Cozy and Relaxing get away!

Welcome to “The Gambrel House” a vintage 1970’s California architecture inspired retreat. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway from the city to enjoy some quiet time or a small campfire, this is the place! There is plenty of room for 1 or 2 families but still has a cozy vibe. Enjoy the large deck overlooking the lake or the side yard with fire pit.

Master suite with queen bed, sitting area and writing desk, with a large tiled shower in the bathroom with double vanities.
1 Guest bedroom with a queen size bed and 2nd guest bedroom with a full size bed under a twin xl bunk.
Close to FDR state park, the Flint River and Warm Springs Georgia.

A great place to escape. The house was extremely clean, had everything we needed for our short stay, and my wife went on and on about how beautifully it was decorated! We will definitely stay again!

We stayed for a girls weekend in April 2023 and loved it! The house had a great mix of original structure with updated furniture and decor. All three beds were comfortable. Highly recommend!

Relaxing getaway

We really enjoyed the weekend. We were close to Pine Mountain and Columbus for shopping. Callaway Gardens was also nearby for biking. It was a great weekend. Perfect for a weekend away with friends.

Just right for us

We came to enjoy time with family in the Columbus, GA area. House was comfortable, property manager was helpful. Some items we found during our stay needed repair and did not keep us from enjoying our stay. I will assume they are being fixed as host was most helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful visit

We loved the house. It was spotless. We have rented several houses from VRBO and this one was stocked the best from spices to spray starch. We only used the master bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck looking at the water. We would rent it again.

Cabin Feeling

Cute and decently sized home. We enjoyed the living area and deck and the games that were provided. Lots of minor inconveniences such as only 5 bath towels provided for reservation for 7 people. No dishwasher soap or cleaning spray available. Many bee hives around exterior of house above doors. We enjoyed the view and we saw an Armadillo in the back one night! The Check in and out process was simple and smooth. I would recommend but suggest you bring your own towels and toilet paper, etc.

Visiting Callaway Gardens

We were staying at this house to visit Callaway Gardens that has 10 million lights for Christmas decorations it was simply amazing and so is this house the house was super clean very tastefully decorated and had anything that you would need even a Christmas tree that was gorgeous we loved it and I would recommend it to anyone
