About this property

RIVER LIFE ON A WARM SANDY BEACH ON THE RIVER NEXT TO DOWNTOWN ROGUE RIVER.

Located minutes off of interstate 5, river life is exactly what you need. Large sandy beach, camp fires, swimming and fishing right outside your camp. Rafting trips are also available if you are interested in going rafting, which is a great way to enjoy yourself on the river. It is a very mellow float and very safe for kids and families. Watch the osprey catch fish daily right in front of you. Fishing poles, firewood and fun are waiting for you. Come relax in the city of Rogue River, in which downtown Rogue River is walking distance from the property with great restraunts and bars. There is also a 30 mile bike trail that starts in Rogue River as well which goes along side of the river.. BEAUTIFUL!! Kick up your feet, put your toes in the sand, make lifetime memories and enjoy RIVER LIFE!

AMAZING STEELHEAD, SALMON AND TROUT FISHING HOLE OFF OF OUR SANDY BEACH.

GREAT RAFTING TO THE PRIVATE BEACH FROM UPRIVER AS WELL

We couldnt stay there and had to go find a hotel. Couldnt reach the host, couldnt find the property, mis advertised as a house, but its a tiny trailer, cant fit 10 people as advertised, not clean. I was mad that all my relatives had to be inconvenienced and i was embarrassed

Never had the chance
Host canceled our booking without communicating, just canceled. We were only coming for one night and looking forward to it. We didn’t learn that it was cancelled until midnight the night before.

Be aware
We were really looking forward to our stay on the river. When we arrived the door to the camper wouldn’t open, we thought it must be locked. The owner responded quickly to that call and told us pull hard “someone had slammed it prior and it was a little broken”. I’d also asked about the float in the water not being fully inflated and was told “it had been that way for 2 weeks” and it would still be fun to be on and use though he’d come the next morning to try to get it inflated. (Why not before when you knew about it?) Back in the camper, the AC in the back bonus room where the beds are, wasn't working when the thermostat said it should be. We had questions on the amount of water and showering for 6 people based on the hook up situation and not being a full hook up from what we could see. The owner was not answering our calls, messages, or texts at this point so we waited. While waiting we discovered dead bugs all over the bathroom floor and realized the door issue was actually a safety issue as it took people to finally get it to open again to go out after we’d closed it. Unfortunately the owner was not responding, so we called Vrbo (there were too many problems to stay). The owner did finally message back but any further interactions we had were defensive and changing stories/excuses for not being available so none of us truly know or trust what was going on. I’m glad VRBO backed us with their guarantee but it still ruined the trip for our family and friends.

About the host

Hello, my name is Jake. I am a dad of two wonderful kids Emma and Dalton, we own this beautiful property that sits right on the Rogue River. We sure feel blessed to have a place like this that we want others to experience this place too and make lifetime memories. I work in the solar industry here in Southern Oregon and am very active with my kids with sports and recreational activities. We love fishing, hunting, rafting and riding dirt bikes together as a family and we LOVE camping. River Life is a place where we love to interact with our guest around the beach campfire and make sure that everyone is having the time of their lives. I love giving guests pointers on where the fish are and how and what to use to catch them. The beach is covered in sand where kids can make sandcastles and walk in the water with sand between their toes. We sure look forward to watching you and your family enjoy yourselves and making those great memories at River Life.

Why they chose this property

We chose to buy this property because we love to fish raft swim and jetboat in our backyard while it sits right on the rogue river next to the safe little town where kids can walk downtown and know they are safe in a great community.

What makes this property unique

This home brings such joy to our life. If its not the beautiful views, river rushing just feet away or the Osprey (Wally) I saved from crashing into our towns bridge and has continued to stay close by, its the laughter coming from our children who know how lucky they are to live at this perfect little hide away. We are truly blessed to be here and want that feeling shared with our guests here at River Life
