Amazing house! Amazing host. Such a nice location! Had a wonderful time. The host has thought of everything to make it super special. The views of the river are so relaxing and enticing.
A very nice period home in a beautiful setting. The home is immaculate with all of the necessary essentials for an extended stay. The host is very responsive and keeps in touch to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
We had a perfect stay - the house is adorable and was just right for two of us. The river and neighborhood are great, as was the proximity to the center of town. We'll be back!
We were visiting University of Hartford and this was the perfect place to stay outside of the city. Great space with all the conveniences of home. Wonderful food options within walking distance.
Our stay came after an 18" snowfall and near 0F cold in historic Collinsville, so we were concerned about our late arrival, parking, safe walkways and a warm home. What we found were shovelled and treated walkways, a freshly plowed parking space, lights and heat on and a lovely home on the banks of the frozen Farmington River. Coming from Texas, we couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome to Connecticut.Carol's 1860 home is nicely furnished and spotless. Crisp bed linens and oversized fluffy towels were a welcomed comfort. All amenities were just as described on her VRBO site, and communication was concise and helpful. Our biggest disappointment was such a brief two-night visit and more conviviality at the Crown & Hammer Pub down the street.
The view is breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and very clean! The owner is very nice and available if you have any problems. We enjoyed our stay and definitely plan on a return stay.
This house is quaint and beautiful. The location cannot be beat and the views are simply amazing. You will not be disappointed if you book this property. The host was very accommodating and gracious. Any season of the year will be spectacular in this home.
We were in town for several days for a family wedding. This space was a lovely retreat to return to at the end of busy days, and in easy reach of a variety of food options. The house was impeccable and had everything we could have need. The view of the bend in the river is especially dramatic.
Was wonderful to see our family and the game room was perfect Would love a bit more comfortable furnishings and bed in master and a bit more kitchen cooking items but overall was wonderful

Hi Becky,
I'm glad you had a nice stay. If there are specific kitchen items you would suggest please let me know.
Thanks!

This house was perfect for our visit to central CT. Great views, easy access to Collinsville center for food and the rail trail for morning runs, and plenty of space for a family if 4. Carol was very attentive and even brought extra games over for our kids! Would definitely stay again.
WONDERFUL cottage-like home in a perfect location....amazing river views, and plenty of walking trails abound. Being able to walk to the small, "New England" town center was a huge bonus, and the food/atmosphere in the local restaurants was excellent. We would certainly stay here again - thank you Carol, for being a fantastic host - the house was ready early, spotless, and again, had plenty to offer!
Home away from home, truly! But with a view and location to die for! Something for everyone: watersports, idyllic walks, bicycling, nearby amusement parks…you name it! We keep coming back- a new tradition…so happy that a place like this exists.
Wonderful spot in quaint Collinsville where you can kayak, shop the farmer's market on Sunday, or walk the beautiful walking/biking trails. This is a home away from home. The owner, Carol, is helpful and available should you need assistance. I plan on a return visit next year.
The house is immaculate and very tastefully decorated! The host was available for any question, although we had very few! The river view is spectacular, and will be even better with fall colors! The town of Collinsville is charming -- Don't miss the farmer's market on Sundays, and coffee at Lasalle! We loved our stay!
This beautiful home was perfect for our family of four. The views from the living room are amazing. We were so lucky to see such amazing fall colors. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the patio. The girls enjoyed the games that the host had. Carol our host was very responsive and even reached out about a Squishmellow that had been left behind,
We enjoyed our stay at Carol's home by the river. The home was clean and thoughtfully furnished for comfort. Collinsville is delightful. The only drawback for us was the noise from the road because we prefer open wiindows. Despite that we would still choose this home again if we are in the area.
Great location, really cute cozy home. Weather was not cooperative but Carol’s home was well stocked with books and board games. A marathon Monopoly game while watching the rainfall was restful and relaxing. Unfortunately our stay was cut short but we hope to return!
We loved everything about this beautiful home, especially walking access to everything in town, river and walking/biking trail! The host is very easy to communicate with at any time of day and is very helpful with any questions asked. We will come again next year. Thanks for everything, Carol!
