We booked as a friends vacation. The guys loved the disc golf course on site. The home was clean, spacious and felt comfortable. Everything we could've needed was supplied and Ken was able to answer all of my questions. The from Round Peak was also the best we had all trip! We would definitely book again.
We enjoyed this home as we celebrated my husband’s birthday.

As always, Round Peak was great. The facility was terrific and the staff in the winery were super friendly. Top that off with an amazing view and it was great!

Amazing stay again !!
It was our third stay , only 2 nights when we were going down to Florida !
Again it was perfect ! clean ! easy to deal with Ken !!
This is our place to relax after a long drive !!
We enjoyed our stay! Location was perfect and easy to find. We regret not visiting the winery/distillery during our stay as our schedule didn't allow us to do so. Watching the sun set over the vineyard was beautiful from the back porch. The house was very accommodating, fully furnished and made it easy for us to prepare our own meals. We will plan a another visit!
Clean, spacious and well stocked house. Really enjoyed using the screened porch. Winery grounds are beautiful. Ken responded promptly. Highly recommend.
Such a lovely home! The home itself was very clean and well stocked. Everything was in order when we got there and was ready for us. It's a short drive into Mt. Airy. The view from the back porch is wonderful. Those sunsets! We talk a walk each evening through the vineyard and it was so lovely. It was a wonderful stay, and we would be lucky to stay there again if we ever passed through. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful time in Mount Airy, NC and at this cabin. The views from the back porch were beautiful! The cabin was clean and quiet and fit our needs well! Thank you for the wine!!
The only suggestion we can make is to trim the trees around the front porch, they were overgrown when we were there and made it a little difficult getting our luggage up and down the front steps.
Property was slightly nicer than expected. We thought the place was beautiful.
Typically, these places have meager supplies although they boast of “everything you need”
This place was actually loaded with “the things you need”

Perfect getaway home!
Aside from the weather not cooperating (rain/drizzle/fog) ----- this was such a wonderful escape! Very clean and quiet! The house was fully equipped --- even shampoo/soap in the shower/bath! The towels were thick and plentiful. We didn't lack for anything!!
There were two couples, and the house was very private for us both.
The only negative comment I can make is that the heating vent in the upstairs queen bedroom blew the air on our heads while in bed. We closed the vent -- which made it loud. Also, I would personally bring my own pillow next time ..... because, we will be back!!!!

Great weekend place for our family
What a lovely place to stay! Very family and pet friendly with everything one needs for the weekend. The very comfortable layout with full kitchen includes a screened back porch with a fantastic view overlooking the vineyards and Blue Ridge mountains and was a favorite spot for breakfast and our dogs. Our 22 month old granddaughter loved frolicking barefooted and rolling around in the freshly mown green grass. We enjoyed watching the sunset while sitting on our blankets and sipping reds and whites purchased from the Round Peak tasting room. Emily was our friendly, gracious server and was very informative about the specific vineyard wines and the Yadkin Valley region in general. We also found the location to be incredibly convenient to major highways as well as to Mount Airy and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our daughter and son-in-law remarked that we should make Round Peak a new family tradition. Highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at Round Peak. It was a long girl's weekend and the house location was convenient to Mt. Airy, Pilot Mountain State Park, Hanging Rock State Park and right next door to the Vineyard! We walked the paths through the vineyard and enjoyed our complimentary bottle of wine! The house sleeps lots of folksEven though we only had 3 in our party we had plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen was well stocked and the screen porch was just perfect! What a much needed relaxing weekend we had! our y
My group and I absolutely loved staying in this house! Location was perfect; right on the winery. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. 10 out of 10 would stay here again!
This house was perfect for us in may ways. The views overlooking the winery were fantastic. The house was plenty big for our group and not far off the interstate. Very private and quiet. Would recommend this house to anyone.
Ken is an excellent communicator. The house was clean, organized, and well-stocked. The property itself is on a beautiful and large area of well-maintained winery. The winery was very cool with a really impressive selection of wine and beer. The local area is cool as well. We had a wonderful time and hope to back again!
The house is nice and open. The property is on the vineyard which is a great setting. The owner is friendly and make the stay enjoyable. I recommend this to everyone who wants a peaceful relaxing stay,
Location is perfect to view the vineyard and access the winery. House was loaded with the essentials, and the owners are quick to respond to questions. We all loved our stay and are planning a return trip to the area next year! The cabin was clean and ready for us at check-in. It has a master bedroom on the first floor for our mobility impaired family. The other 3 rooms were upstairs with a shared bathroom. Best of all, it was pet friendly so we didn't have to leave our fur-baby at home. Yay!
Beautiful, peaceful cabin overlooking the vineyards and gorgeous views of the mountains.
My husband and I, and our pup had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, peaceful cabin overlooking the vineyards and gorgeous views of the mountains. We stayed 2 nights/3 days. Host was wonderful (great communication and very understanding even after we arrived home and realized we had something of theirs in our possession.) Very clean, fully stocked kitchen, extra linens… anything you would need to cook for your loved ones and feel right at home! We loved that the cabin was secluded from the main road. We brought our trained, crate trained 22 month old chocolate lab with us (her first fall trip to the mountains) and she loved it here! Backyard was large enough for fetching. We enjoyed our walks around the vineyard. The vineyard also has a fenced in area for dogs, which was a huge plus! Furthermore, cabin was in perfect location for everything we wanted to do and see (Mt. Airy, Blue Ridge Pkwy, Pilot Mtn, and Hanging Rock.) Thank you so much Ken for accommodating us, in which we all had a very relaxing, fun-filled fall vacation! Also, thank you for the complimentary wine. It was a delicious treat after a long day of hiking and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. We just love how you named the wine after your three furbabies!

About the host
Hosted by Ken Gulaian
Hi everyone! We are Kari Heerdt and Ken Gulaian, and as the owners of Round Peak Vineyards, we'd like to introduce ourselves and our team. We met in Cincinnati in 1998 when we both worked for General Electric. We moved to Charlotte, NC in 2000 for a new job opportunity, loved it, and decided North Carolina was where we would stay. Careers got in the way though, and in 2006 we moved to San Francisco for Kari's work. This proved to be instrumental since it resulted in a lot of time spent enjoying wine in Napa, Sonoma, and especially the Dry Creek Valley. We particularly enjoyed the small family owned wineries. When we got the chance to return to North Carolina in 2008, again for Kari's work, we jumped at the chance. Ken had already decided it was time to give up the corporate world, and when we found out there was an opportunity to own a winery in North Carolina, we couldn't resist! After visiting, being impressed with the wines, and seeing the spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we decided to take the challenge.
Why they chose this property
The Vineyard House, and the adjacent Winery House, create a really unique rental opportunity, where you can stay right in the heart of wine country, relax and enjoy some fantastic views, hike around our 33 acres of vineyards and woods, and yet still get out and participate in the many activities in the region.
What makes this property unique
Next door is both a winery (Round Peak Vineyards) and a craft brewery (Skull Camp Brewing). Included in the rental is a tasting of either wine or beer for each adult renter (21 & over). With both Mount Airy (home of Mayberry) and Elkin (heart of wine country) close by, there is something for everyone to do!
