About the host
Hosted by Wills Virgo
Paul and myself Wills relocated to north Devon early this year, we moved from sunny Sussex to discover a new adventure in the west country, eventually we found, what we had been looking for! we took over the pack horse in August 2022, The Garner family who previously owned the Pack horse made a life change in 2000, moving from Oxfordshire to Exmoor to run this small holiday complex in this unique picturesque National trust village of Allerford, they worked extremely hard to turn the run down complex into what it is today, the Garner family passed the baton onto us and we continue to welcoming guests old and new to this very special part of Exmoor a real gem just of the beaten track but a little peace of England at its best.
Why they chose this property
Bridge view is just so unique, a first floor apt with views from every window!
The stunning oak panelled lounge has access to a small balcony overlooking the ancient Pack horse Bridge, the two other lead lighted windows give uninterrupted views of the river below and surrounding countryside, sit and read a book listening to the babbling river watch for the river wildlife to come by or simply relax in the comfortable sofas and re- charge your batteries in such a beautiful surroundings.
Enjoy the fab views and the sound of the river from the main bedroom you may not want to get out of bed!
Having one further king size it’s a perfect space for all the family and friends with its kitchen / diner allowing family holiday meals, however, the space is not over big making it a cosy comfortable apt for couples too.
