About this property

This property is located on 14 1/2 secluded acres of wooded land, overlooking Lake Burton. This cottage is newly renovated and newly furnished. It features a master bedroom, loft, a beautiful claw foot bathtub and a large screen porch with beautiful mountain and lake views. Only a five minute walk to Anchorage Boat Dock which is a full service marina. They have boat and jet ski rentals along with kayaks, stand up paddle boards. Downtown Clayton is only 7 miles, with a variety of shops and farm to table restaurants. Helen Ga is 25 miles and Highlands NC is 30 miles from this location. This area also offers hiking trails, waterfalls, state park, wineries, zip line, and boating. For added security we have a camera overlooking driveway.

Weekend getaway

We hadn’t been there for an hour and were already looking for dates to come back! I was concerned about the queen not being a king because my fiancé is so tall, but nope! We slept extremely well. The views are beautiful! The cookware is GREAT. No scratched up Teflon in this rental. The owners of the cabin are very accommodating, nice people. My only regret is not renting a boat to go on the lake, but we had to watch the UGA football game. Priorities! Also, the location is great! There’s a market at the end of the driveway and downtown is close enough to be convenient. I have no critiques!

Beautiful escape in the pristine no. Ga. forest---peaceful and relaxing.

This cabin is elegantly rustic....inside and out. The decor is charming and thoughtfully curated. It's located in the cool , quiet forest near the shores of Lake Burton, and close to the town of Clayton which has wonderful restaurants and shops. Lots to do, or just read and relax in the porch bed swing.

Seth and Nicole are residents of Clayton and owners of Anchorage Boat Dock. They have lived in Rabun county their whole lives. Summer time is their busy season but during the off season they enjoy all that the area has to offer. They have two children Emma, and Samuel.
