Welcome to the Sarah E Krenson house built in 1873, a named house on Savannah's historical register, on beautiful sought after Jones St. Located in the downtown historic district, take a step back into a time seeped in Southern history along cobblestone streets with ancient live oak trees draped in Spanish moss.
The house abounds in original details of the period and has also been lovingly updated with modern amenities, the best of both worlds! The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need to create a large family feast. The adjacent dining room seats 8 and can easily be arranged to seat more. The first floor also has a formal living area, half bathroom and a sitting area in the kitchen, plenty of room to spread out. A lovely private courtyard is right off the kitchen area, with a fountain and seating for 10. The perfect spot for morning coffee before heading out for a stroll through all Savannah has to offer and a place to return to and relax for an evening glass of wine.
The second and third floors consist of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms each. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and 2 are en suites, a unique feature not often found in large historic homes.

This location has been captured in many wonderful movies such as Disney's "Lady and the Tramp", "Glory" and the iconic "In the Garden of Good and Evil".
With 3000 square feet of living space, Jones street on the top 10 list from USA Today's "Prettiest streets in America" , you can make a memorable experience with friends and family at the Sarah Elizabeth House on Jones.

The Sarah Elizabeth house on Jones, with a private entrance and a private courtyard, will supply plenty of comfortable exclusive space for everyone in your group. Savannah is a walking city, with lovely squares and parks for you to enjoy safe walks and the beautiful scenery. Take an evening stroll with your adult beverage and enjoy the views. This location allows you to easily walk to all the fun things to do in Savannah such as Plant Riverside, River Street, restaurants and shopping. Or if the beach is on your agenda, Tybee is just a 30 minute drive.

Parking is readily available in front of the house on Jones Street. It is metered, but free nights and weekends as well as holidays. There is a very small parking spot within the rear courtyard suitable for a compact vehicle.

Fabulous place to stay for celebrating our 70th birthdays and long time friendship. The house is very well appointed and spacious. Love the courtyard out back for morning coffee. Communication with the host was very prompt. Location was great for walking to restaurants and downtown area. Such a beautiful street to walk down too. We felt very safe walking around of an evening.

We came to Savannah to celebrate my Mom’s 80th Birthday. There were 4 of us, all first time visitors to Savannah. Beth and Tim were awesome to work with. They gave us some great recommendations of places to go and things to see. They also gave us early access to the house since it was available. The house is historic and beautiful! We loved everything about it and enjoyed the back porch in the evenings. Great location to walk everywhere. I highly recommend the hop on hop off trolly and definitely eat at The Old Pink House!

I generally found the stay to be acceptable, but some guests had qualms with the upkeep of the property: they noted a stain or some kind of grime in the refrigerator, an issue with the drain in one (maybe more than one) of the showers, and an “old” smell in the house. I think these are minor, did not have an issue with my shower, and while I did notice the stain in the refrigerator, I don’t really think it’s a big deal. One sort of non-issue: I do get slightly “haunted” vibes from the decor, but I imagine that’s probably just the “Sarah Elizabeth” namesake of the house.Otherwise, the house was great; the surrounding area was very nice; and the hosts were communicative and easy-to-work-with.

I cannot express enough of how perfect a location. This was we rented a car and didn’t even use it. We walked everywhere and it was so easy even with a two-year-old. We fell in love with Savannah many years ago, and it has come to be our very favorite place, so friendly with lots of southern hospitality. The architecture, lovely live oak trees and the eclectic personality of the city are like no other place, just simply magical.
