This Victorian home was so beautiful, clean, well equipped, and terrific location in Calistoga! Dario & Irina are wonderful hosts and very responsive. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in wine country! Thank you!!
The property was perfect for our girls trip to stomp grapes, mud bath, and just hang out at the property in between activities. It is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance of downtown. Each bedroom was spacious with its own bathroom. The large backyard was perfect for hanging out, eating and drinking.Owners were very accommodating and responded quickly to any requests or questions. Would strongly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Walkable to everything in downtown Calistoga. Huge outdoor area. Nicely supplied kitchen. Comfy beds. We had 6 in our group and thoroughly enjoyed the space. Highly recommend.
Great home for our party of 8 adults. Easy walk to town lined with shops, tasting rooms and restaurants. The antiques through out the home are still left from the 1800’s when the house was built. The home has been upgraded just enough to keep it as a comfortable older home. We will be back.
This property was ideal for our group of 8 (4 couples). Each couple had a nice sized bedroom and their own bathroom, great common areas, including a nice backyard, and a great kitchen with all the stuff we needed to cook.
The location was also terrific, a couple blocks from the heart of Calistoga, about a 5-10 minute walk at most to everything.
We have stayed at several places in Napa, we will definitely be going back to this one.
This Victorian home with modern amenities was perfect for our group of four couples on a Napa Valley wine country getaway. Each couple had their own bedroom and private bathroom, and the kitchen, dining, and living room areas were spacious for our group. The home was well located in a quiet area of Calistoga, had ample parking and outdoor patio space, and was an easy walk to downtown businesses and restaurants. The location in Calistoga also made it an easy drive to Napa Valley wineries and restaurants in neighboring towns.
We would definitely stay here again!
This charming Victorian home is located in a residential neighborhood that is a 10 minute walk to the main downtown area (Lincoln Blvd). We found it had plenty of room for 6 Adults and it could easily accommodate 8. It was a warm weekend and the AC did a great job of keeping the house cool. The beds were comfortable and it has a nice large dining table for group meals. We also appreciated the nice large refrigerator and sharp knives for cooking. We would definitely return on a future visit.
The house was historical and beautiful, located just a couple of blocks from down town. The six of us had plenty of room, the kitchen and living areas are good size for gathering and relaxing together. Very comfortable. The hosts respond to any question immediately. It was a wonderful holiday in this home!
We had a cousin reunion of 4 couples and this place worked out great. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom and the outdoor area was a great gathering area for us. The location allowed for a very easy walk to downtown Calistoga and direct driving routes to wineries in Napa and Sonoma.
The property was nicely furnished in period style pieces and the kitchen was large enabling meal multi tasking by multiple guests. The large dining room table was perfect for 8 people to pass food and wine as we enjoyed lively conversations.
Castello Victorian was the perfect home base for my family to enjoy California wine country. The home's 4 spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, along with large living and dining areas, comfortably accommodated seven of us. The location is outstanding - in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk to the center of Calistoga. The home is decorated beautifully if you like historic/Victorian era, but the kitchen is updated and modern. Large outdoor patio to enjoy as well. Thank you!
Roomy house with ample off-street parking. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen appears to be well supplied with cookware and utensils. Bar area has plenty of wine glasses and a wine fridge. Great communications with the owner. Easy check-in process, even with a late (11:30pm) arrival. Short walk to restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops on Lincoln Ave. Easy drive to the wineries along Hwy 29 and the Silverado Trail.
We just enjoyed a terrific stay at this property in Calistoga. We had 4 couples and the house was set up perfect with 4 bedrooms and 4 separate bathrooms. The house sits on a large lot and has some nice outdoor space in the backyard. The house is old but they have updated the kitchen and the rest, everything is functional and works well. What we enjoyed most was being able to walk the two blocks to downtown Calistoga for morning coffee, dinner or just a stroll. Being in the top of the Napa Valley we were still close to endless wineries and tastings, very convenient. We would visit again! Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Dario & Irina Sattui
Dario Sattui is owner of Castello di Amorosa and V. Sattui Winery in Napa Valley California. As a child, Sattui was an entrepreneur and loved playing sports. He started various businesses in grammar school, high school and college and gained valuable experience in the basics of business.
His great grandfather Vittorio Sattui, an Italian immigrant, founded V. Sattui Winery in 1885 in San Francisco. As Vittorio lived to be 94 years old, Dario got to know him and was fascinated by his stories and photos of the old winery, above which the Vittorio Sattui family continued to live even after Prohibition closed the old V. Sattui Winery. As a child, Dario would play among the barrels and tanks in the underground cellars while dreaming of reviving V. Sattui Winery when he grew up.
He kept this dream alive as he furthered his education with degrees in Accounting & Finance from San Jose State University an M.B.A. from University of California, Berkeley. Following graduation, Sattui traveled around Europe for two years in an old VW van. It was during this period his fascination for medieval architecture began to take shape. Living out of his van, Sattui would visit medieval castles, monasteries, palaces farmhouses and wineries studying their designs, taking photographs and completing detailed sketches and renderings.
In 1972, Sattui returned to the U.S. with the intent of re-establishing his great grandfather’s original V. Sattui winery which had been dormant for more than 50 years. With $8,000 and a novel approach to the wine business he re-opened V. Sattui winery in St. Helena and turned a profit in the first year of operation.
Armed with his vault of medieval architectural renderings and another passionate dream, Sattui purchased a 171 acre vineyard property in Calistoga in 1993 and began construction of Castello di Amorosa Winery in 1994. Clearly, the success of V.Sattui winery built the 121,000 square foot, 12th century style, authentic Tuscan castle winery.
Why they chose this property
On behalf of Castello di Amorosa I wish to welcome you to our new Inn, Castello Victorian. I was fortunate to be able to purchase one of the nicest and most beautiful houses in Calistoga, CA. Built in the late 19th Century, it had been in the same family for many years and had been a Bed & Breakfast in the past. It possesses the detail, craftsmanship and charm only found in some of the beautiful, old buildings of two centuries ago.
My wife Irina has spent countless hours planning, purchasing furniture, decorating and adding to the regal charm of this structure. Honestly, I never realized that Irina had such talent and taste for interior decoration. I am very proud of the result.
It is only three blocks from downtown Calistoga and 5 minutes from the Castlello Di Amorosa and 15 min from V. Sattui Winery. Please enjoy your stay in our beautiful home. If you have any questions, please contact Irina and she would be more than happy to assist.
