About this property

Secluded Log Cabin and Rushing Creek- Dogs Welcome

Book today to experience total relaxation on 10 acres with a "noisy creek" in the North Georgia mountains! Conveniently located in north Gilmer County, halfway between Ellijay and Blue Ridge.

You can hear the rushing creek from every room! Once you experience the secluded beauty of Beloved Creek, you'll never want to leave!

Relax on the wrap-around porch or in adirondack chairs down by the water. Explore the trails on site. The fire pit is a short walk down the steep drive. The soothing sound of the creek can be heard from every room in the house! Grill out and have dinner on the back deck!

Our cabin is a custom log home with 3 levels and porches galore. On the main floor, you'll find the living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom with en-suite, laundry room, and a separate half bath. There is another bedroom, shared bath, and a loft upstairs. The rooms are large and comfortable. The basement on the terrace level is not available for use. Please note that living areas are only accessible by stairs.

We have new king size beds in each bedroom and a futon in the loft. We have plenty of linens and pillows to keep you cozy, but feel free to bring your favorites. You can expect 2 towels, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth for each guest. We have blow dryers in both full bathrooms.

Gather around the stone fireplace. Cuddle up on the leather couch or in one of the cozy recliners. The cabin has 4 flat-screen TV's with DirecTV. The loft is a perfect place for the kids to play games and watch movies. We have WiFi!

The kitchen is fully equipped for most meals. Enjoy dishes, utensils, and glassware for at least 8. We have all appliances (Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, small crockpot, refrigerator, dishwasher, gas oven, and stove. There's a grill on the back deck). The grill is not available late September - November due to bears. Bring your food, drinks, and condiments. Don't forget your coffee pods!

We have contact-free check-in.

Enjoy the 9-mile winding ride from Downtown Ellijay through the mountains to Beloved Creek. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and waterfalls. Roads are all paved except about one mile of gravel that leads directly to the cabin. When you step out of your vehicle you will hear the rushing creek on all sides. Wait until you see the natural beauty!

We are on a private road with lots of seclusion.

Conveniently located between Ellijay and Blue Ridge without lacking peace and quiet.

Ellijay Getaway

House is spotless and decorated to make you feel at home. The owners are easy to communicate with before, after and even during the stay. The house is close to wineries and farmers markets and downtown. Short drive to waterfall hikes though you can hike the property.Excellent place to stay

Much needed getaway!

This was our second trip to Ellijay. The cabin was perfect for us. Close to both Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Beautiful scenery and lots of privacy. We are planning to bring our family next time.

Peaceful

The house is in a very serene and peaceful location. Hearing the creeks running constantly was so relaxing sitting on either the front or back porches. We didn't want to drive into town so we got our groceries instacarted from Krogers. Great place to stay!!

A river runs through it

The cabin sits on a small hill with a creek on both sides that meet at the bottom of the property, creating a flat area with trees, a fire pit, and his swing seat, a real, enchanting setting. The cabin is comfortable and has everything you need; it is very Solidly built . It’s the perfect place to find some solitude and peace. We would stay in this cabin again with no hesitation.

Absolutely Perfect

Everything my husband, and I were looking for. The owners have fully equipped the home with everything you need. The home and property was very clean and, absolutely beautiful! We used Waze as the owners suggested, and had no issues finding the house. Will absolutely rent this home again. Everything was perfection and couldn’t have had a more enjoyable stay!

Mountain Cabin

Overall an excellent property. Property cleanliness was below average. Had some power and WiFi outages. Supplies to handle outages (e.g., candles) were nonexistent. Needs some wildlife (e.g., bears) guidance. Owner was very responsive but lives in another State so on site support limited.

Wonderful!

I truly enjoyed my time at this cabin. It is so beautiful and secluded, not a neighbor in sight! The cabin itself was very clean and cozy. The master bedroom's mattress was super comfy! I slept like a baby! It has a beautiful wood burning fireplace (firewood not provided) but unfortunately it was still too warm to have a fire. Maybe next time! I loved the swing in front of the creek. It was so relaxing. I had everything I needed to make my stay perfect. Laura was great! She was quick to get back with me on any questions I had. I will definitely book this cabin again for future trips!

Host is amazing! Cabin is beautiful & VERY secluded.

If you want a place that is secluded... this is the place! You are surrounded by nature. This is a very beautiful log cabin with a rushing creek. We took a walk down to the creek and roasted marshmellows. Listening to the two girls laugh and play with the sound of the creek behind us was just what we needed. Absolultely beautiful and peaceful! Laura is an amazing host. She communicates quickly and is very accommodating. While making the reservations, there were some VRBO online hiccups. Laura was patient and helped get answers. I feel she went above and beyond. While staying at the cabin, my husband and I ran into an issue. He called Laura and she was so sweet and pleasant. Highly recommend this beautiful and secluded cabin! You will not be disappointed!!

Beloved Cabin

Everything was just as advertised. We had an issue with the DIRECTV. I contacted Laura, she was right on it. Directv came the next day, we lost one day of our vacation time waiting for the Directv appointment , Laura said she would compensate us for that, we asked to extend our stay one more day, and she said she would gladly to that. We waded the creek, sat on the porch, and it was very peaceful .We saw a black bear on Wednesday evening right next to the front porch landing. Unfortunately we didn’t see it again, although we did see foot prints. The road coming in is a little rough, but can be done in a car, we drive an SUV and had no problem. Thank you Laura for being a wonderful host.

COVID-19 Escape/Middle of March Family Trip

Our family visited Laura’s cabin during the initial outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, perfect timing to get away! I will try to provide a detailed overview as when I booked the cabin there were no reviews available. Owner: Laura promptly responded to all my questions and provided detailed directions to the cabin. The cabin is as she describes it, the photos are an accurate representation of the cabin/property, and as they are new owners of the cabin I can see the amount of upgrades they are working on. She responded within 10 minutes of every question I had while we were at the cabin, and offered support with a couple minor issues that we ran into on our trip. Cabin General: The location of the cabin is amazing, end of the road, secluded, on a 10 acre parcel. While the initial directions to the cabin may seem difficult, the drive was surprisingly easy. We were able to navigate back and forth from the cabin without the needed directions after the first round-trip to town. My phone has AT&T and Verizon dual sim, both were lost about halfway up from town, but the Sat Internet has a strong wifi signal in the cabin, and I was able to utilize the internet to handle a couple work issues without a problem. The cabin was clean and the owners supplied the necessities prior to our arrival. Cabin Kid Friendly: The cabin worked perfectly for my wife, myself, my 6 year old daughter, and our 4 year old son. Both kids stayed upstairs and one of our concerns were the kids and the stairs, but we were able to barricade the kids in place utilizing the random decorations in the cabin. We were able to cover the stone hearth with the pillows and push the coffee table out of the way in the living room providing the kids with an ample/safe inside play area. Outdoor Property: Again, the cabin property is really really awesome. There are some gotchas that I think should be made clear for anyone that has minor disabilities or limited movement capacity. The cabin is only accessed by stairs, both front and back. Also, the fire pit is located down the hill from the cabin by the creek, approximately a 30-40yard downhill walk. Then obviously, an uphill return. I walked up and down the hill about 25 times the first day and could feel the burn, but I count that as a positive. The kids and wife did not mind, and the amount of exploring and play area down there was well received! Recommendations: Ellijay (Abby’s/Wood Fired Pizza). Kid Hikes: Fall Branch Creek, Fort Mountain Park

Definitely secluded! About 15-20 minutes from civilization on bumpy dirt roads. Owner advised us not to rely on GPS, but the directions they provided did not contain distances - just street names. Checked in at night when the street signs were harder to spot which made the journey more stressful and the location harder to find. Cabin itself is great--as described on the site. Sound of the rushing creek is peaceful. Unfortunately our 5-night stay was cut short by a health-related emergency, and the owner was kind enough to offer a partial refund which we were very grateful for.

We had such a wonderful stay at this secluded cabin in the mountains of Ellijay! The setting was quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature—just what we were looking for. The cabin was very clean and well cared for, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were able to take the dogs on lots of walks along the beautiful stream running next to the cabin. I highly recommend this cabin for family fun with doggies!

Serenity

We really enjoyed our stay the sound of the creek rushing around is exactly what we wanted. Sat by the creek a lot and walked around the property. We also got to experience, baby birds around the porch in their nest being fed, and watching them fly away. Laura was a great post and is very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at this cabin multiple times and always look forward to the next trip. If you want peace and quiet, this is the cabin for you. Our Doberman loves playing in the creek on property and we all love walking the trail in behind the cabin. Roo Winery is right down the road and is dog friendly with amazing views. Laura is a great VRBO host and always addresses issue quickly. We can’t wait until our next stay!

Peaceful Place

I enjoyed this place Very clean and quiet. Plenty of space inside. 15 minutes from town but I recommend bringing groceries for food and drink. Great place for a dog but it doesn’t have an enclosed yard. There is a fire-pit near the stream. Bring a flashlight if you need to go outside at night. It is very dark. The sound of the creek is soothing. You can hear it in the house.

Wow!!!

This place is amazing! My husband and I have been coming to Ellijay annually for about 15 years or so and this was by far our favorite cabin! The location is perfect- secluded and beautiful! Our pups had the best time, running freely and playing in the creek. There is a trail behind the cabin that was safe and accessible enough for my elderly father to walk on (he uses a cane). Communication with the owner, Laura, was outstanding. She made sure we had everything we needed and was quick to respond to texts and calls. We will definitely be returning to this cabin in the future!

Relaxing getaway

Enjoyed our stay in this amazing cabin. Not one thing we can think of that should be changed. Definitely follow the written directions provided or you'll end up on a one way dirt road which wasn't an issue till we met a van coming from the opposite direction. All good and would definitely come back to this cabin

My husband, son, and 2 rescue pups cherish our time at the cabin in Ellijay. We have vacationed here for years. My husband's family is from Ellijay so the roots go deep. We are honored to have you as our guest.

Why they chose this property

If you're looking for seclusion and nature, look no further! We have gone weeks without even seeing a neighbor.

What makes this property unique

My favorite feature is the point where the two creeks meet. It's a treasure. My husband loves sitting on the porch for hours. We hike all around and the dogs go wild in the creek.

Premier Host

They consistently provide great experiences for their guests
