We are Carlos and Karolina Galvez, owners of King of the Mountain. I am from Peru and my wife is from Switzerland. We met on a Caribbean cruise, married in Alaska and settled in Miami Florida. Over the last 30 years we have been blessed with 3 children, (all grown up & on their own) and with the opportunity to travel all over the world, including the Peruvian Andes and the Swiss Alps. Although we love the sea where we met, we both have a special place in our hearts for our mountains and what they represent. When we first visited the Smoky Mountains we fell in love with the area as we saw them as a memory of each other’s own culture. It was our dream to one day own a Cabin here as a gathering place for our ever growing family and friends, encouraging them to leave the hustle and bustle of our busy city lives behind and take a “Pause” in our gorgeous “King of the Mountain”.

Why they chose this property
King of the Mountain is one of the most beautiful cabins in the Pigeon Forge area. The views are stunning. We simply love its spacious rooms, the overall area, close enough to enjoy the attractions of the main towns but far enough to relax and enjoy the serene views of the Great Smoky Mountains. We are enjoying it to the fullest with our family and friends and when are not in town we want to share the same experience with you. We hope you enjoy our Cabin and take home a memory that will last for years to come.
What makes this property unique
It is an easy drive on the newly paved road and access from the Parkway. It is only about 2 miles to downtown Pigeon Forge, a few more to Gatlinburg and Sevierville but far enough to enjoy the peacefulness, lots of fresh mountain air and surrounding wilderness. Its bright rooms lighten the mood and are a perfect recipe to relax and recharge. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park as well as Cades Cove is just minutes away. There are plenty of choices for grocery shopping along the way (2 Miles to Krogers open 24 hours, or Publix) or simply have them ordered and ready for you upon your arrival.
