We loved our time at the cabin! We saw a seal in the sound, had two campfires, and did a lot of hiking nearby. It was so beautiful-everything we wanted and more!

This property is in a fantastic location. Less than a twenty minutes by car to everything on the island. Sommes sound is gorgeous and very secluded. Very comfortable for our group of six. Best memories ever!

Gorgeous view of the Sound from the cabin!! Property was great. Owners were wonderful to work with. Had everything we needed. Perfect location to bar harbor, Acadia, and southwest harbor. Saw porpoises and deer from the property. Would highly recommend! Hope to visit again some day!!

We had the most lovely stay! The cabin and view exceeded our expectations, along with the prompt and friendly welcome. We brought kayaks and paddle boards and spent loads of time on the sound, enjoying the wildlife and peaceful setting. It was easy to launch right from the beach, even for our kids (ages 8, 10, 13, 15). The fire pit by the water was the perfect way to wind down each night as the sun set. The location is central to everything, especially our favorites (Echo Lake, Acadia Mountain, Beech Hill Farm!). The house was clean, well stocked, and the hosts were great. We can’t wait to return next summer!

The host checked in and made sure our trip was going well. The home, the accommodations were wonderful. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable; after long days of hiking in Acadia, this made rest so much easier. The picture window overlooking the sound was the favorite part of our morning.

Great cabin

Loved staying at John’s cabin. It’s in a beautiful location and just a few minute drive from all the beauty Acadia has to offer. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was such a relaxing retreat for me and my friends.

Upscale Waterfront Cabin with Spectacular Views

We stayed for a week to enjoy Acadia, hike and experience Mount Desert Island. The cabin was a perfect choice for our group of two couples with room to spare. The setting was about as perfect as it gets.

Beautiful Getaway on Somes Sound

This lovely cabin directly on the sound has amazing views and easy access to the water should you want to dive in. John, the owner, was super helpful, and he has a paddle board for your use and a great fire pit by the water. We truly enjoyed our stay, including the location, views, great beds, beautiful great room and kitchen. Looking forward to our next stay.
