This is a lovely villa within a short walk to the centre of Begur. Fully fenced with electric gates it is a very private location. This villa has been completely renovated recently so is very comfortable and bright. The house has four double bedrooms with brand new very comfortable beds. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom. The living space is open plan with sitting/dining room and kitchen opening to a terrace with dining tables and BBQ. This terrace has a lockable gate to prevent little people accessing the pool terrace without adult supervision. On the mezzanine level there is a comfy seating area under an ancient cork tree. The pool terrace is surrounded by lovely landscaped gardens with mature plants offering privacy from the neighbours. The pool is in full sun all day long. It measures 8 m x 4 m with lots of space surrounding it for sun loungers etc., There is off street parking behind electric gates for two cars.
The villa gets the sun all day long and is an ideal holiday location as a base for so many activities nearby.
In the evening it is a lovely walk into the centre of Begur where there are lots of bars and restaurants together with small chic boutiques and artisan shops.

Great home!

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. The swimming pool is great! Everything was perfect, except the barbecue that was not functionning. Not funny in summer when you are eight people! But, we certainly would recommand this house!

A lovely villa and a fantastic holiday

We stayed at the villa in August 2018 and had a fabulous holiday. We are two families - four adults and three children - and the villa suited us very well. The outdoor space is fantastic and with very hot weather, we spent most of our time outdoors. The pool was exceptionally clean and of a very good size to swim and for the children to play. There were eight sun loungers, a large parasol and sun from early morning to evening. A second patio has a lovely L-shaped settee and coffee table which was shady early on, sunny from mid morning and perfect for relaxing. The gas-fired bbq was also here and well used during our stay. And adjacent to the kitchen door was a large terrace with two tables. Inside the villa is quite spacious, four double/twin rooms and spotlessly clean. The showers worked well and there was always hot water. There is no air conditioning but fans are provided. The residential area is lovely and quiet. We were met on arrival by David of Costa Brava Connections who helpfully recommended beaches, supermarkets, things to do, restaurants etc Away from the villa were some great beaches and coves - our favourite was Sa Riera and are only a short drive away. There are paddle boards, kayaks and pedelos available, and at Pals beach there is a 'wipe out'-style inflatable - but all were unspoilt and the water was clean. Girona is about 50 mins drive away and we enjoyed a day's visit. Pals is quite a busy, touristy village but Peratellada was beautiful (quiet mid afternoon). There are lots of supermarkets a few miles away but we used the Spa in Begur - about 2 mins drive from the villa with parking. We ate in Begur several times and the centre of the village is about 15 minutes walk from the villa. On a quiet street off the main square, we enjoyed food at L'Authentic. Very little English spoken and good food, in a laid back place. We also ate at a pizza/pool place just 5 mins walk from the villa - very low key run by an italian family serving fantastic pizzas. All in all, a great villa in a good location for the local area, and to explore a little further afield.

Heerlijke week in prachtig huis

De woning is zoals geadverteerd, keurig netjes, lekker ruim en goed voorzien van alles wat je maar nodig hebt. De tuin is heel praktisch en ligt de hele dag in de zon. De buurt is rustig, en ligt vlak bij prachtige baaitjes en op loop afstand van het centrum van Begur. Enige minpuntje is de langzame WiFi.

Lovely house with fantastic outside space

We have just had a wonderful week's holiday in Begur and this property really helped to make it a special stay. The house is clean and spacious and well laid out with 4 bedrooms, one of which is en suite. It has a great sized kitchen which leads directly out onto the fantastic outdoor space set on three levels (including BBQ). The photos you can see listed with this property do not reflect just how lovely the outside space is. Although we like to eat out regularly when away, the lure of the beautiful outside space was such that we spent a good few nights at the house barbecuing some of the fresh produce on offer from the local supermarket. In addition, the outdoor pool is a great size, immaculately clean, and is a beautiful sunny spot from early morning to late afternoon which suited our teenagers! The house itself has a great location, situated in a quiet, wooded road just a brisk 15 minute walk into the centre of Begur, which is a beautiful town with narrow streets, boutiques and some great restaurants. In addition, the house has secure, gated off-road parking. We had cars for the week so that we could explore this beautiful area with two elderly relatives, but if you are keen walkers there are good paths everywhere to the beautiful coves and beaches (but there are steep climbs and descents so beware!). In the car, however, just about all the beaches were no more than 10 minutes drive. The beaches are pretty special surrounded by green hills and are worth the drive. We tended to visit a different beach each morning, but then returned to the house for a lazy lunch and a lounge around the pool in the afternoon. A special mention must go to Phil and Dave from thr company that manages the property. Their service was top notch from beginning to end. They really made life easy, were extremely helpful in every aspect of our holiday and we appreciated the advice and recommendations that they gave us. We would without doubt return to this special spot of the Costa brava.

Lovely villa a quiet area walk into centre

We booked this villa at the last minute and were told the owners had just finished renovating. Having stayed for the past three years in this area, in another typical Catalan house we feel they have done a great job. Everything seemed to have been thought out very well. It was extremely comfortable with lots of outside space and a lovely dining terrace looking over the pool to the countryside. It is in a quiet location with lovely views over the forest. The booking, arrival, key hand over and departure could not have been easier. The people who manage the villa are great and it was a breeze from start to finish. The house was spotlessly clean, the garden and pool well maintained. We walked to nearby tennis courts most mornings and lazed by the pool in the afternoons. Supper was either a BBQ or we walked into Begur centre to one of the many great restaurants (spoilt for choice). Overall this was a great choice for our family. It is a child friendly villa with a high fence that makes it very private. The beds are all a decent size (unusual in Spanish rentals as we have found on previous occasions). There is everything you could want in the house in terms of preparing meals for the family. We would gladly recommend it as a great choice for anybody wanting a quiet, relaxing location within walking distance of the night life that Begur offers in its own very special way. We have already booked our return trip for this summer and can't wait!

We have been living in Begur for many years having made the move here from Ireland after years of renting holiday villas in the area. Having fallen in love with the area we are more than happy to share our 'insider knowledge' with the guests who stay.
We meet and greet each group of guests. There is a guide book in the house with suggested restaurants, places to see and things to do. Some people love this villa so much all they want to do is stay and do nothing.

What makes this property unique

They love to walk, play tennis and swim so this location ticks all the boxes for them with local tennis courts just down the road and the forest just across the road from the house. It is just over 3km to the beaches depending which beach you choose.
