Cottage #4 was completely renovated for my personal use and never intended as a rental. Well a move to the West Coast changed all that. So…Cottage #4 has everything I love and wanted in a cottage, a big kitchen designed for a cook.. with great appliances, great pots and pans, good knives, big gas stove, Bosch dishwasher, redwood counters, and an old soapstone sink. The bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed, large window and skylight. The bathroom is beautiful, but the outdoor shower is all you will use. There is a big screen porch overlooking a private yard and wooded wetlands. There is cable TV (flat screen), and high speed internet. Its a spacious cottage perfect for two people. Just 2 miles to the national seashore beaches and a a short walk to beautiful Fort Hill and views of Nauset Marsh. My past guests have all said how much they feel at home in the cottage...and never want to leave.

This cottage was absolutely perfect. It was so relaxing and beautiful. Our favorite was the screened in porch! We look forward to staying there in the future. Highly recommend!
beautiful cottage, immaculate and wonderful location. Everything you need is there - the best cottage I've ever rented on the cape and I've been going there for decades
My fiancé and I spent a wonderful week in this charming, beautifully designed cottage in the days leading up to our wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. The home was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and impressively well-stocked — from quality cookware to essentials like paper towels and trash bags — a generous and much-appreciated touch from our host. We especially loved the outdoor shower and enjoyed relaxing dinners under the magical bistro lights on the screened-in porch. The location is ideal too — just a short stroll to Fort Hill, where we found breathtaking views and a fantastic hiking trail. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Many thanks to our gracious host!
This is our second time renting this cottage in the early fall. It is well maintained and charming. The location is close to beaches, and Eastham has a lot to offer. We have stayed in a number of places in this area, and this is our favorite.
The photos of Michael's cottage do not do it justice! It is pristine, cozy, and warm with every comfort including amazing kitchen supplies. The Fort Hill area of the Cape is magnificent too. I appreciated so much that I could have my little dogs with me. I can't wait to go back!!
FULLY equipped kitchen was such a pleasure including some basics like oil, salt, pepper, sugar, etc. something that always frustrates me at vacation spots is the lack of these things, so thank you for providing them. It made all the difference in what we needed to pack and go to the store to purchase. Cozy, comfortable, a perfect getaway, even with bad weather most of the week. I wish I could’ve stayed longer!
Great kitchen. Everything you need. Martini glasses in the freezer! Yeah! Clean, cozy. Walking distance to Fort Hill is a huge plus! Love this cottage!
Clean refrigerator ( no stuff left behind fromPrevious tenants) Quality cookware Responsive hostI recommend clearing out some of the stuff on kitchen shelves so they can be used
This is a wonderful summer cottage with a great screened in porch. It’s compact, but just the right size for my husband and I enjoying a second year of renting this property. It’s within easy walking distance of Fort Hill and its beautiful views of water and marsh. You’re also close to the National Seashore, stores and restaurants.
This was a very nice, well maintained and clean cottage. The owner had everything you might want for a stay. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking. Beautiful dishes and bowls. Very well equipped with appliances for all your needs.
We had a great time in this cottage. The space is lovely, with big double doors opening onto a screened deck, so that the living room can feel almost like being outside. The kitchen is as well equipped as home. We also enjoyed the neighborhood. Fort Hill is nearby, with gorgeous walks overlooking the estuary and ocean, and we lucked into a tour of the historic Penniman House on the way. It would be worth scheduling :-)
The cottage is very tastefully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable for two people. The bed is great! It is on beautiful Fort Hill and only two minutes by car from the National Seashore headquarters. Air conditioning is helpful for those very hot days.
We loved everything about our stay house was soooo cozy. Michael’s wonderful little touches everwhere made it a genuine vacation!Plan to return. Thank you!!!!
Every thing you might need, location is good. Near beaches, central between Provincetown and Chatham. Wellfleet not far for excellent seafood. Definitely would book again.
This was our 3d stay at this wonderful cottage. Perfect location near Fort Hill, close to all beaches, great kitchen, tasteful decor, cozy and cute! Perfect for 2. We will be back!

About the host
Hosted by Michael Meluskey
Had lived in Boston when I bought the cottages. I now live in Santa Barbara and manage a winery. This cottage is my sanctuary, where I go to relax and escape. A lot of love has gone into this cottage.
Why they chose this property
When I bought this property, it included all four cottages. I loved the proximity to Fort Hill and for many years would bring my whole family together.... everyone had a cottage. Moving to West Coast made this all difficult to manage, so sold off two cottages to friends. For many years we had our own compound, was a lot of fun.
What makes this property unique
I love to cook, and the cottage was designed to cook for a crowd. Its the best equipped rental kitchen you will find. The cottage is also filled with a mix of flea market treasures and beautiful art.
