This cozy cabin was the perfect spot for our Valentines weekend! It had everything we needed and we were able to truly relax for a few days. The beds are comfy, the hot tub was clean and the location can’t be beat. It’s just a quick drive into town! We will definitely be back again!!

The place looks run down, not as handicap friendly as I had hoped it to be. Bedrooms have a step up or down which was a challenge for my husband who is handicapped.Host was very responsive, tried to resolve issues with hot tub. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

I’m sorry our place did not meet your expectations, but glad your stay was overall pleasant.
The published cabin description is thorough and accurate, as to age and condition.
It is also never stated that it is truly ADA compliant, and I stated that from the beginning.
Few places in the mountains are, but ours is better than most, with being one story and lacking multiple steps.
I did my best to answer questions you had regarding accessibility prior to your booking.
Also, included in instructions is that if you find any issues to please let me know asap so that we may resolve them during your stay.
Waiting until the afternoon before your check out during a 4 night stay over the holidays to inform me that the hot tub was not heating properly upon your arrival gave me little chance to correct this. I am very sorry for this inconvenience.
Overall I feel your 3 star review is unfair given the information provided prior to your booking and my attempts to remedy the hot tub issue at the last minute.
Still I wish you a happy new year and hope you find a more suitable place for your future travel plans.
Take care.
The cabin was beautiful and a wonderful place to get away for a weekend! We enjoyed the local hiking spots and the local eateries, in town. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away for a little while and enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains.

This was a cute cabin in a great location to spend some time in North Georgia! The cabin had everything you need, the hot tub was fun, and Julie was an incredible host. Great location off the highway and close to the lake too!
The cabin was conveniently located and had everything you could need for time outside the city. There was a fire pit with all the needed items to start a fire. The hot tub was easy to use. The kitchen had anything you could think of. The screened-in patio was truly a dream. We really enjoyed our stay at Julie's place.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. We most enjoyed the large screened in porch, which was perfect for nights spent hanging out, or during the day when the weather didn’t cooperate. Thanks again, Julie!

The location of this property is very good for visitors wanted to be close to Lake Burton and Clayton. The property was clean and the property manager was very helpful upon check-in.
I would recommend this property and would not hesitate staying here in the future.
Cute cabin to get away with friends or family. Had so much fun playing with the games they have in the cabin while enjoying a fire. Not a far drive from town where there is cute stores, good food and an adorable bar named Oldknow with delicious cocktails.

We enjoyed our stay lounging on the screened porch, hanging in the hot tub and playing games! The ambiance was prefect and has everything you may need! While we didn’t do anything in town this trip, it’s close to downtown and we were able to make it to Andy’s trout farm for our son to catch some fresh trout. Overalll great trip!

Yes was so sad for your planned friends weekend but also glad it worked out!
The owners were very thoughtful and very attentive to detail. It was great communicating with them before during and after. We could tell they take care of this with loving care. It was very private love the hot tub and shower outside. Very peaceful and even in the rain. We highly recommend it. Right across the street from the marina was very convenient.

About the host
Hosted by Julie
We live in Athens, GA, and have long enjoyed spending time in the North Georgia mountains. Before we bought the cabin, we frequently would drive up just for the day to enjoy the countless hikes and waterfalls in the area, not to mention the beautiful lakes of Burton, Seed, and Rabun.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is uniquely situated just across Hwy 76 from Anchorage Marina on beautiful Lake Burton, where you can enjoy a sweet treat from the cute gift shop, as well as take advantage of renting kayaks, paddleboats, speed and pontoon boats, jet skis and tubes from the full service marina. Also just a 1/2 mile down Charlie Mountain Road is the public beach of Lake Burton. Only 6 miles away is downtown Clayton, with an abundance of cute shops and restaurants. Clayton has become a real destination over the last few years, and is the perfect place from which to enjoy the mountains of North Georgia. Close to Black Rock Mountain State Park, Talullah Gorge, the Chattooga River, Dillard, and Sky Valley, Georgia.
What makes this property unique
Secluded street that backs up to National Forest and waterfall. Traffic from Hwy 76 can be heard but is never really "busy" as you would find in a city. Has been lovingly updated over last few years to include screen room and deck, HVAC, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Space for 2 cars to park easily.
