About this property
Fazende Farmhouse POOL Midi Pyrénées Le Lot France
Our Holiday Home 46250 area Le Lot is a rustic farmhouse approx 1.45 hours by car from Toulouse. Sleeps up to 8 in the main house, 2 in the outside lodgings and another 2 if requested additionally. Simple in style, lots of country character. The house is a great base to discover some of the most spectacular French villages including Cahors and Rocamadour. The property consists of a Main House (sleeps 8), a dormitory style Barn, the "Bread Oven" (sleeps 2) and the "Little Barn" (sleeps 2)
Our Farm House is a great place for your Spring or Summer holiday and a fabulous warm and inviting place to spend the long autumn and winter nights. It is easily accessible by car from Toulouse airport (about 1.45 hours south of the house) or Bergerac airport (about 1.5 hours north). We are a 10 minute drive from the sweet Bastide market town of Cazals which has good restaurants, shops, a supermarket as well as recreation activities such as tennis and a fishing lake. Cahors is the closest bigger town with large supermarkets and an excellent market on Saturday and Wednesday - only a 30 minute drive south. There is a train station in Cahors and also Gourdon which is 30 minute drive north.
**FARM HOUSE** GROUND FLOOR In the main Farm House we have the entertaining spaces on the ground floor including a large vaulted kitchen/dining room. The main bathroom and shower are also on the ground floor and additional WC. Through a passage there is a playroom which is a cool vaulted room with access to the outside shaded terrace overlooking the pool and garden - perfect for lazy afternoons out of the warm summer sun!
The terrace has a pergola with comfortable outdoor furniture - 3 seater sofa, armchair, dining table and chairs for at least 8. There is an extra table for either serving or extending the dining table.
The pool is covered. Please keep covered when not in use. It is not heated.
FIRST FLOOR Sitting room with two bedrooms. One has a double bed and two single beds. There is also enough room for a camp bed or floor mattress.
The second bedroom has a king sized bed and more space for a camp bed/floor mattress (stored in the barn across from the house)
SECOND FLOOR Up a narrow set of stairs to the second floor in the pigeonnier or tower is another large airy bedroom with a super-king sized bed with an ensuite bathroom.
ADDITIONAL ACCOMMODATIONS
**BREAD OVEN** (see photos labeled Bread Oven) 50 yards from the Farm House (private) Double bedroom. Guests in the Bread Oven use the bathroom in the barn opposite or in the main farm house.
**BARN** In the barn itself is a bathroom with a WC, basin, bath and shower over the bath. Upstairs is the fairly basic dormitory which the kids love. It is great for the young to have their own space to hang out, read and play cards, especially when it is too hot to be outside!
**THE LITTLE BARN** (See photos labeled "Little Barn")- **Available at an additional price with your booking of the Farm House**. Can not be booked without also booking the Farm House. This is the newest addition to our accommodation- at the end of the garden beyond the swimming pool. This consists of an open plan sitting room with day bed/single sleeping bed and kitchen with stairs leading up to an airy double bedroom. There is a shower room off the bedroom with a basin and WC.
Outside the Little Barn is an outdoor area with table and chairs and down the slope is the swimming pool. We would not let this space out to any other guests during your stay but if extra space is required it can be enjoyed for an extra cost.

About the host
Your host
I am a mother of four lovely children and live inShropshire, a beautiful part of England, near the border of mid Wales. My husband Robin works in London during the week. We run our home as a wedding venue and holiday destination. We have been married for 18 years. Our children are 17, 16, 14 and 12. We love country life, enjoy walking, horse-riding and have five dogs (they stay at home!). But we also love visiting foreign cities, going to museums, enjoying different architecture, eating out, going to movies. I lived in Paris for 3 years so speak French. We love holidays by the sea, surfing, walking on the beach, and spend time each year in Jersey. My theory is that life is for living and we should make the most of each day.
