Staying at David’s house honestly felt like hitting the jackpot! The house is absolutely perfect beautiful, spotless, incredibly comfortable, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay.From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Every detail has been thoughtfully taken care of, and the house was even better than we expected.David was an amazing host. He was always attentive, responsive, and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed throughout our vacation, he gave us great tips. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would come back in a heartbeat. If you’re lucky enough to find this house available, don’t think twice book it!

Property is great. Previous guest checked out late so host scrambled to get it cleaned up for our arrival. Did a good job considering and allowed me to come in a bit early. Host was very communicative during our stay. House has character and a "Chester County Fun Factor". Yard was still in winter shape (April rental) and needs cleanup before summer. Master bedroom suite was amazing. Our son stayed on 3rd floor and enjoyed his own apartment. We have family in the area and would stay there again.

We had a wonderful monthj-long stay in this wonderful home & property. The fenced in yard was perfect for our two overactive Westies. The house was filled with beautiful artwork and had all the modern conveniences we could want. We hope to return for a few weeks in the summer.

Yes, the kitchen was very good for cooking and above expectations. I will be purchasing the same big appliances for my home now from café. The pool wasn’t open yet for the year because it was outdoor so I can’t answer the second question. It looks lovely though.

The house had significant allergens, and when we open the windows, the windowsills were covered in dead bugs, dirt, and other particles. I never had a guest like Renee. The house was left trashed with fast food, bottles and sheets all over the place. She never communicated directly with me. Pillows all over the floor. She left the house mid rental and I never heard from her until after she asserted the house was causing her child and husband to get ill. It was more like food poisoning from what I could gather seeing what they left on the wood island and fridge. She sent her issues to Vrbo - claiming without evidence the house was causing her child and husband to be sick. Many of us are sensitive to allergens and we do a pretty good job of preparing the house. Yet, there are always unknown causes we can't predict well. House has been tested and it is normal. Vrbo handled the complaint without me. I found out Renee left the house when I was offering to put down salt on an icy night during her stay. She never once sent me a text saying there was a problem. And, given most of may family are very sensitive to mold, dust, dander and pollen, Renee's claims after leaving without communicating anything - was her way of trying to get out of paying. It Took two passes to prepare the house for the next guess. Yes, during the fall and winter season, dead bugs do build up in the screens and window jams of most houses. It was December. We have terminix service monthly and on call externally without spray. And, we do clean the place with organic cleaners, use bamboo sheets and pillows.

This is a beautifully restored farmhouse. David the owner takes good care of it, and it is decorated exquisitely. We enjoyed swimming in the well-maintained pool. It felt like a private hotel. The kitchen is spacious, well equipped and overlooks the pool. There is a breakfast nook and formal dining area, a comfortable living room, and an WIFI enabled office. We enjoyed entertaining guests for pool and dinner gatherings.The 2nd floor king bedroom suite is spacious and has a projector TV. Our child slept down the hall in a single bedroom with a dedicated bathroom. On the 3rd floor, there is another suite with a king bedroom, small single bedroom, and spacious bathroom. In my opinion, the house is ideal for large families or two families traveling together. The previous review about allergies does not make any sense based on our family’s experience. In making a decision whether to stay here, I recommend disregarding it.West Chester is a great place to stay. The town is a few minutes away with restaurants and shopping. We were within driving distance of Longwood Gardens, Lancaster County, Valley Forge, Gettysburg, and Our Lady of Czestochowa Shrine. David is a very hospitable host and takes a hands-on approach to making sure guests have all their needs met. This is not an empty house that is rotation rented. It also has unique aspects like being Alexa enabled and having an art studio. I recommend it for a special experience.

Truly a home away from home

We spent a week in this lovely home while visiting family in the area and thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautifully appointed and outfitted with all the necessities and even some extras. Lovely yard, surrounded by high hedges which made it feel like you were in a private oasis of green. Honestly, the fourth bedroom is a bit of a stretch (twin in windowless room) but we only used the two King suites and that was perfect for us. The third bedroom is a twin room fit for a princess. Dave was always quick to respond to questions. We hope to stay here again next year.

Home Away From Renovation

We stayed in Dave's lovely home for 1 month while our own home was under renovation. Our college student joined us and the house was perfect for the 3 of us. The upstairs suite with king bed, laundry room, bathroom, and lounge area was perfect for the returning college student. The rest of the house was great, and our dogs loved the backyard. The location was perfect... every time we put in directions we were 2 miles from where we needed to be. And Dave was great!
