Nestled in the hill country by a 7000 acre preserve 30 minutes from Austin, Casa Mora, home for all seasons, is a tastefully decorated 3-bedroom 2 bath stone home on 2.5 acres with a secluded private pool and game room.

A perfect base to explore the energy of Austin and the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country with lakes, charming town squares, vineyards, breweries and distilleries. Or sit on the front porch or the secluded back deck with your complementary glass of wine and nature watch at your home away from home.

Casa Mora features an open floor plan: gourmet kitchen; warmly decorated living room with electric fireplace and French doors that open to outdoor patio, BBQ, eating area, outdoor fire pit, pool and expansive grounds; romantic master bedroom (queen) with electric fireplace, bath with claw foot tub and shower separated from guest bedroom (double) and office/guest (trundle with two twins). Hall bath serves both rooms.

We continually make improvements to the property: new leather couches and electric fireplace in living room; new bedding, linen and comforters in all bedrooms; electric fireplace in master bedroom; new trundle bed and desk in guest room/office; new dishes and glassware in kitchen; mosaic table imported from Morocco in outdoor dining area; newly painted porch and steps.

The quiet is exquisite. Birds and wildlife abound. The neighborhood is secure- there's only one road in and out with only occasional car traffic. Jester King Brewery and Pizza and Beerburg Brewery/restaurant are about one mile away. Many wineries, distilleries, restaurants and Texas Olive Oil Company and town of Dripping Springs are nearby.

Quiet spot close to the city

This is our second stay and it was just as wonderful! The pool is perfect and the backyard is so quiet. It’s only 10 minutes to several food choices, and 20-30 minutes into Austin for other things to do.

My husband, myself & 2 teen daughters enjoyed our stay. The house was so cozy & quaint. We all enjoyed sitting & relaxing near the pool. Saw all kids of birds. Very private. Close to the wedding venue, wineries, restaurants & my sister’s home. Place was furnished beautifully. We loved our stay!

Anniversary Trip

This is our 6th stay at Casa Mora. We always enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and enjoy spending time in the pool. Morrie and Rachel are great hosts and always respond to any needs quickly. We intend to keep making this our destination for our anniversary trip and are already looking forward to next year!

House was great for my wife and I. We cooked inside and out, enjoyed the pool and the shade. Home very nice and in good shape. Deer walked right by front door. Many adventures, there is quite some distance between things - but worth it

Peaceful Haven

This was a great place to relax after the hustle and bustle of our city excursions. The view outside was beautiful and the pool was a wonderful place to cool down from the heat of the day. Everyone was plenty comfortable and the house had just what we needed. The owners worked very hard to accommodate us and we appreciate them greatly. All in all, it was a wonderful vacation for us all.

Quiet getaway

House is rustic and inviting, has everything you need including wifi and tons of cable options, wildlife galore and a sparkling clean cool shaded pool that I wanted to drag back home. Everything is within 15miles, right off 290 East. Very relaxing. Will 100% return.

Summer River Trip

This was our first time to this gorgeous home. The house is easy to find, close to an HEB as well as other local breweries and wineries. We were 50 minutes from our float place of choice. The house has great character, and was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The pool in the backyard is fabulous, just bring some non glass cups for poolside. There is also a game room, which we didn't find time to explore! The host was very responsive when we reached out, and we already look forward to returning next year!

Amazing pool

Our kids swam every minute they could. Even in the middle of the day we had some dappled shade near the pool. It is really out in the woods! We saw rabbits, deer and coyotes every day near the house. We were a large group and had a great time. We squeezed seven into the house. There are proper beds for four people. The house could use some new mattresses and linens, but was overall very comfortable.

Casa Mora

The property is a beautiful stone home, which is nicely finished. It is well stocked with all the things a kitchen needs. The rooms are nicely decorated & spacious enough. We were in Texas for a wedding. The master bath with double sinks, big mirror & separate shower space was a life saver. Getting 4 ladies ready is an hours long ordeal. We chose Casa Mora due to its location to the wedding venue. Our house became a mini staging point for guests to the wedding. Everyone loved the house! The pool in back is VERY nice. It was a cool reprieve from the oppressive heat. My older daughter & infant grandson enjoyed the pool after overheating at the rehearsal. It’s an awesome amenity. It is beautiful too. It has sitting shelves for swimmers at the deep end & the shallow end. My kids loved that. They perched there & chatted. They’re tweenagers, so getting approval for them is a chore. Casa Mora got approval from all members of the family. We come from an area where it only reaches the 80s a few times a summer, has abundant water- ponds, rivers, streams & lakes. It’s lush & green. West Texas is 180 degrees opposite. It’s “interesting” looking. As a fun diversion, I made humming bird nectar & filled the feeder. We ALL sat in the front window throughout our stay, watching 5 humming birds joust to reach the nectar. It was fascinating seeing them perch & drink. It must have been a lifesaver in the 100+ degree temps. Water & food in a dry season.

The home is cozy but required some maintenance (i.e. leaky water valve behind refrigerator that left puddles in the kitchen two of the three days we were there, broken pool skimmer, plaster coming off of pool, obvious wear and tear of property). Unfortunately, we had a rough start to our stay with an incorrect code for the front door, a large puddle of water in the kitchen floor, an unkempt house (cleaning team had not showed up before our stay-we did not show up until after 4:30 on check in day), no linens on the beds (I found extra sheets and made up our own bed, washed the comforter for our bed, and waited on the cleaning team to manage the other bedrooms), no towels in the bathrooms (the towels were in the washing machine so I washed our own towels), and dirt/crumbs all over the home. We reached out to the owners, who were very nice and responsive-they provided timely responses with any inquiries before and during our stay. They had the cleaning team come out that evening to clean the home and set up the bathrooms/bedrooms for us, which was nice, but it had been a long, exhausting day for us and all we wanted to do was relax when we arrived at the home. The house itself is somewhat secluded but close enough to shopping/dining/entertainment. The house is small but was perfect for two families getting together over a weekend. While we appreciated the responsiveness of the owners, our overall stay was disappointing.

Great location

We have enjoyed each of our summer stays at casa mora. The location is great just outside of Austin, quiet, peaceful and close enough for an easy drive into town. The pool is a plus for the hot summer days.

Casa mora was great

Nice relaxing 3 days with our daughter and her two kids. The house is comfortable and has everything we needed. Didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Area is quiet and stores and services were about 10-15 mins from the house. We would stay in this place again
