Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Shocking is one word to describe our experience. Frequent travellers, we have never experienced anything like this. We were let into apartment with quick instructions and a set of keys. We were not given blankets, no wifi instructions, no toilet paper. Terrace turned out to be a small balcony with stained furniture and a paddle of running water. We contacted the host right away, who came in with toilet paper and opening like - if you don’t like it you are fre to leave. We pointed out that there were no blankets prepared for us but as we opened a closet there were dirty ones. She started yelling at us saying we had no right to judge the cleanliness of her place and we were no longer welcome there. At this point we were so upset by this interaction that we said we would love to leave but we paid for our 3 night stay. She grabbed the keys previously given to us and run out leaving us locked in the apartment. We tried to contact customer service at Vrbo but calls were not coming through. Nora - the host - came back within an hour with a male who not only started yelling but grabbed our bags and proceeded throwing them out of apartment and threatening us with physical harm. At this point, I dialled police. Meanwhile Nora told us that she cancelled our reservation. It was plain horrible. We left apartment fearing for our safety, sat by the curb searching for accommodation. Thankfully found a beautiful place, but our vacation day was fully ruined, not mentioning emotional distress
