This country retreat offers relaxed indoor and outdoor living. The house offers three bedrooms in addition to a private Primary Suite. Two queen sleeper sofas provide additional sleep space. Three full baths and one half bath is a true convenience. A newly renovated kitchen sets the stage for easy food preparation. After a wonderful day enjoying the local area the gorgeous brick patio is ready for resting, dining and watching the stars! Light a fire in the firepit located on the patio. Enjoying a glass of wine with the warmth of the fire and friends is the perfect way to end a day!

One of my favorite VRBO’s we’ve ever stayed at. You can feel the family love in this house (and coming to stay with my extended fam for a family wedding, it fit the vibe check). Our group of 5 women couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Jake & Wilma’s. Without a doubt it is the best vacation rental any of us has experienced. The house is extremely clean, is exactly as pictured and they have thought of absolutely everything to make your stay comfortable. It is also centrally located to many vineyards and downtown Elkin.

This is a BEAUTIFUL property with everything you could possibly want or need for your stay! Everything was immaculately clean! The kitchen was more than fully equipped and easy to use. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms beautifully appointed! There are several sitting areas which made it easy to have multiple activities going on simultaneously. The hosts were the BEST! My name is Sharon and I grew up in this home. My parents, Jake and Wilma, loved this house. They also loved their family and friends. Jake and Wilma always enjoyed having folks stop by for a visit. It is my desire to honor them by creating a warm, comfortable experience for my guests.

Why they chose this property

The location of this property is perfect. There is easy and fast access to grocery stores, fast food and shops. This property is centrally located among most of the wineries in the Yadkin Valley. Mt. Airy is a quick drive up I-77. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 20 minute drive from the house. Stone Mountain is close by for hiking and enjoying nature.

What makes this property unique

This home is located in the center of 30+ acres of land. The house is surrounded by woods and a beautiful view of pastureland. Cows grazing and birds singing are a normal part of the day. Towards evening deer begin to come out of the woods and graze. At night the stars are extra bright because there are no competing city lights. Tranquility is the best word to describe this one of a kind setting.
