This cozy, A-frame chalet in Chalet Village is approximately 2 miles from the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. It is made even better with free wi-fi, a river rock gas fireplace, wood floors, 48-inch TV, cable and DVD player, and even a private deck with hot tub. This is a secluded Gatlinburg mountain getaway with comfort and charm. This Gatlinburg Chalet has two bedrooms and one bath on each level, so there`s plenty of room for everyone. Equipped with 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, and 1 full bed, everyone in your family or group can be under one roof and still have his or her own space. The upper level has a foosball table and mini pac man arcade game to help keep the little ones busy. A charcoal grill and picnic table are available for outdoor dining for nights in at your Gatlinburg cabin retreat. Smoky Bear Hideaway also offers full access to all three owners club locations during the summer months.

This is a self-catering Gatlinburg vacation rental. We supply the chalet for your arrival with bed and bath linen, hand and bath soap, coffee, decaf, paper towels, bath tissue, dish soap, and dishwasher soap, and trash bags. Upon request, we will replenish supplies one time on a three to four-night stay, or two times on a five to seven-night stay at no charge

Smoky Bear Hideaway is convenient to Ober Gatlinburg, as well as all the fun downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park have to offer. The music theaters and shopping of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, Dollywood and Splash Country, as well as the Arts and Crafts Community, which are just a short drive away.

From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, you can access three Chalet Village Owners` Clubs with outdoor heated pools, playground, tennis, basketball, shuffleboard, pool table, and more.

My family had a great time, although the hot tub didn’t want to stay hot we had a great time.

Much needed break!

We had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed talking in the hot tub each night. Loved the fireplace and enjoyed a little football. The leaves were spectacular.

Kudos to the photographer who posted the images of this unit! Hid the many flaws very well. Mold not only in showers and curtain, but on the ‘extra’ bath towels, the kind you’d use for washing your car quality towels. Multiple lights didn’t work, lots of little things like that that could have easily

We have packed up and headed home early due to weather risks tonight and unsatisfactory stay. This home is near as high as you can go, up a very windy and narrow road, I am not sure how anyone could reach it during snow/frozen, and I highly wish that was mentioned at all. The pictures are not accurate, everything is like an older not fresh version. We have found someone else's old underwear at the bottom of the bed, suggesting they have not been cleaned. The hot tub is broken as well at a low temperature, which was a big factor in our choice of stay. The towels have a strong smell of not being fresh/cigarettes which is extremely off putting. Even the toilet paper smelled of cigarettes. The only extra blanket provided in the closet is extremely foul smelling. For the price we have paid it is disappointing to not feel satisfied with the home. I would recommend staying somewhere else. I was not going to review, but when I messaged the owners about our issues, we never got a response.

Greatly disappointed in this property for the price we paid. It needs a deep cleaning and some repairs. We found dog poop from a previous renter along with dirt and debris under a throw rug. Mattresses are old, broken down along the edges and need to be replaced. If you have back issues, keep looking. Lighting was bad. The bulbs must be the lowest and cheapest you can buy. Also when we arrived the back door was unlocked. It rained and the upstairs bathroom leaked. Only plus I could mention was that prior to our stay the contact person was easy to work with and answered my inquiries promptly. Wish I could be more positive but over all it felt like staying in a Motel 6.

Slightly Disappointed

Although the property was represented accurately, I was disappointed to arrive to an unclean unit. We called and someone came and changed the beds and bathrooms, with the assurance of a full cleaning and supplies, tissue, detergent, towels, on the next day....not. I cleaned the chalet myself and was promised a refund of 1 days rental....not. Disappointed as I trust people to honor their word.

Overall Wonderful Experience. Cozy cabin located on the mountainside. Adventurous drive on a narrow, curvy, steep road. Daily visits from several bears. Keep your car doors locked! No washer or dryer. Hot Tub was below average. Kitchen & bathrooms amenities average. Bedroom closet & dresser filled w/items - unusable. Outside ground needs to be cleaned up.

Nice cabin getaway!

Outstanding location. Very quiet and relaxing but close to downtown Gatlinburg. Very relaxing and we had an up close and personal visit with a large but friendly black bear! Would highly recommend!
