About Patricia Limbird
I am a retired school teacher. I am the fourth generation owner of the property. The house was built in 1849 and has had many changes made to it since that time. My father was a farmer and I worked on the farm until I graduated from college. We specialized in growing sweet corn but now raise soy beans, wheat, and field corn.
Patricia Limbird purchased this House in 1995
Why Patricia Limbird chose Milan
The property has special meaning to me since it is where I grew up. It is in a safe, quiet location in the country, but close enough to towns to grocery shop, and buy most anything you would want. Being within 5 miles of Lake Erie is great because of the many activities the Lake area offers.
What makes this House unique
This nine room house is very clean which allows families to spread out during their stay. The kitchen is modern with dishwasher, microwave, and is well equipped. Outside is a patio, chairs, charcoal grill, and fire pit. The backyard is very large for children or others to play in. The area is safe and being in the country it is surrounded by farmland and it is quiet.

Great place to stay. Quite but kids can have fun. Adults too
Quiet, beautiful home. Great yard and convenient to everything that you would want to do.
I would definitely go back to this home, after the slight snafu we had checking in everything went smoothly.
Perfect for our Family Reunion
This is the 2nd time we had rented this property - My husband and I, along with my daughter and her husband and my son were in town for a family reunion in Vermilion and this house had plenty of room, very comfortable beds, and everything we needed for our stay. Just one note: Google Maps and Waze show this address as being in a cornfield on the other side of the highway for some reason ... my daughter had accidentally locked her car key in the house, and unfortunately I didn’t leave her a house key - I got lost trying to return to the house (I’m not so good with directions; I tend to rely on a navigation system ) so she could retrieve her car key - I called Jim who helps take care of the property and he kindly was at the house within 5 minutes to let my daughter back in the house.
Pictures don't do Justice
The outside area was great with a large yard and provided an opportunity for various outdoor activities. There was also plenty of space for parking on the property. The house is an older home but is clean and very well maintained with plenty of room to accommodate 8 people comfortably. The kitchen was fully furnished with appliances, pots and pans, and dishes. We enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice country get away.
My family always enjoys our Home Away From Home when we visit our relatives in OH. Thank you for sharing this beautiful and comfortable home with us.

Vermillion on the Lake Wedding
The property was awesome! I loved that there was more than enough space for 9 with everyone having beds and no one needing a sleeping bag for the floor. The serenity of being in the country/farming area was very refreshing from the hustle and bustle of the city.
My apprehensive, city dwelling daughters and grandchildren really loved it.. They've begun thinking of another reason to come back later this year.
The home was furnished nicely, had everything you needed, just like home.. A humongous back yard for children to run and play, a patio, barbecue pit and fire pit.
I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting any cities and towns along Lake Erie, Put-in-Bay and Cedar Point.
You can't go wrpng, It's well worth it.
