Welcome to our home away from home! Capture a slice of Kingston's heritage in this historical frame home, built in 1811 by the local sheriff for his daughter. Period features remain with double-hung windows, Federal-style open staircase and fireplaces, while up-to-date furnishings bring contemporary comfort.
You will find the master bedroom downstairs with a queen bed and newly updated ensuite. The downstairs living room features a large sofa that sits 6-8 people and the fireplace can be operated upon request. The kitchen/dining room is bright and cozy, with its own gas fireplace and the table can be set for 8. In the summer, you will look out into a green oasis, and there is a patio with outdoor seating.
Upstairs you will find a generous-sized second bedroom and a smaller third bedroom with queen beds. There is also a large bathroom and a second living room with a tv with Apple TV (use your own login), XL-beanbag and built-in desk. You will also find our favorite room in the house which is the reading nook that looks out onto the historical stone houses of the Stockade. Kingston's burgeoning uptown district with its vibrant restaurants, cafes, and shops is a short stroll away.
The house has central heating and cooling throughout, which is controlled with a Nest thermostat. Other features include keyless entry, laundry, dryer and one parking spot.
A charming house filled with character and history for you to enjoy, just be patient with her quirks!
