Beautiful house does have steps comfortable beds kitchen well equipped host was available if needed anything recommended for active families we had fun
The Hist was really Wonderful! It rained most of our stay and he even offered a free day. The home was very nice and met all our needs. We are Senior citizens so 20 steps were too much to rent
We had a great stay here. The owner was very responsible. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds slept great. We didn't mind the steep stairs to front door but our 76 year old mother had to take them slow. Great place overall!
We stayed in Big Canoe for a few days and decided to try VRBO. It did not disappoint! The house was clean, spacious, and fully stocked. The owner was helpful in answering all of our questions and offering suggestions. We would stay here again.
This cabin was great, the area was gorgeous and we came for a little cold weather. Unfortunately car engine died, it was Christmas Eve and it was 3 days stuck in the very remote spot up an almost vertical road,. Our host was super helpful, we were able to finally secure a rental car a day all ended well.
We enjoyed a girls weekend at this house. Big Canoe is nice (although roads are winding in the neighborhood) and we enjoyed the area attractions. Communication with owner was GREAT!
We loved the hiking trails in the community. It was close to Amicalola Falls, Jasper, & Dahlonega. Quiet place. Host was informative, and we loved the place.
Kenny was extremely helpful and communicative! Felt like I could reach out at any time and he would get back to us. Very proactive in giving us tips and explaining the property! Thanks, Kenny! We hope we can come back and stay longer!
We had a great time. It was out first time in the mountains and we are already talking about our next trip there! Kenny was great, told us the secret to catching rainbow trout! Big Canoe and Kenny will definitely be seeing us again!
The home had everything we needed and more!
My four grandchildren and I had a wonderful vacation. The property was perfect in every way. Kenneth was available and receptive to any questions I had. Would love to return again before the fall.
This was one of the most pleasant experiences we have had with a VRBO rental. My husband and I just came back from a quick Valentines Day getaway. The owner, Kenny Pyle, was amazing. He was available by phone for anything you needed and gave great suggestions for things to do in the area. The cabin is very nice, clean and well equipped. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a pleasant experience and a wonderful getaway!
We enjoyed our stay so much. Everything we did was close to us.It was so peaceful and so clean. I loved how I was kept up to date. Our manager, he was very helpful and we appreciated him. Thank you again it was a great stay . We didn’t get to see Emma (the bear😀) but maybe next time…
This place is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. Loved that it was in a gated community so you feel very safe. If you love and woodsy vibe but still upscale this is perfect!!! The owner is absolutely amazi ng!!! I wish we can give 10 stars instead of 5 because this place is well worth it!!! Thank you for the wonderful experience Kenny, you are the best!!
My husband and I loved so many things about this rental, the least of which was the perfect accommodations. What put this experience above all else was the outstanding host who couldn’t have been more communicative, caring and accommodating.
Exactly what we needed for a long weekend! It had everything we needed. Beds and couches were comfy. Everything was clean and well-stocked. Very quiet area and fun to explore the forest surrounding the house. Driveways around Big Canoe are steep, our rental car couldn’t quite make it up the driveway to the house so we just parked it near the bottom. A cozy home in the woods that we enjoyed! Kenny is also great at communicating!

House in the skyline
It was a unique experience living in location so high in the mountain range for 29 days. With information on hand and additional recommendations from the host Kenny, we were able to visit Halen during Octoberfast, Blue Ridge and Gibbs Gardens on beatiful sunny days. We also enjoyed visits from deer and wild turkey. What we find challenging is driving on steep mountain roads and particularly parking on the lot in front of the house. Kenny was easy to communicate with and he is a nice person with a warm personality. We enjoyed meaningful phone conversations on several occasions.
Enjoyed this property very much! Off the back deck there were daily sitings of deer, and from time to time turkeys and an occasional black bear. The surrounding property is tucked away in their own natural habitat. There is something magical about driving on curvy-mountainous roads on your way to this property. Keeping an eye open for deer is a must. The home has wide pine floors which adds to the warmth of the decor. Fully stocked with necessary essentials eases you into relaxing and enjoying from the start. We had a family reunion at Big Canoe and were more than pleased with the many family activities and amenities available there. My family all agreed to give our property, and our owners support a five star thumbs up!

Love the place and since I am seldom there I have enjoyed sharing it with others and 50% come back every year. It is on 8,000 acres and not enough time to really see everything when you visit for only 2 days. Plus you get to meet others from around the world. Its been fun.
Why they chose this property
I chose Big Canoe because it is sooooooooooooooooo guite. . Great place to unwind. Along with that it has four seasons. Fireplaces in the winter, great hiking weather in the spring, summer lake fun and changing of the leaves in the fall. Beautiful 8,000 acres of nature with fun for the kids to see the deer, wild turkeys, fishing the lake. Nothing like a child catching their 1st fish. Plus rainbow trout are delicious on your kitchen plate. Mmmmm.
What makes this property unique
Of course its clean and has all the amenities but what makes it stand out is the way I have worked with guest in the past and their needs. I am can adjust things for them if needed. I have even gone up one time and showed their kids the secret of fishing the lake and they each caught 2-3 rainbow trout. To see their excitement was worth the hr. drive up there to show them the secrets. After that they caught them on their own. Its the little things you do for the guest because you want them to have a memorable time.
