Enjoy the breezes from the Lake Michigan beach while relaxing on the back deck of this charming old home just steps away from the water.

This house is a flat, with two separate entrances, living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. This property description applies to just the upstairs apartment, which is available when another party is staying in the the downstairs unit. It sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. One bedroom contains a queen bed, while the other allows for flexibility: it's outfitted with 2 twin beds and can be used in this fashion, or you can push the twin beds together to form a perfectly level king sized bed. Mattress pads and bedspreads are provided for both configurations. The upstairs unit features a comfy living area, a charming, well-equipped kitchen, a newly renovated bathroom, and a private, shady deck overlooking the back garden. You are also able to barbeque, picnic, and relax in the backyard.

The Beach Breeze Cottage is located on a beautiful, tree-lined street in downtown Frankfort, a beach town known for its restaurants, ice cream shops, and colorful surfing culture. Walk the beach for hours, on the other hand, and feel that you've escaped to God's country. This location has it all!

Guests must provide their own sheets and towels. Everything else is at hand. No need to bring spices, toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent or other cleaning supplies.

Peaceful, Yet Close to Everything

This was our second stay at Beach Breeze. It's location is within walking distance to most everyting in Frankfort, but it is on a quiet side street. Kathy was great to work and it was spotless when we arrived.

Perfect Location

This cottage put us right where we wanted to be, a block from both the lake and downtown. The additional favorite for our group was the rooftop patio- It was an easy 10 degrees cooler in the afternoon with plenty of shade and seating for everyone.

Family visit

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We stayed upstairs which is nicely decorated with a large deck off the kitchen. Our family of seven joined us for dinner & board games on the deck-worked out great. The location was perfect-two blocks to Frankfort’s beach where we swam with family & watched gorgeous sunsets. Downtown Frankfort was only a short walk for restaurants & shopping. We hope to return soon. 😃

Great location, cute house

We rented the upper portion of this home. It was perfect for a family of three. Great location. The town, Frankfort is adorable, and the house is a short walk from the lake and a great beach. It’s also a good location if you want to visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and Crystal Lake. Kathy was easy to work with and we had a great vacation. It was easy to socially distance during the pandemic. The kitchen was well equipped and made cooking meals at home easy. Def recommend this rental.

Why they chose this property

Being life-long Michiganders, it was our dream to have our own place on Lake Michigan.
When we found this house available in 2005, we couldn't believe our luck. Although it needed lots and lots of work, we've persevered and transformed it into the perfect place to stay. It's just a few steps from the beach, but it's in an outstanding little town where you can walk to the restaurants, brewery, library, post office and grocery store. It's also close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, one of the most notable National Park locations in the country.

What makes this property unique

The house is a flat, with a downstairs and an upstairs. Each has its own separate entrance, living room, bathroom and kitchen, as well as a porch or deck. If our calendar shows that this upstairs apartment is available, it probably means that our family or another trusted tenant is occupying the downstairs. Don't worry, you'll have plenty of privacy, and we're sure you'll enjoy your stay.
