Downtown Historic district at Cascades Park, Best location
Our house is in the Historic district and a few minutes walk to the Capitol and downtown Tallahassee. A short walk to Meyers park with an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a playground and a natural setting for walking. Cascades park is a beautiful park with concrete paths for walking, running or biking which lead to The Capitol/downtown, FSU, FAMU, St Marks trail and other destinations throughout the city. The Proof Brewery and a variety of restaurants are close by. Florida State University is just beyond the downtown area and a short walk. There is a railroad track that runs through downtown Tallahassee and on occasion the warning horn is heard.

We enjoyed our stay at Mike's place. The home is spacious and the beds are comfortable. Everything you need is right there and the location is super convenient to downtown. If you enjoy older homes in established neighborhoods, this is your place. Quiet, convenient, and charming.

Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your review too. We would love for you to stay with us for your any future visits to Tallahassee. Be safe and best of fortunes.
Once again, we had a wonderful stay at this VRBO property. The house was very inviting, very large and had all the essentials that you would need! Great location and close to everything. The host was very easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend this house!!
The house was in a beautiful neighborhood with a great location close to cascade park and downtown. The inside of the house was great and comfortable with everything we needed. The front walk was a bit disappointing and gave us some concern initially about entering the property. It is a great spot but the front yard and doorway need some TLC and clean up.

Thank you for your opinion. I wish you would have informed of this matter while you were in town, I could have created the perfect front walk(?). This is our house so, our dog does have her path that she runs in the front yard and it may not be appealing but, she is our dog and that is her path... Ms Fabian didn't mention the fact that I allowed her to change the reservation, after 3 weeks she realized that her dates were of by a day. This did cause me to cancel and alter our plans, I should have said No, but I do try to make the best of the situation. The fact in a final message on our message board, Ms. Fabian states, "We had a great time and your home was very cozy and in a perfect location. We would stay there again if we go to Tallahassee." should offer some insight also.
The front walk is all that you complain about, then you were looking for a reason to give a 4 star. The rate that you had for a graduation weekend in Tallahassee for a 4 bedroom 2 bath house was exceptional, worthy of 6 stars. If I was charging an exorbitant amount then I may be able to understand your 4 stars, maybe, naaaaah. But the house is very comfortable, very clean, HAS EVERYTHING YOU NEED as you stated, its in a great location and sleeps 8 guests comfortably. Best of fortunes with your life.
The owner made our trip very easy. The trip was for the funeral of a friend. Four of us stayed at this residence. We stayed 3 days, visiting with family and friends of our friend. The owner made everything easy for us. A big THANK YOU to Mike.
Great house close to FSU, good restaurants and Cascades Park
Wonderful cozy house in a very nice neighborhood. It was clean, had comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs! Mike was an excellent host and we would stay here again!!
What a lovely house! Beautiful older property with great bones - fabulously clean! Served as a backdrop to graduation weekend at FSU. Michael’s place is central in the city with a full kitchen and just about all you need in a home away from home - loved it!
Absolutely pleasant stay in quaint Tallahassee neighborhood!
Property own and home were amazing. Coffee maker stopped working and the home owner had a new one at our door in less than an hour. Large spacious owner, clean and homey with every amenity you could think of!!! Fantastic Easter weekend!!

Why they chose this property
This house is in a great location with great neighbors. A dog friendly community, a lot of folks walking their dogs or are riding bikes throughout the day, a beautiful community with the downtown skyline and sunsets at night.
What makes this property unique
The benefits of staying at this location are numerous. First and foremost is the centralized location. Immediately downtown, next to Cascades park (with The Edison Restaurant), Meyers park (with the Wade Wehunt swimming facility), the corridor for trains runs through Cascades Park too. 1 mile from the FSU School of Law and the FSU campus. 1 mile from the FAMU campus as well. The Capitol building is a few minutes walk along with the many museums, restaurants, and nightlife too. The Best Location.
