This is a charming 3 bedroom/2 bathroom carriage guest house located on a 4 acre estate nestled in the woods of Bryn Mawr, PA. Great for families and visiting students in local colleges or for business travelers. Newly renovated and fully equipped kitchen is stocked with essentials, crock pot, blender, posts/pans, utensils, microwave, toaster over, coffee maker, etc . There is a deck and grill for outdoor cooking and socializing. The den has 3 sofas to allow plenty of viewing room to enjoy the large screen TV or playing board games on the large coffee table. Free WiFi and games for adults and kids to play. There is a washer & drier. With 3 bedrooms there are 6 beds that easily sleeps 6-9 people sharing king/queen beds. Basic essentials are provided, linens, blankets, towels, shampoo, soap, hair drier, etc. The bedrooms and 1 bathroom are located on the second floor, there is a second full bathroom on the first floor. Very safe and private parking can accommodate large vehicles, trailers and motor homes located far off the street for absolute private parking. Can accommodate up to 4 cars. Near Radnor corporate offices, Universities/colleges, SAP, DO test center, King of Prussia, Newtown Square and only a 35 minute drive to downtown Philadelphia and 20 minutes to Philly airport. Very safe private off street parking for 4 vehicles. Available for long or short term rental.

This property is a welcome respite from the busy vibe that comes from traveling. My family was in town for a wedding. We found the space to be very comfortable, well appointed and clean. Great family getaway

We stayed here for two nights with two kids and two dogs. The Carriage House has a great layout for a family trip, with three sizeable bedrooms that are well located away from the living room and kitchen. The outdoor space is great and there were flowers blooming all around the outside.

Great place to stay! We were in the area for a family reunion, and this home was conveniently located and perfect for us. We enjoyed the beautiful, quiet setting. The 3 bedrooms upstairs had multiple beds with very cozy linens. There are 2 luxurious bathrooms, a handy kitchen with everything we needed, and a livingroom with lots of seating. The home is beautifully decorated and very clean. Check-in and check-out couldn’t have been easier and wi-fi is available. All in all, we’d highly recommend this place!

Had a great weekend at the cottage! Sheila, the owner was very responsive and communication was great! The cottage had plenty of room for our family of six that was in Philadelphia for an event. It was such a great alternative to staying in the city yet very close to visit the city for the event and sightseeing. Very clean and had all the amenities that we needed!!

Shiela's place is great! It's a lovely old carriage house, quiet and well off the road, nicely renovated. It's a lovely wooded & hilly part of the Philly suburbs, 5-10 minute drive to the Main Line colleges (Bryn Mawr and Haverford, in our case). We also appreciated the comfortable bedding and parking for two cars, one behind the other. Be aware one bedroom is accessed via a steep back staircase, might be difficult for some (e.g. elderly) visitors. And HVAC is a bit uneven, with some bedrooms getting quite warm compared to the downstairs. We learned to turn down the temp well before going to bed. All in all a beautiful place, highly recommended!

I am a mother to 4 adult children, I enjoy the outdoors, tennis, golf and soccer. I am a property manager and work out of my home which is the main house on this property located on the same grounds as the carriage house.

Why they chose this property

The carriage house is located an a 4 acre estate and was once part of the grounds to the original Radnor Hunt Club over 200 years old. The Hunt Club still exists but was moved to a larger area off of Route 252 in Berwyn. The beauty of the woods and charm of the main house and carriage house made this an easy decision to purchase. After living in the main house for 8 years we decided it was time to rent out the carriage house and let others enjoy the serenity and beauty of the area.

What makes this property unique

This property is located against a hill filled with trees and an acre of trees along the street in front of the house provides the serenity and privacy that one needs while on vacation or returning from work. With plenty of private parking one can enjoy a stroll along the long driveway or sit on the porch and enjoy the outdoors. We are also a short drive to a few parks and a dog park.
