Very comfortable accommodation with helpful and responsive host. Looking forward to our next stay. Been staying there for over 10 years, never disappoints.
Our stay in Fiji was absolutely amazing! The place had a breathtaking view, a spacious deck, and a cozy open living area with a well-equipped kitchen. The two-bedroom, two-bath setup was perfect. The beautiful beach was just across the street, and town restaurants were conveniently close. The landlord was super helpful, recommending great restaurants and a reliable driver. It was a fantastic experience—highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back! Thanks, Martha!
Our stay was fantastic. Communication with Martha was excellent and Malti was an excellent host to both my wife and I. It was our first visit to Fiji and I think we will be back!
A very convenient 1 night stay before checking into the resort next door. Right on the water and easy enough to arrange a taxi into town. Stunning sunset views, great reef for snorkelling.
Location cannot be beat - sunset views are spectacular and only steps across the small street to the water. Martha and Arthur were amazing hosts, with great communication. The bedroom AC was clutch during the heat and the fans and windows screens allowed for good ventilation in the rest of the space. Would definitely stay again!
This house is in an amazing location! Beautiful views, great snorkeling out front, beautiful flowers! Close to everything but not too close! We loved staying here!!! Highly recommend!!
We truly enjoyed staying at this rental cottage. The privacy and space to stretch out and enjoy the views of the Bay were the best part of our stay. Having a private cottage to relax and hang our wetsuits was perfect! The grounds were beautiful with tropical trees and gardens. The only reason we didn’t give 5 stars was because the showers need a little renovation but we would definitely return and stay here again! stars was
We had a great stay and really appreciated the hosts Arthur and Martha and Malti who couldnt have been more helpful. Loved the snorkling available right outside the front door and also the peace.
This house was just OK. It is in need of updating, such as the mattresses (no support!), the appliances; ESPECIALLY the very tiny stove/oven, and the screen doors. The location was good, with ocean access right across the street, with good snorkeling close by. The well kept grounds were especially nice.
Not just your usual condo rental. They setup a driver to pick us up at the airport and the housekeeper was over the top helpful. For divers, the Costeau dive shop is easy walking distance for more great customer service and diving.
We would definitely rent again.
Situated on a beautifully landscaped estate, this property is just across the road from the beach which has great snorkelling, plentiful of colourful corals and fish. There are two rooms with their own ensuite and the kitchen and living areas in the middle, making it ideal for two couples or a family with teenagers. Back to nature in a quiet part of Savusavu, beautiful walks by the beach or up in the hills, but it also has a tv and is just a 10 minute drive to town. We loved our stay here, thanks Martha and Arthur for sharing this beautiful spot with us!
Amazing location next to dive shop & snorkeling steps from the door.
I feel in love with Fiji while staying in this home. The simplicity of life can be experienced here. The pictures on the website do this house no justice. We ate fruit that we picked on the plantation the house sits on. It was 80 degrees the whole time we where there and the cool showers were refreshing. I definitely recommend this house and the delightful hosts and the SavuSavu area in general.
Loved our time in Savusavu, and the location of property was a joy. A short, and tolerable, scenic drive into town for any convenience. Enjoyed the snorkeling directly in front of the cabin. Pro tip: go out at high tide as much easier to reach coral. Wish we spent more time at Split Rock! Only caught that in our way out. We did a snorkel tour to Natewa Bay, oh my! Incredible, next time we'll be mindful of more sunscreen.
The cabin met our requirements well. The housekeeper was delightful and met us on arrival and departure. Communication with Martha was great. We flew in/out of Labasa and had a rental car for the stay. The drive was a scenic 90 minutes. Be sure to visit the Vaudomo village waterfall, a pure Fiji experience!
I hope to cross paths again in Fiji. This was the perfect beginning of our couple weeks across Fiji.
The property was pretty much as described, although a little tired. It is in a nice spot overlooking the bay with western sunset views and good snorkelling across the road and especially just down the road at split rock. There are plenty of activities available in the area of savusavu and a range of restaraunts.
Be aware it is too far to walk into town. We caught the bus a few times but the the timetable didn't often work out for us, so often it involved a taxi.
We also didnt cook as much as planned - the kitchen is very basic and the lighting very poor - I think a light is missing in the kitchen. Also no functioning coffee making implement!! Inside sofas also need replacing.
The deck however is lovely and the tariff reasonable. A couple of visits to Natawa Bay for snorkelling were defs our highlights.

Private Retreat Great Views!
My husband and I spent two weeks at this wonderful house that is about 5km from the quaint town of Savusavu. It’s easy to take the local bus that stops a few times each day except Sundays and holidays into town to pick up groceries and grab a meal. Purchase a pass for the bus in town as the drivers do not take cash. We would usually hail a cab to go back to the house (about $8 Fijian). Savusavu is right on the bay so quite pretty. The restaurants are low key and good curries are available at reasonable prices. There are a few local stores for purchasing supplies. Most of the shopping is local, but there are a couple nice shops with handmade items. I liked the one behind the market and there are a couple in the marina. The two bedrooms and baths are separate enough to ensure privacy for two couples. Bed was comfy..loved having AC in the bedroom..plenty of hot water for showers. We enjoyed taking the two kayaks out into the bay during high tide. You can see directly into the coral reefs and spot colorful fish. For walking on the beach you need footwear. The house has a good sized covered porch area for enjoying the view and all the activity on the bay. Remember to pack insect repellent. We got good use from the washing machine and clothesline. The inside is roomy with a two burner propane stovetop and microwave for cooking, and plenty of utensils, pots, dishware, etc. There is a nice selection of movies provided also. Highly recommend!!
Beautiful location. As mentioned in an earlier review it would be nice to have an eating table inside. Swimming and snorkeling while world class are challenging at anything but high tide, as there are no really convenient entry points. Hosts were great, no issues, as was the can driver. May need to rework the sloping bathroom shower floor as it leaks into the bathroom. Mosquitoes are tiny and come out after rain so be forewarned. Enjoy
This property was perfect! It was located next door to a dive resort and across the street and down the road (walking distance) to Split Rock for magnificent snorkeling!
Martha, our host made communication a breeze. She was very kind to even arrange for a taxi pickup at the airport. Martha was waiting to welcome us when our taxi arrived at the home.
The home itself was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked making it very easy to cook our meals there. We made good use of the gas stovetop, the oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and even the hot water kettle.
The property the home sits on was a delight for us. There were several papaya trees in season so it was so fun to pick a tree-ripened papaya every morning to have with breakfast.
We loved everything about this home, our hosts and the staff. Martha’s groundskeeper was cutting a coconut tree down one day and was so kind to bring us 3 coconuts. He then gave us a quick lesson on how to open it and drink the delicious coconut water.! We felt so spoiled!
We didn’t rent a car and felt we didn’t suffer for it. The local bus stopped close to the home and for $1.00 USD, we would take a 15 minute bus ride to town for groceries and supplies.
Fiji is a beautiful place to visit and we would highly recommend visiting Savusavu and staying at this lovely home!
Thank you Martha for a lovely experience!
We really enjoyed staying at Navure!
Martha was a great host. And her housekeeper Malti was fantastic. Both helped us with ideas about the area, cab drivers, restaurants, things to do, and most importantly hooked us up with the dive shop at the resort next door. (Jean-Michele Cousteau)
The house is in an excellent location. The snorkeling directly in front of the house is world class. (Especially Split Rock - just a short swim away). A short drive to town, and again next door to the resort. There are kayaks at the house available for use as well.
There are definitely some mosquitos, so bring your deet.
A/Cs in the bedrooms are very nice, as it does get warm especially in the afternoons. The second bedroom is not attached to the main house. Good to know if you have little ones.
We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for a month and found the location to work really well for us. The bus stop was just off the driveway, the snorkeling was great in the waters just in front of us, we could pick fresh fruit from the garden... The fridge was a good size, adequate pots and dishes for kitchen use. If there was a down side - we would have enjoyed more comfortable chairs and a table inside to sit at. The mosquitos were bothersome at times (outside), but the view was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Martha answered questions promptly and Malti took very good care of us, checking on us every day or two.
