to have to leave, for sure!
Our host Art was wonderful and very helpful in answering questions about the area. The house was very clean and perfect for our needs. This property is also located conveniently to many of the Cape's other must-sees. Nice neighborhood and short 3 minutes walk to the beach.
We took this rental after our usual one fell through. Great communication, clean and comfortable property with everything you need! Steps to a fabulous beach!!
Found the property to be just as described. We felt at home throughout the house and the time.

Quintessential Cape Cod home and perfect location
Location, location, location! I would argue that this beach is one of Cape Cod's best - the water is warmer, the sand is less rocky, and because it's a private beach it never feels crowded. Being able to also walk to town for breakfast or to the toy store or Sundae school makes the location perfect for a family. The house includes two queen beds - unusual as most Cape rentals have doubles. We spent a lot of our time on the deck while the kids played in the grassy yard. The house, including kitchen, is well-equipped and everything is very clean and taken care of. We wouldn't change a thing!

QUINTESSENTIAL Vacation Stay on Cape Cod
Our lasting impression of the property that we rented in June/2016 was one of a charming , immaculate, well equipped+++, easily accessible, well-groomed beach, fun in the sun experience!! A BIG thank you to the owners for their attention to detail regarding every aspect of our stay from trash disposal to Cape Cod adventures to take out/delivery. We hope to return for many years to come!

After 7 years it is still...
After 7 years it is still magical to come to your cottage. The addition this year of the Wi-fi was very helpful in our careers. We enjoy the closeness of the seashore! We look to returning. ~ Gary & Bonny
About the host
Hosted by Art Akeley
I'm Art and I assist my elderly mother with the property. We are originally from northern ME and initially transplanted to the Cape Cod area in 1991 while serving in the U. S. Coast Guard. I've lived continually on the Cape since 1999 upon return from duty in Hawaii but have been summered in one degree or another at the property all my life.
Why they chose this property
This property was acquired by extended family and has passed through three generations since the 1950's. The next-door property was built by my grandfather with his principal help coming from my mother who was a teenager at the time of construction.
What makes this property unique
Probably the most unique benefit is the closeness of the beach, the vibrant, family-friendly neighborhood, and easy opportunity to explore Cape Cod in most any direction.
