Three story cottage on a quiet, serene lot overlooking Prospect Harbor with views of Corea. Walk down the short steps to the breathtaking ocean scene. This is classic Maine; rugged coastline and crashing surf. Listen to and watch the lobster fishermen and women as they haul their traps getting ready to sell you the freshest Maine lobster around. The house was built in 2004 by a local carpenter who happens to be on your house management team! This house is clean, has a fully stocked kitchen, all linens, is well kept and ready for your enjoyment.
Why battle the crowds on Mount Desert Island when you can stay on the Schoodic Peninsula and do day trips to Bar Harbor? Besides, we have the lovely Schoodic section of Acadia with gorgeous, moss lined hiking and wide biking trails. You are likely to see porpoises, seals, and all manner of sea birds. A moose? Perhaps. Deer? Very likely. Foxes, rabbits, coyotes and regularly...bald eagles.

The location was great, very private and the view was awesome. The sunrises were spectacular and the house accommodated us all nicely. Bar Harbor is just a ferry ride away or you can drive. Acadia NP is a must see. We drove to Bangor and it was a very nice drive.

Beautiful home located on the water. Everything we needed for our stay was there. Kids loved tide pooling on the rocky beach. Enjoyed evenings around the fire pit with Smores. Great family place. Restaurants are limited but what was there was quite good.

Three couples traveled to Maine for vacation and this home couldn't be any nicer. Very clean home with plenty of room for all of us, very well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay, and a stunning location right on the water.

Wonderful time!

We had a wonderful time at Lobster Lodge— fabulous views, beautiful house, great location! We explored both Schoodic Peninsula & MDI and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The local lobster was delicious and Alison was very attentive and helpful! A very relaxing location for family fun! We hope to be back in the future!

Beautiful View!

We utilized the fire pit that overlooked the ocean every evening. If you stay in August bring bug spray! We were prepared, and so thankful we did. The flies in the evening became a little aggressive. We enjoyed the fishermen checking the lobster traps, and we were thrilled to see dolphins one evening. Watching the sunrise outside the living room window was breathtaking! The house was exactly as described and well stocked.

Fall getaway

We enjoyed our time in Maine. The house was just as advertised. We knew we were pushing our luck with the weather. Fortunately we had an incredible weather week. We didn’t see cold or rain until the day we checked out. The house had a lot of room. The location was great for rest and relaxation. We enjoyed watching the boats pass by the front room windows. We spent a lot of time in Schoodic on the trails. It was a great experience.

Sisters Getaway

After looking at over 100 rentals, the review for Lobster Lodge mentioning the crashing waves caught our eyes and was the deciding factor. It did NOT disappoint!! The Lodge is wonderfully situated in a private area with amazing views, spectacular sunrises, and peaceful and serene evenings. Hearing the waves all day and falling asleep to the crashing sounds of the water was just one of the highlights. The Lodge is beautifully done, very inviting, comfortable, clean and fully equipped. Alison is amazing, very attentive and responsive. We certainly plan on returning.

Relaxation at its best

The property is absolutely amazing! Beautiful, quiet location with a view you could stare at for a lifetime. The home is nestled on a beautiful piece of the Maine Coast. Clean, comfortable beds, everything you need is right there in the home for you. The hosts were amazing, sent us texts to check and make sure we had everything we needed and texted recommendations of places to eat, visit and even little local stores to stop by and pick up things we may need. I can not tell you how wonderful this place actually is because words can not give it the credit its due, if you are looking for a place to unwind with family or partner or friends, this is it. I already miss the sound of the waves hitting the rocks at night while drifting off to a wonderful nights sleep. 10 out of 10, would recommend to anyone wanting to disconnect from the world for a bit, don't worry you still have great WIFI.

Amazing, relaxing location!

Lobster Lodge is a beautiful house house with an amazing view. The house is exactly as it appears in the photos - tastefully decorated in a nautical lobster theme, with a fabulous master suite on the second floor and a deck off that bedroom that is the best place to have your morning coffee or afternoon drink. You might be tempted to spend your entire vacation there! The views from the living room, master suite and third floor bedroom can’t even be described. Watching the sunrise from them was a highlight as the lobster boats went out for their day. And you can even see the Prospect Harbor lighthouse from the rocks outside. But the best part of the house is listening to the waves as you fall asleep. It’s truly magical. While the house is definitely a little bit of a trek to shopping, the closeness to Schoodic Point and the adorable town of Winter Harbor is a huge plus. And if you want to go out farther DownEast it’s not far at all. It’s a very special part of Maine that should be visited. Highly recommend Lobster Lodge!!

This fully equipped house was better than promised! It was clean and beautiful and so comfortable.We loved staying here and the view was amazing!! Perfect retreat for a sisters vacation

The view was beautiful with spectacular sunrises. Loved the 4 bedrooms so we could each have our own bedroom and privacy if we wanted.

We had a wonderful time at the Lobster Lodge! We enjoyed hearing the ocean waves and the view from the house. The sun rises very early, so even though there are some shades/curtains, bring an eye mask if you aren't an early riser. We had dinner in Prospect Harbor several times and we recommend Musquito Harbor Brewing Co (the portions were huge), Pickled Wrinkle,and Me and Ben's Dairy Creme (blueberry soft serve was awesome). We also ate at Side Street Cafe in Bar Harbor and they had an excellent menu. Lobster Lodge is really close to the Schoodic Acadia.This side of the park is very quiet and peaceful. It is about an hour drive to Acadia on Mount Desert Island. There was plenty of room for the 8 of us and we even boiled a lobster one of the nights. Check-in and checkout were a breeze. We brought back lots of memories from our time spent here!

Peaceful & relaxing views at this home

If you like to relax, rent this beautiful home! We sat in the chairs by the fire & watched birds, harbor porpoises, bald eagles, squirrels, & deer. We saw hummingbirds & dragonflies. Amazing views inside the home, also!

This property is not far from stores that stock your basic needs but secluded enough to be a real hideaway. It is a fantastic home base for exploring or the perfect place for some serious down time. Kick those feet up and watch the boats go by as you listen to the gulls and the rolling or crashing waves.

What makes this property unique

Stunning views. Privately located but close enough to local restaurants, gas station, grocery stores. Right down the street from "The Pickled Wrinkle," the ever popular local pub where you will find locals and tourists mingling and dancing! This is a spacious house in good condition and the kitchen has all the equipment you need to prepare your own meals.
With a fire pit, picnic table, and patio chairs, gathering together at the end of a day of exploration is relaxing. And don't forget to look up!! Our night sky is amazing and we often see the milky way on clear nights.
