About this property

Family-friendly Cottage With Pool In Stunning Location

‘Cantinho do Outeiro’ self catering accommodation is located in the beautiful and unspoilt village of ‘Outeiro’, in the heart of Sicó region - Central Portugal. With two bedrooms and a capacity of four people ‘O Cantinho do Outeiro’ offers unmatched comfort, privacy and tranquillity! Inserted in a rustic farm, our accommodation offers large parking space, beautiful gardens and a swimming pool full of character! Further amenities include: BBQ, fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, free Wi-Fi internet and air conditioning. With a good selection of restaurants in the area, and several shops close-by. We also offer useful touristic information about the region & suggestions for activities.

Please note: the pool is not immediately next to the house. It is located within the property, but about 50 meters away, in a very private and quiet location with panoramic views. The pool is private and for the exclusive use of guests; in no time it will be shared with other people. Occasionally, you might see our maintenance team, but the cleanings usually happen in the morning before 10am. The pool is not heated! Due to its more secluded location, children should always use the pool under the supervision of an adult. Our swimming pool may not be ideal for people with disabilities. Any additional questions, do not hesitate to contact.

The house and the pool area are part of a small farm (+/- 3500m2), which is owned by my parents. They live on the property in a separate house. Both houses are very private and have their exclusive space around; both have separate driveways as well. Only the access way to the pool area might be considered a 'shared space', since it is simultaneously access to my parents' garage, with very little movement. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Perfect host, House and location

A wonderful stay in a beautiful house. Location is stunning, views from pool are amazing. Close to so much stuff that you'll never struggle for things to see and do in ghus unspoilt part of rural Portugal. Host is superb and nothing is too much trouble.

Wonderful Country Cottage ❤️

The host is friendly and knowledgeable. The property is idyllic. The neighborhood is friendly and you can be almost anywhere in Northern Portugal in under 1.5 hours. The cottage is cozy and has everything you need. We lived our stay here.

Good place highly recommend

Good experience and place very clean. Our host was very thoughtful. We arrived on New Years evening and everything was closed. He had some snacks and sandwich stuff for us. The only thing was the beds were not very comfortable but overall still earns a top rating.

November stay

Great property in a very scenic area. We climbed in nearby Redinha and walked through the surrounding villages. The local supermarket was very friendly and well stocked and we recommend the local Brasserie/takeaway in Santa Guardia. We were warm during cold nights with the heating system and a blanket and had sunny clear weather during our stay. Eurico was very helpful and we knew we could reach out to him at any time if we needed assistance with anything. Great place to stay!

Our Portuguese Home away from Home

We stayed for a week and we only can recommend this house. It is run by the family and you really understand that the owner Eurico takes care about his well maintained property and his guests. He welcomed us with a long and detailed list of „What to Do, where to go, where to eat, where to shop“. There was something for everyone. Certainly more than what you can manage to do in a week. The pool is absolutely private, located in a nice garden. The house has everything you need and if anything is missing Eurico will help! We enjoyed the stay and would certainly come back!

Excellent vacation! Great people!

We have been for eight days in June 2018. The location is really wonderful. Everything is as described on the internet site. The WiFi internet connection really worked and we could connect our laptop computer and talk using Skype. The apartment has two bedrooms (each one accommodating two people) each one having its own climatisation. The dining/living area is excellent to work and relax (and has its own climatisation). There is a functional kitchen: stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, dishes and cooking utensils. There is also a washer. The bathroom has toilet/shower/sink/bidet. The property is well designed, very clean and well maintained. We could park our car just in front of the entrance. The owners are wonderful people and they made efforts to make our vacation a wonderful experience. We intend to come back.

Wir ,Horst und Katharina, waren von dem Aufenthalt hier sehr begeistert. Gerade die Ruhe abseits der Hektik der Städte hat uns sehr gut getan. Die Nähe zur Autobahn haben wir sehr geschätzt und so waren alle Ziele für uns schnell und gut zu erreichen. Natürlich geht in dieser Gegend ohne Auto nicht viel.Die Gastgeber waren auch unheimlich freundlich und sehr sehr hilfsbereit.Die Unterkunft war wie beschrieben und natürlich der schöne Pool ein toller Ort am Mittag.Gerne kommen wir wieder um die nächsten Ziele der Umgebung zu erkunden.Es gibt einfach so viel noch zu sehen.

Absolute Empfehlung für den Urlaub in Portugal

Unser Urlaub hier war wirklich perfekt. Die Anfahrt war durch eine exakte Wegbeschreibung und zusätzlicher GPS-Daten sehr leicht. Da wir sehr spät kamen, hatte der Vermieter bereits Kleinigkeiten für den nächsten Morgen eingekauft. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt und alles Nötige vorhanden - genügend Handtücher, Waschmittel, Kaffee.. Während unseres zweiwöchigen Aufenthaltes wurde der Pool mehrfach gereinigt und wir bekamen Bettwäsche und Handtücher zum Wechseln. Die Kommunikation und jeder persönliche Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war sehr freundlich und problemlos und unsere Privatsphäre auf dem Grundstück wurde jederzeit gewahrt. Wir werden sicher noch einmal wiederkommen.

Endroit idéal et calme

Très bon séjour

Très belle maison dans un environnement calme. Maison trés propre et bien équipé. Eurico sait prendre soin de ses hôtes par son accueil chaleureux, ses conseils, ses books...Il est toujours à l'écoute et de bons conseils. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour et nous recommandons cette location.

Prima, rustige ligging.

In een klein dorp met rustige omgeving ligt dit complet en functionel ingericht huis. Zwembad klein maar fijn. Boodschappen bij grotere supermarkt is 15 rijden. De gastheer vriendelijk, goed Engels, weet tips te geven. Er mag wel wat gezelligheid in het huisje komen.

Logement conforme au descriptif en tout point. Au calme, d'une propreté remarquable ainsi qu'un jardin verdoyant et tres bien entretenu, avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. Ce fût un sejour parfait dans un joli petit village aux jolis paysages. Tolle Unterkunft auch für Familien

Wir haben drei wunderschöne Wochen in den Ferien hier verbracht. Das Haus hat wirklich alles, was man im Alltäglichen so brazcht, vom Bügeleisen über Nähutensilien bis hin zum Verbandskasten. Die Vermieter sind sehr zurückhaltend, aber ständig umsorgend, um sicherzustellen, dass es einem an nichts mangelt. Alles in allem kann bemängele ich persönlich einzig die harten Matratzen, die aber leider in Portugal so üblich sind. Hier wurden noch Topper auf die Matratzen gelegt, um sie etwas weicher zu machen. Wir waren begeistert und können dieses schöne Ferienhaus wärmstens empfehlen.

Só bem a dizer

A estadia foi ótima. O local é lindíssimo e super calmo, perto de sítios muito bonitos e paisagens convidativas. Faz muito sol durante o dia e à noite está-se bem na rua com um casaquinho vestido. A casa muito bem organizada, com tudo o que é necessário, várias ideias do que fazer e muito cómoda. Cabe também referir a simpatia com que fomos recebidas pelo Pai do Sr. Eurico que é uma simpatia e que logo tratou de garantir que nos sentíssemos em casa. Por fim a piscina, que não permite braçadas mas uns bons banhos num sítio bonito =) A repetir com certeza*

Juste parfait

Location conforme au descriptif et à nos attentes. Accueil charmant, attentif sans être intrusif. Si on aime le calme, on y va les yeux fermés. RIEN aux alentours, 30 km minimum pour visiter ville, église, monument. Il faut une voiture. Mais nous le savions :) .Parfait pour découvrir le pays, et ses spécificités, les coutumes sans subir les hordes de touristes ,( que nous sommes aussi). Bref enchantés de nos vacances, même si nous ne reviendrons pas. Merci Eurico.

Nous avons passé deux semaines dans un petit coin de paradis. Infrastructures parfaites, hôte prévenant et disponible. Panorama splendide. Ce fut pour nous un point de chute parfait pour découvrir le centre du Portugal et se reposer.
