About this property

Cozy cabin

Nestled in its own 12 wooded acres. Perfect for some social distancing. We have a 2 story cabin includes kitchenette, bathroom, living room downstairs and two open loft style bedrooms upstairs.
SMK Cabin Rental is a cozy little cabin located 1.5 miles from Tappan Lake.

Has central air and central heat.
Dish tv.
Hot tub
Gas grill and also a firepit outback.

Cell service is great with Verizon. Not sure about other carriers.

We are NOT a 5 star resort nor do we try to be one. We are a camping cabin in the middle of the woods. You may encounter wildlife, bugs ,etc on your trip.


We are located on our own 12 wooded acres. Guests are more than welcome to enjoy a hike in our woods to enjoy the nature.

We do not provide camp firewood. Must bring your own. Or send us a message and we can purchase firewood and have it ready for you.

We also take requests for firewood,decorations, flowers etc for birthdays, anniversaries, or just that special occasion.
Please feel free to message us.
For your safety and ours. we have 1 camera that points away from the cabin and only sees the driveway.

This is our second stay. Hot tub and back porch that now has a blind- are awesome. Kitchen has everything you need. Regular coffee pot with filters. Plenty of towels and toilet paper. Everything smells and looks clean.

This cabin proved to be way better than the photos promised! Plenty of space for a family of 4 and a dog. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed including great Internet! Very comfortable. The property is so quiet and beautiful, a little stream (in the spring time), lovely fire pit, hot hot tub, relaxing porches. We'd all be happy to stay here again in the future, maybe summer when we could go boating at Tappan Lake too or the fall to see all the trees in full color!The host was very easy to contact and replied quickly to our questions, definitely would stay at his properties again!

The cabin was exactly what we had hoped for and far exceeded our expectations. Relaxing in the hot tub, under the Christmas lights during a snowstorm was absolutely amazing! Our host even came to shovel off the deck and plow the driveway for us. I can't think of a better place to have celebrated ringing in the New Year! We are already planning our next trip, can't wait to come back.

Had a great couple days here. It was tucked away from all loudness of city life. If you need a quiet getaway, this is the place for it. Our favorite part was sitting on the back porch and going in the hot tub. Definitely recommend staying here.

A great stay

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the cabin. Clean, comfortable, just a short drive off the main road. Would recommend checking it out if considering staying around Tappan lake.
