We gave the Y. Refuge a new Exterior Paint job, including the enclosed detached garage. Also we have a new heating system, emergency generator system, upgraded electrical, plumbing leak detection system, & the master bedroom has a huge remodeled closet.
Remodel for 2018 included:
Air Conditioning, New Fireplace, New living room sofa, Hardwood floors throughout, New carpet in bedrooms, New lighting, New patio furniture, Repainted, New ceilings

My Home In Yosemite West Offers A Secluded Sanctuary Twelve Miles Inside The Park Gates, Nestled In The Hills At 6000' In Elevation, And Far Away From The Low Lying Gateway Communities. Found Midway Between The Waterfalls And Granite Of Yosemite Valley, The Giant Sequoias Of The Mariposa Grove, And The Breathtaking View From Glacier Point, It's The Ideal Place To Set Up Your Base-camp. You Will Find All The Cooking Gear You Need Including Pots, Pans, Oxo Utensils, Coffee, Coffee Maker, Nespresso Machine, Toaster, Blender, Tea Pot, Microwave, Etc. You Have Your Choice Between Informal Eating At The Kitchen Breakfast Bar Or Setting A Full Table In The Dining Room

The Living Areas Of The House Are Treated In Rough Hewn Pecky Cedar Paneling And Beams Throughout Bringing The Natural Elements Of Yosemite To The House. In The Living Room, You Will Find A Flat Screen DVD Monitor (No TV) Surround Sound, and an Extensive Dvd Collection, Guidebooks And Novels. Satellite Internet Is Available For Checking Your Email And Browsing. (note That Satellite Internet Is Not Sufficient To Stream Video Or Other Bandwidth Intensive Activities).

Convenient being within the park so no queues to get in or out. Relatively central albeit still 30 mins to any of the main sights. 50 steep steps to get from the road / garage to the property which bookers ought to be aware of especially given the altitude meaning going up was a struggle even without luggage. Not a new property but very clean and great response from the owner Lori.

Wonderful cabin inside Yosemite. We spent almost a week at the Refuge. The weather was unusually cool for July and we did not even need the A/C during the day. There was a day without electricity but so much to do in the park we didn't even need it, was back on by dinner time. Beautiful sunsets on the balcony patio and the side entrance. Communication with owner before and during stay was excellent. There is a steep walk down stairs from the garage to the cabin, so be prepared for that. Plenty of hand rails.

Fantastic spot in Yosemite

We absolutely loved staying in the Yosemite refuge for our trip! It was close to the park and still felt like a remote cabin all to ourselves! The outdoor deck was a great spot to hang out and we had lots of fun with the board games at night.

Excellent option to stay inside park

If you’re looking to stay inside the park and avoid lines, this is a great option! Yosemite west is well situated to the most popular spots. The house is a bit rustic but that adds to the charm. Very comfortable considering you’re in the middle of a national park!

Fantastic home in perfect location

This was our first time in Yosemite - and this house was the perfect refuge. It was so nice to have a whole house (with kitchen and fireplace) to go back to without having to stay too far from the valley and other main sites. A great winter spot in particular because of its proximity to Badger Pass. Really so cozy and everything we needed for a perfect getaway.

Perfect Spot Just Outside Yosemite

Lori was great to communicate with and the house was perfect for our family of four as a jumping off point for our Yosemite adventures and to relax at the end of the day. Bonus points for being able to come into the valley through Tunnel View every day.
