Welcome to Angel's Retreat, a delightful vacation rental nestled atop Ski Mountain in Gatlinburg. This cozy cabin offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it an ideal choice for a romantic getaway or a small family vacation. Step inside the home and you'll be greeted by a spacious and well-lit living area adorned with inviting furnishings, including two La-Z-Boy reclining sofas. Curl up in front of the wood-burning fireplace or enjoy your favorite shows on the large TV with a DVD player. The extra-large windows add a touch of luxury to the ambiance.

The fully equipped eat-in kitchen is a haven for culinary enthusiasts, allowing you to prepare delicious meals without the need for dining out. The expansive deck, accessible from the living and kitchen/dining areas, offers a large and lovely outdoor living/dining space, and it’s sure to become everyone’s favorite spot. Additionally, you'll find a private hot tub on the deck, perfect for soaking while marveling at the breathtaking views of Mt. LeConte and downtown Gatlinburg, especially when illuminated at night.

On the main floor, there are two inviting bedrooms. The king bedroom boasts an ensuite bath, which also opens to the hallway, along with a TV and DVD player for your entertainment. The queen bedroom features an ensuite bath and private deck access, providing a tranquil retreat for relaxation. Ascending the spiral staircase to the upper level, you'll discover a theater room with a wet bar, providing plenty of indoor entertainment for you and yours.

For your convenience, a washer and dryer are available in the basement, ensuring that your laundry needs are easily taken care of. Please note that this property strictly enforces a non-smoking policy and does not allow pets. It's important to mention that the home shares a driveway and has several steps leading to the entry door, which may pose challenges for individuals with mobility limitations or the elderly.

Guests of this Gatlinburg chalet rental have access to three clubhouses, the closest to Angel's Retreat being the S. Loved it!

Secluded & quiet location, friendly customer service, loved the view from the deck & the bears that came to visit. It was nice having the upper covered deck too, for the night it rained. Loved having the use of the pool & the clubhouse for games. The place was immaculate when we checked in. It was convenient having washer/dryer right at the cabin. The chalet has an open floor plan & everything is updated. Would definitely stay there again!

It was clean and had plenty of essentials in the chalet, full kitchen. There were only a few dvd's though, so if you plan to watch tv you might want to bring some. We didn't watch any though, there was too much to do! We saw bears every day, one of them even came right up to the top of the stairs outside! But he just kept on going past, so it was fine. I would stay here again! We loved it!

End up havin a nice time. However first day was of concern. Angels Retreat is a steep drive to get to. Roads were wet from rain. My rear wheel drive Tacoma spun its wheels to get there fully loaded for our stay. We had an event planned that night in Gatlinburg that we missed worried we would not be able to return on wet roads with less weight in truck. So we lost money there. No mention of type of vehicle recommended to get to house. I would have brought my front wheel drive suv had I been given a heads up. Steps too narrow at top of stairway. Absolutely not to code. Oh we also had to have dinner delivered that night too which was extra cost. Thank God the weather was good the rest of the stay, otherwise we would have left early. So renters beware.

A Beautiful Spot Overlooking Gatlinburg

This house is all about the deck. There's a huge outdoor deck that includes a hot tub, a grill, a big table and chairs, and a number of lounge chairs, all with a fabulous view of the mountains and downtown Gatlinburg. The deck is what makes the house wonderful and worthwhile. A couple of small notes for prospective guests and the property manager: first, it's a good 8-minute trek along very steep and winding roads to drive to the house. Be forewarned. Second, the front left burner on the stove doesn't work, and the left burner on the grill doesn't light by itself (we had to light it manually). Also, we recommend getting a kitchen trash can with a lid and supplying more trash bags (there was only one). Finally, the listing should be updated to reflect some of the amenities that the property has (e.g., air conditioning, gas grill) but that aren't listed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view was phenomenal. The master bed was very comfortable, although my 5'2" wife had difficulty getting into it. Overall, the place was clean, but could use some painting and fixing of broken blinds. The 2nd bedroom was too noisy to use due to the loud cycling of the hot tub pump. The main reason we left a day early is that we could not get reliable internet and cell access for 4+ days. The management company was sympathetic, but couldn't get the problem fixed. The cable tv worked, but we couldn't access any of our paid tv apps because of no internet. We'd read about the driveway being steep, but the roads getting to the house were treacherous at night so we stayed in at night. The mother bear and her cubs visited the home next door and we watched from the deck in the morning/early afternoon. We loved having a place with great views, full kitchen and laundry facilities for the week.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was great and well cleaned, but we was expecting a room that was not there. We did not find the pools, but we did not ask either. It was not marked on the map. The pictures that was on VRBO had the top floor with a game room and a jacuzzi. And that was why I chose to stay in the cabin because of a jacuzzi. There was no jacuzzi and not to mention we was locked out of the basement. We had to call the following day to ask how to get access to it. Someone had to bring us a key the second day we was there. Had amazing view. Bears climbing on your vehicle and was definitely an experience we don’t see in south GA.

We will definitely use Mountain Laurel Chalets for our next visit and would love to stay at Angie’s Retreat again.

It has all of the necessary kitchen amenities to cook with, plenty of bath towels, etc. The new coffee bar was and added bonus! We spent days in town and nights in the hot tub and playing games by the fire. On our first day, a family of bears came up to the cabin below the porch. They wandered over to a nearby tree and took a long afternoon nap. It was so much fun to watch them all day. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay! We will be back again soon!

A beautiful chalet with a few changes needed.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall condition was good, clean and the view overlooking the City was beautiful.Initially there were 2 maintenance issues. I called the office and I had a maintenance man at the chalet within 30 minutes. One issue was resolved very quickly. The other issue was the hot tub not getting to temperature. I was told they just dumped the water for a routine service and it would be okay in a few hours. The next morning I contacted the office to notify them that the hot tub water was still cold. We were away from the chalet all day. When we returned the water was still cold. I called the office and again was told to give it a few hours. Later that evening the hot tub was infact okay. There was no communication or follow up from the office. The king size bed was the hardest bed I've ever slept on. The mattress pad had several tears. I understand there are maintenance issues but the lack of communication was poor. PLEASE buy a new mattress!

The view was peaceful and tranquil, exactly what we needed!
