About this property

Newly Renovated Home away from Home...Sandcastle Beach #43

Brand new renovation including new bathroom tubs/showers, new counter tops, new decks throughout all 3 decks on the property. This property is a great space for one, two or three families with children. Sandcastle Townhomes is the closest complex to the public parking lot and boat launch and don't forget its also a quick walk to the public beach and pier. We are also the closest complex to Juana Pagodas.
This home is 3 stories including the ground floor which is used for up to two car covered parking. The second floor is the entertainment space with living room, dining room, open kitchen, half bath and two decks. The third floor is the sleeping quarters with a master bedroom and a guest bedroom both with full baths. There are a variety of beach toys for to use including: two bikes, ice chest, boogie boards, umbrella & various sandcastle toys. This home is kid and pet friendly. We have a hammock and hammock chairs set up for you to relax or even fall asleep in. We also have a Ring and hook game as well as a dart board.
There is a maximum of 2 cars allowed under the carport. There are two public parking spaces on the way to the dock area that are first come first serve. There is also a public parking lot located directly next to our property/within walking distance. This is a rule we cannot bend as your car might get towed or ticketed as has been done in the past.

The complex is great! It was low key and so close to everything. The pool was very nice. Also very nice people in the community, just felt like you were one of the locals.

Perfect condo!

This condo was huge! Plenty of space for different families. Each bedroom upstairs has its own bathroom. Loved having beach chairs, toys, bikes, Etc to use. Pool was awesome! People around were very nice and it’s a close walk to restaurants, pier and beach! Would 100% stay again.

Perfect place to stay with the grandsons. They enjoyed fishing on the dock at night and early morning. Bunk beds were great! Plenty of room for 4 adults and the two grandsons. Kitchen extremely well stocked with all pots, pans, dishes and serving pieces. Nice patio area for grilling and relaxing. Two sets of steep stairs were a bit much getting the luggage inside but overall an awesome place!

Great condo, great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. We love the dock. Our boys are big fisherman and although they did not have too much luck this week, they did catch some and had fun. We love how close the condo is to the restaurants of Navarre Beach with the actual beach right across the street. Sunsets are better on the sound side and we're amazing. Thanks for a great week!

Sandcastle paradise

We all loved this location! Perfect size for our family vacay - outside hammocks and bikes was a huge plus for us. Only thing I will comment is they need more towels. We had 8 people for a week and only 3 or 4 towels. Definitely not a deal breaker. We all still had a blast!

It was not cleaned properly…we had to clean it to stay in it. Smh. Thats all I’m going to say. For that amount I didn’t expect to have to deal with mold or having to clean. Extremely disappointed. I just want to put this bad experience behind me…lesson learned.

Garbage

The instructions were to take the garbage out and to the dumpster, that was fine but the outside garbage can has garbage in it from previous guests. There was food under the couch and under the coffee table. So we left the garbage in the outside can because we bagged all of our garbage and took it to the dumpster. I feel that some of the amenities could be updated: the grill, the household furnishings. Oh and we listed everyone that was staying and there were not enough bath towels for all 9 of us. We had to do laundry so others could have a clean towel to use. And the property needs to be listed as NOT wheelchair accessible. We had one in a wheelchair and thank goodness we had enough people to get her up and down the stairs. I feel the price we paid was too much especially for the things I’ve listed. We thank you for allowing us to use your property but you need to make sure your cleaning company is doing their job.

A bit disappointed

Not stocked well compared to other condos I have rented in the past. I could manage with that. The worst was after waiting 10 minutes after the check in time for the cleaning lady to leave, we go in and find a not so well cleaned condo. The master bath had soap scum and hair in the shower, the coffee pot had not been cleaned under the basket in a very long time and the sofa couch, when we lifted the cushions to check out the mattress was awful. We didn't even open it to use it, so dirty. There were 8 forks, 5 of which were small salad forks so I had to purchase plastic silverware. The beach umbrella was ripped and unusable. I did not contact the owner because he would not answer my first email regarding if we could go in even though the cleaning lady was still there. I just dealt with it. The hand mixer was broken and the blender was old and greasy feeling, so didn't use that. The slider door to the balcony was very difficult to open. I got the overall feeling that as long as no one complained, no changes had been made to the place in a very long time. When we left on our last day, we were instructed to text that we were leaving. The owner's response was a thumbs up...no thank you or hope you had a good stay. Just a thumbs up. It gave us a place to stay for the week but I will go back to the other condos we have rented in the past for the same comparable price and space.

Lovely location

The location of this property had onsight beach access to the sound side, and a 9 min walk to the beach on the gulf side. Quick access to the gas station. Townhouses were older, but inside was nice and clean. It is in a HOA, so there are some rules you have to abide by, but nothing serious. Overall was a great stay, owner of this property gave us full range to use everything in the house which came in handy with kids. Had a small hicup with the pull out couch not having linen, but owner quickly responded and fixed the issue. Still gave it 5 stars.

Arrival and check in were a breeze. Cute little place and good location. Do not recommend if you have an issue with climbing stairs though as there are two, rather steep, sets of them. All bedding was clean an updated. Good sized bathrooms. Had a small-ish issue with the outlets in the bathrooms not working but that was solved by an easy breaker flip. Also, the hair dryer did not work in the master bath but that was a minor problem that I’m sure will be handled. Just be sure and bring your own in case. Also, bring or purchase your own laundry detergent as there was none. Again, a minor thing but every other VRBO I’ve stayed in usually has some for you to use. All in all, I would recommend this condo to anyone and there’s a good chance that we will return.

The location of this property is great. 3 Hours from our home in New Orleans. Perfect amount of driving and the prettiest beaches. We love being so close to everything as well.

What makes this property unique

We have a pier where I can leave my boat. Walking distance to all the best restaurants and bars. Or hop on one of the 4 bicycles that we have available.
