Character house fully restored. On the heights of the village with open and breathtaking views. Pleasant Mediterranean garden with private swimming pool to relax. New fully equipped kitchen with 3-burner induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave oven and American fridge / freezer (unlimited water and ice cubes). Fully renovated bathroom with walk-in shower and semi-separate WC. A large living / dining room with a large sofa and a large convivial table overlooking a raised terrace with a view of the village of Roujan, the surrounding villages and the surrounding countryside. Large flat screen TV and wi-fi connection. Two spacious bedrooms. The first with 1 double bed 160 and the second with 2 bunk beds. Two extra beds and a cot can be installed in either bedroom (or in the living room). The owner provides tourist guides, books and documents to help you on your visits, as well as a welcome book with all the practical information. A wide choice of readings is also available in the family library.
Joint ownership with the owner but total independence.

A wonderful time

We had a great week in Roujan. The house was spotless with modern appliances, great air conditioning and a lovely swimming pool. The added bonus of parking right outside was handy too. The private garden with some areas of shade was very good as the weather was hot and sunny. The area is a great base for days out if you have transport as we did.Great local facilities, shops,pharmacy etc.

Family of four staying early August

We really enjoyed our stay in Roujan, the flat is a good size for a family of four and is well equipped. It would benefit from air conditioning in the bedrooms as it was hot at night, there is an air conditioning unit but it's in the lounge. We were asked not to alter the fridge temperature but it had been set at 7degrees which meant a lot of our fish and meat went off in the August heat! It felt unnecessary insisting that guests don't lower the temperature. The pool is a nice size, but it felt quite cold which put my kids off from using it as much as they normally do. I think this is mainly because any heat built up in the day is lost at night, it would benefit from the cover being applied at night (we were asked not to use the pool cover). We were asked to complete several contracts - including a 2000 euro deposit - prior to arrival at the property, this seemed very unusual and isn't something we have been asked to complete before so I raised it with VRBO. VRBO contacted the owner and explained we shouldn't be asked to sign these additional contracts, however when we checked in we were asked to sign the contracts (which were in French)! We agreed not to pay the 2000 euro deposit. I recommend that this is not something guests that have booked through VRBO are asked to complete, given they have contracted through VRBO. On arrival the check in process also took 50 minutes as we had to go through a lot of detail, this seemed excessive.

Thanks Tom. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay despite the cool night air. Regarding the terms, I prefer to reassure my tenants by applying good practices for vacation rentals in force in the EU (unknown to some British people). Since the opening of the cottage four years ago, I have sent all my future tenants a contract accompanied by a precise description of the premises which protects you from fraud or abuse. I therefore also request a PDF insurance certificate from your insurer for the rented period. Insurance companies are familiar with this banal procedure, often this PDF can be downloaded immediately. Still in accordance with custom, a security deposit check of 2000 euros is required from all tenants on the day of their arrival. I admit to you that I have never had a problem, they have always been responsible

Location très bien située, entre Cévennes et mer. La location en elle même est plus grande que sur les photos, et très bien équipée pour un séjour en famille. Le climatiseur et la piscine permettent fe survivre pendant la canicule ! Location chaudement recommandée.

Merci Monique, les locataires estivants apprécient généralement les vins locaux. Concernant la climatisation, je suis venu le lendemain de votre départ installer un climatiseur pour atténuer la chaleur due à la canicule exceptionnelle de l'été 2022. Le manque de pression d’eau s’explique du fait que l’altitude du château d'eau enterré dans la colline de Roujan située tout près est insuffisante par rapport à la maison

Lidt skuffende

Boligen ligger i en ret kedelig by, dog med OK supermarked og lige ud til en vej med ret meget støj. Vær opmærksom på at der ingen aircondition er. Udlejer har et helt ringbind med regler der skal overholdes. Eksempelvis at man ikke må have glas med til poolen. Lejligheden er heldigvis indrettet med to plastikkopper.. Desuden må der ikke skrues på temperaturen på køleskabet, som står på 8 grader! Udlejer taler KUN fransk. Underboen har ikke ret til poolen, men vi måtte konstatere at de ikke kunne holde sig væk. Naboerne klagede over vores parkering flere gange, selv om vi parkerede på offentlig parkering - de har åbenbart uskrevne regler for hvor man må parkere.

Vedrørende klimaanlægget installerede jeg et system efter din afrejse for at reducere varmen fra denne usædvanlige hedebølge i sommeren 2022. For svømmehallen må der faktisk ikke være knust glas i og omkring svømmehallen af hensyn til sikkerheden for mine gæster. Jeg sørger derfor for en karaffel og seks store plastikglas som angivet i ringbindet. Desværre mødtes vi ikke for at diskutere det, fordi jeg rejste i Canada under dit ophold (hvor mit engelsk var meget nyttigt for mig). Du har reserveret parkering til din rådighed, du bør ikke parkere din bil foran udgangen af den ældre nabos garage, sygeplejersker parkerer der tre gange om dagen

Excellente location

La location est vraiment super top : l’intérieur a été refait avec goût et suffisamment grand pour 4/6 personnes . Piscine privée géniale. Resto à côté. Bref vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Très bonnes prestations J’ai oublié l’accueil avec une bouteille et des tapas très apprécié.

Superbe appartement dans maison avec piscine et vue sur le Pays d'Oc

Il s'agit d'un appartement au premier étage d'une très jolie maison dans les hauteur du village de Roujan. Lors de notre séjour, nous étions les seuls à occuper la maison. L'appartement est refait à neuf et est très joliment décoré. De la veranda, il y a une vue dégagée sur le Pays d'Oc. La cuisine est équipée de tous le nécessaire, il y a même une plancha pour de beaux diners au bord de la piscine. Nous avons eu la chance d'être les premiers saisonniers depuis la renovation de l'appartement et pouvons fortement recommander l'appartement d'Hervé pour vos vacances.
