About this property

Lake Erie Getaway-Old Homestead I

Spend a week-or more!-at our cozy, 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage, just steps away from the beach! The cottage sleeps 6-7 people. There is a king sized bed in the master bedroom and a set of bunk beds and a full size bed in the second bedroom. There is a futon in the main sitting area.

The cottage has a full size washer and dryer so you can pack lighter for your stay. There are two window air conditioning units which keep the entire cottage nice and cool on the hottest of days. Don’t worry about doing dishes on your vacation-we’ve got a dishwasher to do that for you.

Linens and towels are provided along with YouTube TV and wireless internet.

Don’t want to leave your pets behind? Then don’t! Up to two dogs permitted with an additional refundable deposit of $200.00 and an additional $25 per week per dog. No Pitt bulls, Dobermans, Rottweilers or Great Danes permitted.

If you are looking for a relaxing beach vacation with everything you need provided, then look no further. The cottage is located in the highly desirable Old Homestead I with private beach access. There is a park and tennis courts located within a block of the cottage. Just hop on one of the bikes we provide and you’ll be there in no top. Three adult sized bikes provided as well as 2 kid sized bikes.

Old Homestead is located in the sleepy town of Huron where you can dine out at Berardis or the Angry Bull or order pizza from Huron Pizza House and eat it in the huge backyard of the cottage while building a nice fire in the fire pit. Rather grill? There’s a gas grill provided where you can do just that.

Huron is only 20 minutes from Sandusky where you could venture out on a day trip to Cedar Point or Great Wolf lodge. Don’t want to leave Huron? Head into town and grab a coffee and walk the pier to the lighthouse at sunset-you’ll be so happy you did!

Are you a beach bum? Don’t worry about packing all your beach gear-we provide it all!! A beach wagon to carry your belongings to the beach, plenty of sand toys and rafts and don’t forget the beach chairs!

Awesome Lake Erie Beach Getaway Spot

As the pandemic summer came to an end, we needed a little break before back to school. This was a perfect choice. Cottage is less than 1,000 feet to the beach. Actual cottage is small. Two bedrooms. one 'master', one with bunk beds and a twin. A small living room, a dining table for 4, kitchen has everything you need. Living quarters are clean and comfortable. outdoor areas a bit more rugged, but was fine for our purposes. It is a private community, and the beach is a private beach as well. Great feature. Front porch very sunny. Back yard, very shaded. Owners have lots of items in the shed for guest use, but if you are particular about what you are sitting on at the beach, or what kind of shade you have out there, bring your own stuff. Convenient shopping a short walk... or drive... grocery, drug store, hardware store. everything you need. I think we wil come again!!!!
