The house was in a great location, the golf cart was new and awesome to ride around in, and the house had everything we needed! The beds were also very comfortable. House was close to beach and had everything you would need for a great beach day.
Great property. Well appointed amenities and just great overall design aesthetic. Very clean with everything and more one could need.
Bald Head is a great place to shut it down and go offline.
The location was easy to the Shoals club and beach access. Neighborhood was charming and a great place for littles to ride bikes. The house was clean, beds were super comfortable and appliances were stocked. Thanks for a wonderful trip!
Very nicely decorated clean property in a small neighborhood on BHI. Close to Shoals. If traveling with grandparents or another couple the room above garage is awesome.
Outstanding property with the perfect access to island amenities. We took our boat and ran into some mechanical issue however the owners worked with us to accommodate. Highly Recommend this beautiful home !!!

So glad you enjoyed our home and the island! We look forward to your next visit :)
We have been to BHI many times and we loved staying here. The home is so nicely decorated, well kept, and the owners had left so many lovely little extras for use by the guests, which is extra appreciated on BHI. It is clear that they take pride in the space and want it to be special for their guests. This is also a perfect location for access to the Shoals club, East beach, the market and the conservancy. We would definitely recommend this house!
We enjoyed our stay at Catch 22! The location is great to walk out to the marsh and see a beautiful sunset, or bike through the forest, easily get to East beach, Shoals Club or the market. We didn’t want to leave. The beds are super comfortable too! Everything was as described. Loved it.
Stayed for a week with 3 teens and two grandparents. Kids loved fishing off the dock, riding bikes, surfing at East Beach. Close to East Beach, Mike’s Bites, and Shoals Club. Had everything we needed to make full meals for 7 and games galore. Communication was terrific. Highly recommend.
LOVE this home! The pictures don't do it justice...home is rare in that it's nicer inside than pictures even portray. Location is fantastic - literally across from the dock to the marsh and a five min cart/bike ride to East Beach. This was our first time in KL and we'd rent this home again in a heart beat. Owners we're super responsive and accommodating. We will be back!
We could not be happier with the house and our vacation! The house was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated; it was perfect for our family (2 adults and 3 young adult children). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals. The beds are extremely comfortable and because it’s important to me, the water pressure and showers were fantastic! The location was perfect, it felt secluded as we enjoyed the evenings outside sitting around the table and playing games; yet only a quick ride to the beach and Shoals club. The owners were fantastic and extremely responsive. We are super thankful for such an amazing vacation!
This home was so beautifully decorated, and has everything you would need to enjoy all that BHI has to offer. Very close to Shoals Club, East Beach, and short drive to the Market. The beds are so comfortable, and our teenage son loved having his own place above the garage. The golf cart was so fun. I could not recommend staying here more. The owners were very agreeable and easy to communicate with. A tip I wouldn't have thought of for a beach vacation, bring bug spray, the mosquitos don't play. BHI is truly a hidden gem. You won't regret a week in this paradise.
We would 100% rent this property again in the future. The host was very responsive when we had questions and made sure to follow up throughout the process leading up to our stay. The house is clean and spacious. It is also situated directly across from the community dock that goes out into the marsh. The cart is very nice and even allows you to hook up your phone to the speaker system. The bikes are in great shape also. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. Bonus points for having a BHI Monopoly game set, even though we didn’t use it as the weather was perfect and we spent all of our time on the beach, at the Shoals Club, or fishing. Also, the ice maker produces tons of ice for use in your coolers going to the beach. This house does all of the little things right and they add up to make the overall experience wonderful.
The home was truly home away from home; cozy, clean, and charming with functional style (baskets in every room that can hold shoes as you enter, laundry in the bedrooms, blankets by the couches). Every potential need was imagined and delivered, including a FULLY stocked kitchen along with condiments, reusable shopping bags for trips out, plenty of beach gear, and games and a gorgeous new puzzle for a rainy day. We felt right at home and enjoyed the relaxing vibe of the neighborhood, lazy afternoons on the CLEAN screened porch, and walking the dock across the street in the evenings. The owners are extremely responsive as needed, although there were no needs during our stay as everything functioned well and comfortably. The home fit our family perfectly and we can’t wait to return!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this amazing review! We have put much thought into the functionality of the home and are glad you appreciated those amenities. We are so pleased that your stay was as enjoyable as you imagined. You have been wonderful guests and we welcome you to return sooner than later! Cheers!
Another great time at Catch 22!! It will be hard to ever want to stay anywhere else we love this home so much! It fits our family perfectly. We love the quiet location close to our favorite beach access. The trail walk to the dock is a favorite activity for us and our two young kids. Sunsets on the neighborhood dock are beautiful. The house is always very clean and everything we need is provided. The NEW GOLF CART is amazing!! It is fast so it takes a little getting used to but we throughly enjoyed it. The only thing I would love to see updated in the future is the mattresses, it may just be personal preference but all five adults agreed they are much too soft. I am looking forward to our next visit!
We made it through Hurricane Ian while staying here. The home is certainly well constructed as we didn’t really hear much. It had everything we needed to enjoy home cooked meals. Robert and Annette are great to deal with as well. Thank you!
We’ve stayed all over the island the past 10 years, with this being the first in Keeper’s Landing. Overall this house was great. It’s super convenient to the shoals club, east beach, Mike’s. The most comfortable beds and pillows yet, as well as really nice furniture throughout. TVs we’re in each room and the crofter with access to all the streaming services you are used to. The bathrooms were updated nicely and the kitchen had everything we needed for the week. The bikes(4) were a great addition, we rode them often, but there is one that probably could use an update. Communication with the homeowner was never an issue. The marsh overlook boardwalk was the absolute winner on this location. It is literally right across the street. Sunrises and sunsets were enjoyed everyday of our stay, but I kept wondering why more people weren’t out there? It was the most magical part of my morning. Crabbing is also convenient from this area, however I couldn’t muster up enough courage to actually cook them. I think the only downside to this house was the fact there is no view. I like to be able to see a little more than the road or the neighbor’s house, but I DID know this going into my stay. This house checks all the boxes I’d want in a house except that. So if you’re looking for a view from the house itself, this house doesn’t have it. But it does have a screened porch which was nice when it down-poured on our last day. So that was pretty relaxing to listen to while we read on the outdoor couch. I should also add that the location is off of the main roads of the island where a lot of traffic tends to occur. Keepers landing was very quiet and secluded and my friends mentioned they would feel pretty comfortable with their younger kids playing outside. Our preteen girls took the bikes and grabbed lunch at Mike’s Bites and went to shop a few times at the conservancy… And we saw several kids playing in the rain and having a grand time!

About the host

Our love for the beach sent us on a search and journey to find the perfect one in 1996 when we moved to North Carolina. It didn't take long or very much research to fall in love with Bald Head Island! The whole experience is like no place else we have ever been. The lifestyle is slow, the opportunity for family quality time, the beach life and and the focus on nature and environmental preservation is what makes it so special.
2020 is finally our year! We recently purchased the home and are having so much fun adding our personal touches to what is already a perfect beach cottage. Our 3 children (now adults) couldn't be more thrilled that we finally have our own piece of this wonderful island!
