Secluded European Style 1810 Mansion minutes to the lake, sleeps 15
Travel up the 2000 foot driveway, with its magnificent trees, stone bridge, and creek, that manifest the romantic vision of traditional England. This exquisite European stone mansion sits on a tree-covered rise surrounded by its private 45 acres. Boasting six outdoor patios, gardens and lovely panoramic views. The whole Inn consists of a total of 7.5 guest rooms and 6.5 baths . There are 3 wood burning and 7 natural gas fireplaces throughout the Inn, that make the inside warm and inviting. Walnut and mahogany inlays, wide plank floor boards and paintings, the winding staircase, beamed ceilings, and glass-enclosed porch overlooking the original stone wall(The Rockery) capture the English beauty.
The price quoted here is for a total of 7.5 bedrooms with 6.5 baths and the use of the main house, which includes a Large Living room, Formal Dining room, butlers pantry and a fully equipped Kitchen. The small sun room is one of my favorite rooms. It is the perfect place to have that first cup of coffee in the morning and that glass of wine in the evening as you watch the sun set. There is a large wood burning fireplace in the living room and gas fireplaces in the dining room, study and large Sun room.
There are more options available including using part or all of the property as an Events Venue.

Thank You! You definitely need to come back in the summer and enjoy the place! Very relaxing, peaceful and beautiful, a great place for your group to hang out!
Very lovely and well-appointed large home. Liza greeted us upon arrival and was very available when we had questions (like how to turn on the vent above the stove). Property is very convenient to town and to all the activities we attended.
Our extended family gathered at this pastoral and historic space for an overnight after a show at CMAC . Wish we had stayed longer! Beautiful accommodations and lovely grounds. We’ll be back!

14 of us stayed here for our reunion and it was perfect! Wonderful areas to relax and talk both inside and out. The grounds were beautiful and fun to explore. Liza was easy to work with and the perfect host! We enjoyed the fire pit and the kitchen had everything we ever needed! It was a perfect place for us!

Your group was GREAT! I would be very happy for you to come back again real soon.
The property is beautiful and well maintained. Liza was a gracious and helpful host. She made herself available for any needs and checked in throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this property!
We had fifteen family members from across the country converge at the Morgan Samuals Inn. The grounds are lovely and the house is just a wonderful as described! Our host was very helpful and tolerant of our family of three generations. It was everything we needed and allowed for a relaxed and comfortable family weekend.
Liza:
Thank you for the pleasant stay at the Morgan Samuels Inn Venue. Everything was as described. We were welcomed and nicely accommodated. Thank you for keeping us so warm with the fireplaces and porch stove.
We enjoyed our visit to the Finger Lakes.

Thanks Barbara, your whole group was wonderful and I hope you come back to the Finger Lakes again soon.
This beautiful house comfortably accommodated our group of 13 for a family get-together. Each bedroom was lovely with great mattresses and quality bedding. There are so many different places on the property to gather, something pretty to look at everywhere you turn. And we found lots to do in the surrounding area, from swimming to boat tours to wineries. Highly recommended!

Thanks Jo, you and your family are welcome to come back and do more exploring in the Finger Lakes and would love for you to stay here again.
We came up with a group of 6 couples for 1 night and all had a wonderful time at the Inn. The rooms were all beautifully decorated and the property was very nicely maintained. There are many areas to explore and grab a chair and relax. Liza was a great host and made sure everything went smoothly for our stay. We would definitely consider coming back, hopefully for a longer period next time.

I was so excited to have the opportunity to stay in your lovely Mansion. Liza is one of the most real and sweetest person I have ever met. It was a wonderful and unforgettable time.
The property and house are incredibly well maintained, with a friendly property manager who is there to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The character of the individual rooms is charming, and the amenities are more than grand. We enjoyed a fire, an outdoor dinner, and all of the delights the house had to offer. We will be back!

You guys were GREAT! So happy you enjoyed your stay here and enjoyed the Finger Lakes. You are definitely welcome to come back again.
Thanks,

Liza was amazing. Started us off with a tour, showed where everything was and provided a brief history of her beautiful estate. The gardens are amazing and a representation of her love for the property. There were 12 of us and the propert had room for more. Close to everything but felt like a private retreat. We all loved it and appreciated Liza recommendations for every adventure we had in mind. A true gem.
Thank you, Liza, for sharing your beautiful property with us. Our group really enjoyed the mansion, and we only have positive comments to share.
The house itself is magical, like out of a fairy tale. The rooms are well separated and so different, we enjoyed the variety of styles. The kitchen and laundry were fully stocked! The gardens are amazing. We loved our time sitting outside, chatting and enjoying the views.
Highly recommended! I hope we will return.

We were five couples on a cycling trip in the Finger Lakes. Liza’s beautiful manor house was home base. We cooked every night and used different patios and a sun room for dining. The surrounding outdoor settings are spectacular in every direction,, largely because of the skilled gardening that enhances every view. It’s secluded, yet close to town, and feels like a true escape! Liza, when you run into her on the property, always has interesting local stories and the house itself has a colorful history, all documented for the interested visitor. A terrific stay!

You and your group were very busy exploring the Finger Lakes but also made it back to have a nice relaxing dinner and enjoyed the property .
Come back again soon!
We stayed at former B&B at the Morgan Samuels Inn mid-week for a concert at the CMAC which was super convenient. However, we are wishing we’d stayed longer as the house was so cozy, steeped in history and the grounds were beautiful. Liza was easy to work with and a joy to chat with during our stay. She could be seen often working diligently around the property to continue to restore it to its former glory. It already looks fantastic and would definitely consider for event space and renting for special occasions! The rooms are spacious with most having their own bathroom and all having new mattresses. Definitely mark this property to your favorites and make an excuse to go visit!

Thanks Shana, don't wait for another concert to come back again, you have more exploring to do.
A spectacular 5 days in the Samual mansion! We had a group of college friends celabrating 49 since we met. We could not have had a better gathering place. Private bedrooms and baths and the greatest gathering room where 14 of us sat around the fireplace with the wood our host Liza had all gathered for us. The grounds are so beautiful with so many gardens. A full and well supplied kitchen! Liza, thank you for your hospitality and making all so comfortable. This was a piece of paradise. CHERYL

Thanks Cheryl,
I am so happy you chose the Morgan Samuels and the Finger Lakes for your 49th. The weather was not the greatest but that did not stop your group, you explored and enjoyed. Please come back again you were great!
I booked a stay at Morgan Samuels for my bridal party to get ready and take photos. Liza was so great and allowed us to come a few months early and give us a tour of the house. It definitely put us at ease knowing the house was BETTER than pictured! There were a total of 8 bedrooms, which is hard to come by in the finger lakes! Liza also let us come up a day before our stay and drop off some food/drink items, which would be used for our Rehearsal dinner that we had on the grounds. Liza setup tables for us and even helped us place food out for the event. She only charged us $100 extra for the small event, which was very reasonable! She helped us clean up and get the grounds ready for the next day. Liza was also available at the house from about 10am-4am, so if you are expecting full privacy please make that known to Liza as she will likely be at the house for the remainder of your stay. While we were taking photos, Liza, her friend, a small child, and 2 dogs were on the property. It wasn't a huge deal as we asked her to move so we could take pictures, and she did without issue. Overall, the stay was wonderful and everyone had a great time!

About the host

I'm from the Canandaigua Area which is nestled in the heart of the Finger Lakes. For 27 years, I owned and ran The Company Store/Cheshire Union, (an old country store). I was a gardener for Mrs. Peggy Wegman until her recent passing. which inspired me to become a Master gardener.
My husband, Reg and I have both grown up in the Canandaigua Area and have been self employed for over 30 years.
Why they chose this property
The moment I stepped in the door, I knew I belonged here. It had everything I had been dreaming of. It needed some TLC and I was ready. Having worked for others as a gardener and housekeeper over the last few years, I finally get to put this knowledge and expertise to work on this amazing property. Every day brings something new in this beautiful mansion and I love every minute of it.
What makes this property unique
There's no place in the area like it. Step back in time and have your own mansion for a week (or even just a night). You can just feel the tranquillity as you sit down and relax in the Sunroom or on the patio amongst the gardens, surrounded by 45 acres. Yet only minutes to Canandaigua Lake and downtown Canandaigua.
