About the host
Hosted by Liz Pearce
We live in Devon on a small farm. We have three children and four grandchildren and all of us love Helford Passage. Seashells was purchased in 2015 - and 2016 will be the first year of holiday letting. My husband and I love taking long walks along the coast path - the children enjoy boating, rock pooling on the beach and swimming in the outdoor pool in the summer. In the evening we enjoy a glass of wine at the Ferryboat Inn overlooking the water and a lovely meal there if we want to eat out. Only a few metres to walk back afterwards!
Why they chose this property
We love Helford Passage and come here as often as we can. As soon as we arrive the first thing is to walk to the beach and enjoy a glass of wine at the Ferryboat. Next day it's on with the walking boots and set out on the coastal path which is on the doorstep - maybe take the ferry across to Helford village for more walking - or take out a boat and explore the creeks of Helford River.
What makes this property unique
Apart from being so close to the water there are so many things to do without getting in the car! The Helford River www.helford-river-boats.co.uk - the gardens, Glendurgan, (National Trust) and Trebah; the Ferryboat Inn; the golf course at Budock Vean; the South West coastal path on the doorstep. You can even have your groceries delivered! A short car journey to the beautiful Kynance Cove where the National Trust cafe serves delicious food - and a visit to the Minack Theatre for a memorable performance in the summer is a must.
