Sweet Rustic Cottage ~ Ocean View ~ Short walk to beach

A Classic Kauai Cottage on Acres of Beautiful Grounds. Away from developments and the public. More Island Artsy Than Corporate. Two ceiling fan's in living room and one ceiling fan in bedroom. One floor fan. Nice, natural breeze normally.

Watch the sunrise off the ocean horizon from bed. Enjoy quiet time under the shade of the Pink Tacoma trees in the hammock which embraces both ocean & mountain views.

IDEAL FOR NATURE LOVERS ONLY... because, although the cottage does get pest control quarterly, you may still see insects. It's part of being in a tropical climate.

Its a short 15 to 20 minute walk down a shady little road to beautiful Anahola Beach. In case of a tsunami warning you will NOT need to evacuate as we are not in the evacuation zone.

Our retreat is located in the East for a great base to explore both sides of the island. Also within 25 minute walking distance is a little general store, post office, ono char burger stand.

We found the property exceptional. If you are looking for rustic in a great setting, this is your place. We should have reached out to Diane more, because I could not find a way to walk to the beach. But we did drive to many incredible beaches in the area. I am hoping to stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Was so nice to have a relaxing home base in a gorgeous setting. The house has got everything you need, just bring your own shower needs. Beach equipment is good to go, and a ton of us previous guests have bottles of sunscreen in the closet. Maybe just bring some earplugs if the early morning roosters will wake you.

Idyllic setting, very tranquil. Lovely views. Take naps in the hammock. Listen to the singing birds and the clicking of the palms. Gaze at the stars. Everything you need for a simple, no-frills, deeply relaxing vacation. Magical. Easy access to grocery store and shopping, but feels remote. You'll forget the Internet even exists. (But there's good WiFi, if you really need it.)

This is a fantastic hideaway in the hills, tranquil with constant cool sea breezes -- far from the crowds and tourists, a true getaway to chill and close to lots of great beaches and snorkel spots on the east shore. We spent a perfect week and would have loved to stayed longer.

This property was pure bliss everything I dream of when I come to Kauai. The modest photos don’t convey how nice it actually is. The cottage is on a generous piece of property with no neighbors in sight. It’s a rustic, human kind of place decorated with nice original paintings and comfy furniture. It was perfectly positioned so you get the glorious sunrise in front (in April at least) and dramatic view of the mountains behind it. Charcoal bbq grill in back, fully equipped kitchen and everything you could need- beach chairs cooler snorkel gear right down to thoughtfully provided trays of fresh ice cubes. Diane was super responsive at all times. May not appeal so much to people who like resorts but I personally loath corporate vacation places decorated with hobby lobby schlock. I like to feel like I live there when I vacation and be part of the neighborhood. Adorable Doggies came to visit each day. Warning- the hammock may torpedo your aspirations for hiking! Even that couldn’t have been better positioned you get a wonderful view of the mountains just inland. Anaholo turned out to be a perfect location easy drive to Hanalei and Kapaa area. There are precious few places like this available to stay on Kauai consider yourself lucky to get it!

Beautiful home with amazing views. Lovely visitors, four paws. Diana was a lovely host. Grateful for her sharing her beautiful, peaceful cottage. Close to beautiful beaches.
