We are just 20 minutes away from world class skiing and snowboarding at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar or Sugar Bowl, and a short drive to downtown Truckee. When you stay with us, you get access to all Tahoe Donner recreational amenities.
Please note, this home is ideal for 6 adults or a family with children. Also, no parties or loud groups. Please respect quiet hour from 9pm-8am.
Cabin Azul is a multi-level, newly updated, cozy and stylish 3 bedroom/2 bathroom home. We have a 2 car garage with direct access to the house.
On the main level, the great room has vaulted ceilings, a sunny kitchen and living/dining area which opens up onto our private deck. The secluded and flat backyard with towering pines is a perfect place to relax on the deck, watch the children play, or simply beat the heat in summer or enjoy the magic of snow.
The wooded great room is warmed by a gas stove (or our central heating). It also features a flat screen TV with a Roku Player with Hulu Plus and Netflix on Demand so you can enjoy your favorite shows and movies. The house has wireless internet.
The master bedroom on the top level has a large king bed, an en suite bathroom, and views of the private backyard. The queen bedroom, located on the main floor, has a queen bedroom and a shared bathroom. The third room, also on the main level, has a comfortable bunk bed, perfect for kids, and even adults!
OCCUPANCY NOTE: The maximum number of adults (with no kids) we can allow is 6.
TAHOE DONNER AMENITIES
You will be provided guest passes that permit access and discount pricing at numerous Tahoe Donner recreational amenities such as the Trout Creek Recreation Center, Snow Play Area (has sledding), and Tahoe Donner Ski Area (ideal for beginners/families with kids). Tahoe Donner boasts a premier Nordic center with 70 km of trails, excellent for both beginner and advanced cross country skiers. Five minutes away, The Trout Creek Recreation Center has an exercise facility with state of the art exercise equipment, fitness classes, an adult lap pool that is heated to 82 degrees year-round, saunas, and massage treatments.
In the non-winter months, the Tahoe Donner amenities include a private beach on the east side of Donner Lake, where you can enjoy a BBQ, swimming, boat/kayak rentals and the use of the private boat launch. Crawdad fishing is a favorite of the kids in the marina. There are three swimming pools, tennis courts and bocce ball courts. Also biking trails, hiking, campgrounds and a world-class 18 hole golf course. Oh yes, there is also an equestrian center with pony rides for kids. Tahoe City and Kings Beach are less than 15 miles away.
31+ NIGHT STAY REQUIREMENTS:
- Guest shall maintain a full-time residence elsewhere in the United States during their stay.
- Guest pays all utilities that exceed $300/31 nights (which includes high speed internet, garbage, water, electricity, natural gas). Amount will be requested monthly.
- For stays during the winter months (December - March), guest will pay $200/31 nights for prorated share of snow plowing services for the driveway. Amount will be requested 1 week prior to your arrival.
- Guest will handle all coordination and payment for any snow shoveling services during their stay (Tahoe Cohost Collective can provide vendor recommendations if needed).
- Deep cleaning fee (to be done after end of stay) of $350 is included in booking.
Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control.
